My name is Nikki. I am a stay-at-home mom and have 2 girls of my own (ages 21 and 16). I currently take care of 7 children in my home. Two will be relocating out of state the end of May and two otherchildren will be starting full time kindergarten in August, which in turn will make availability in my daycare.

Discovery Preschool Programs (2–3 Years)

The kids seem happy there, and they do fun projects. Management has changed recently, and the front office seems to be running more smoothly now (although I wasn’t unhappy before). Teacher turnover is probably typical for daycare centers. My children’s teachers have changed a few times in the last year. She knows her color and numbers in spanish along with learning to write her name and letters early. They have several classes extra they offer for kids such as phonics and cooking. The cooking must be good because my daughter has told me many times “no I only eat that at school”. 

  My second daughter is 13months and has attended since 6 weeks old. She was only 4 lbs when she started here. I never once worried about her safety. They allowed conformed to her schedule and we never had any problems. 

  Leaving your children with anyone besides family can be very difficult, but I would not hesitate under the care of Ashley (the director) and her team. This kindercare staff is our family. I know my children are safe and truly blessed to have each and every teacher in their lives. The facility is very clean compared to other places in the area when we toured them.

Do you offer part-time schedules at Fox Valley KinderCare?

Everybody’s schedule is different. We’re happy to offer quality, affordable part-time and full-time childcare. Drop-in care may also be available. Reach out to your Center Director to learn more.

How does naptime work at Fox Valley KinderCare?

Do you support alternative diets?

We strive to be as inclusive as possible. To that point, we provide a vegetarian option at mealtime, take care to not serve common allergens and can adapt menus based on your child’s food sensitivities. If your child has additional needs, we’ll work with you to figure out a plan.

Are meals included in tuition? Can I choose to send my child with lunch?

We provide nutritious meals and snacks developed by a registered dietician to meet the needs of rapidly growing bodies and minds. If your child has special dietary requirements and you would prefer to bring in their lunch, please make arrangements with the center director.

Does my child need to be potty-trained?

Every child begins toilet learning at a different age. Until your child shows an interest in toilet learning, we’ll provide diaper changes on an as-needed basis. When your child shows an interest, we’ll discuss how to work together to encourage toilet learning.
