Campers enjoy the hands-on discovery of nature through songs, movement, crafts, and exploration. At Nature Day Camp, we visit the four habitats of the park, beach, pond, meadow,
and forest. At the end of the week, we will have a pint-sized festival! All camp weeks are the same, the curriculum does not change.

Summer days are for being outside in the sun having fun. Our summer camp in the Bronx programs offer a wide variety of supervised activities designed to make a happy summer experience.

All activities and events are included in Summer Camp fees.

Summer Literacy Support Program – Academic Enrichment

Daily Reading, Math and Science Activities. This program is designed to help students maintain and further develop writing, reading and math skills over the summer.

Activities
Gardening, cooking, storytelling, skits, songs, dance, arts & crafts, special events, treasure hunts, show & tell, puppet shows and weekly trips.

Sports
Physical fitness and sports program include exercises as well as a complete sports program appropriate for each age group: basketball, baseball, football, soccer, games, races and relays.

Summer Fun at Little Stars
Summer Camp is designed to provide your child with a secure and enriched environment that includes opportunities for learning and fun. Our program enhances a lively balance of activities to supplement your school-aged child’s day, including:

1. Opportunities to design and create projects of interest and to develop new skills.
2. Storytelling activities that foster a beginner’s love of reading.
3. Dramatic play activities that help your preschooler experiment with different roles and make sense of his/her world.
4. Music and movement experiences that expand your child’s creativity and interest in sound & movement.
5. Outdoor play and sports activities that encourage physical and social skill development.
6. Art & fine motor activities that contribute to pre-writing skills.

Clothing:
Please send a bathing suit, towel, complete change of clothing, sheet for naptime and book bag. Your child’s name or initials should be clearly marked on all of the above.

Medical:
Health examination is required.

Payments:
A 2 week deposit is due at the time of registration. Trips & Activity fees are included in the above prices. Deposits will not be refunded after May 1st. Absolutely no refunds will be given due to absence or withdrawal.

Ruukki Pludmales centrs – Adventure Summer Camp

For seven years we have been running exciting, exciting summer camps for children, but this year is going to be very special. This is due to the fact that the summer camp has moved to a new modern RUUKKI beach center, located in close proximity to the former home of “Brazil”, in Marupe. This year, on sunny summer days, we will frolic in a huge outdoor stadium, but on rainy days, we will work in one of the covered sand areas or creative spaces. nine0003

RUUKKI Summer Beach Day Camp is for 4-12 year olds and will run as usual on weekdays almost all summer, so parents don’t have to worry about their kids having fun during summer vacation time. The camp is planned from June 14 to August 20 , except June 21-25 during the week of the summer solstice. Camp opening hours: weekdays from 8:00 to 18:00.
Parents can apply for any week of camp when needed. Applications can be submitted for several weeks, for a month or for a longer period.

Lessons are taught in Latvian, but English and Russian speaking children are also welcome as the teachers will speak to them in their native language. nine0003

All creative and sports activities of the camp are based on four fundamental values:

4. Healthy child

Every day the children will be met and cared for by professional teachers and nannies. In order to make it more interesting for children, a different theme has been chosen for each week during the summer, with which children get to know through games, creative workshops, shows and guest lecturers. Twice a week children practice volleyball with the coaches of our Beach Volleyball Academy.

Children are provided with healthy and quality food three times a day – breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. Meals are prepared on site. The menu includes traditional and children’s dishes.

Art Camp Program:

1. Culinary master classes. Let’s make elegant cookies, delicious nuts and cake “Shishki”.
2. Hand-made workshops. Let’s sew a Christmas tree toy out of felt, which will first decorate your Christmas tree, and then turn into your favorite keychain, and create a real handmade postcard. nine0051
3. Drawing and painting workshops. Under the careful guidance of our artist, we will paint with gouache and acrylic with structural paste.

• The art camp is open from 9. 00 am to 3.00 pm
• You can arrive at 8.30 am and stay in the after-school game room until 6.00 pm
• You must bring a change of footwear.

Meals

• 11.25 – a free fruit cafe is open in the camp, where children can refresh themselves with hot sandwiches, fruits, drink cocoa or tea.
• 13.15 – lunch at the camp. To do this, you need to bring a bag in a container. We’ll put it in the fridge and then heat it up.
