Social Dogs Welcome
Boston Dog Company’s dog daycare is an exclusive private pet care provider. We only accept social

Dog Daycare Requirements
1.) Temperament evaluation:
Has you dog ever come to play with us before? If not, we’d like to meet your dog to make sure that she will be friendly with the other dogs. All dogs must pass our dog 3-phase temperament evaluation process prior to becoming a regular client. Temperament evaluations are scheduled by appointment. The initial temperament evaluation usually take less than a half hour and includes a tour of our facility. Forms needed to be completed at the evaluation can be found below.
2.) Vaccinations:
To begin the evaluation you will need to have proof that your dog has current vaccinations against Rabies, DHLPP, and Bordatella. Please note that bordatella vaccinations are not automatically given by most veterinarians unless requested, so you will want to double check your paperwork prior to coming for the evaluation. Because we are introducing your dogs to our pack all vaccinations must be present and current. Once you are ready, it is best to give us a call at to set up the time and location for the evaluation.
3.) Spayed/neutered:
All dogs over 7 months of age must be spayed or neutered.
Please print, fill-out and return all required documents prior to enrollment into Dog Daycare

About the Top 10 Child Care Facilities in the 2022 Boston Parents Paper Family Favorites
Boston Parents’ Family Favorites was born with the idea to give readers in Greater Boston and throughout the Northeast a chance to voice their opinions on their personal ‘Family Favorite’ choices for Child Care Facilities and everything kids and family. The program has evolved over the years, and hopefully, with a lot of input from our readers, we’ve been able to make it better and better.
The voting for Boston’s Family Favorite Child Care Facilities is conducted in a two-round process. The first round occurs in the month of March with open write-in nominations for parent’s favorite Child Care Facilities taking place. As more and more nominations come in, the most written-in Child Care Facilities become automatically selectable and listed making it easier and easier for people to cast their nominations. And write-in nominations continue to be open until the middle of April.
As the nomination period for Child Care Facilities in the first round comes to a close, shortly after, the second round opens with the top nominee Child Care Facilities being selectable in this final round of voting during the month of April and May. Write-in nominations are no longer available, and voters are open to select their favorite Child Care Facilities from among those that are listed.
The final winners are posted in the August issue of Boston Parents Paper
We hope you enjoy! And we hope you make your nominations and follow up with voting in the final round!

STEM – Hoffman-Boston
STEM Overview
900 Hoffman-Boston specializes in school-wide STEM. Students regularly participate in hands-on activities that lead to learning through discovery. Many of these practical activities will include engineering design tasks. Students are taught that “This is a process, not a product!” This gives students the opportunity to work at their level. This makes them more confident in taking risks and allows them to be persistent! We believe that every student is fully capable of succeeding both in and out of the classroom. Through years of study at Hoffman Boston, our students develop an understanding of the Engineering Design Process (EDP). Students at Kindergarten and Name appreciate, learn what STEM means, and develop an understanding of how what they draw can relate to what they have created. In elementary grades, students work independently at their level to complete an assignment. AT Second, and Third grades, students learn to work in the engineering design process using Project-Based Learning (PBL). Students will learn how to work in diverse groups and how to compromise. Students take turns in different roles (Team Leader, Materials Manager, Table Cop, Quiet Captain and Reporter). All students have the opportunity to be a leader in their group. At Fourth and Fifth grades, students can work through the PBL and tasks with minimal teacher support.
Engineering Design Process:
- ASK How can I solve the problem?
- IMAGINE that I can think of possible solutions and choose the best one.
- PLAN I can make a diagram, make a list of materials and show how these materials will be used.
- CREATE I can build a model that looks like my diagram.
- IIImprove I can test my model to see if it solves the problem. If not, I will find a way to fix it.
- REFLECT I can appreciate what I have done and share the results with others.
My name is Teresa Fields and I am thrilled to be the STEM coordinator at Hoffman Boston Elementary School. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to teach in a variety of settings at Arlington County Public Schools. I believe that through STEM education we can prepare students for their future. A STEM initiative at the elementary school level is essential to develop critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and creativity skills in the 21st century. This year, through project based learning and various design challenges, we will be using the DESIGN aspect of STEM as we learn more about real world issues.
At Hoffman Boston we teach students about STEM, “It’s a process, not a product!
Feel free to contact me at teresa.fields @apswa.us if you have questions or need more information. To see what we’re doing in the classroom and at school, I invite you to follow me on Twitter @HFBSTEM.
