I am surprised at myself. Only the strength of persuasion on the part of an authoritative colleague prompted me to visit another creative zone, but located already in the depressive part of the historical center of the city. Since the event has already happened, there is nothing to complain about, but with each step I became more and more convinced of the futility of what was happening, however, for the sake of the purity of the experiment, we will consider the visit worthy in order to record it in modern chronicles. nine0005

Elevator to the last floor, as I understand it, to the settled living spaces on both sides of the stairs leading to the roof. There is nothing to do in the premises (one of the two generally consists of empty square meters with a bar counter), but on the terrace in sunny weather it is quite comfortable to be, if you disregard the corrosive roofing on the opposite side and the ugly brick-electric intricacies in the immediate vicinity. It also interferes with the smoke from cigarettes carried by the wind from a smoking haven, in fairness, located yet, as far as possible, at a remote distance from the dining area. nine0005

The service is diligent, but it is clear that it is not very professional, seasonal. All these “ducks”, “soups”, “salads” from the lips of a pretty young lady caused bewilderment at best, and at worst, irritation beginning to develop. To hell with it, this can be heard from an adult man in a T-shirt under a white shirt, who laid down his life on the altar of middle-class oriental establishments, but from a young maiden one would like to feel modern correct speech.

The menu is small, well organized into sections. True, the execution of dishes is somewhat average in terms of a set of spices. I want to cover everything with something spicy. Pricing is great if you only look at cost and don’t take into account the lack of spiciness. nine0005

Duck riet. Three large sandwiches with one ring of cayenne pepper. There are no complaints about the quality of bird fibers, but their taste is completely even, like porridge without salt and oil. You can safely offer to the diet suffering from diseases of the gastrointestinal tract.
Ear. Even the photo shows that this is another position for adherents of diet food, although the fish is really good.
Celery root cream soup. In the kitchen, apparently, after all, they tried to portray something sparkling – it turned out to be a “four” according to the school city of grades. nine0005

Potato salad with asparagus and cod. In general, not bad, but the overall construction is somewhat spaced out. The ingredients themselves are minimal cohesion, however, the cod is excellent.
Salad with marinated duck and soy sprouts. Very well. A big pile of everything in a sprinkling of hazelnuts, or something, or peanuts … True, even here there was not enough spices.

Cutlets of two types of fish with mashed peas. The idea is great. The fish is excellent, but, again, for baby food. A lot of peas. nine0019 Duck confit with red cabbage. Hooray! The meat separates well from the bone, the crust is crispy, the cabbage and sauce add sparkle.

It is clear that the institution, like all others located in the cluster, is intended mainly for young people under thirty, and therefore I can only express my own opinion and boldly retire.

1995, Drama, Military, Ukraine

A very topical film was shot in 1995 by Ukrainian director Grigory Kokhan about Western Ukraine. Who would have thought that, having gone through grief, hardships, huge losses in the war and having begun to get on their feet a little, the Ukrainians would again find themselves at a broken trough? The historical drama film Executed Dawns will show what the authorities have been hiding for many years, how the valiant Soviet soldiers actually behaved towards their brothers of yesterday. nine0005

The action takes place in a Ukrainian village. People were presented with a choice – forced collectivization or forced exile to Kolyma. Thus, the authorities fought with the recalcitrant and objectionable. Building Soviet Ukraine and hiding behind a task from above, the NKVD officers established their own laws and orders, which a group of people who call themselves Bandera tried to resist.

No matter how much the locals wanted to exist in the world, they still fell into a vise between partisan detachments and the new government. Any help to patriotic nationalists was severely punished, any complicity in defending their land ended in arrests, confiscation of property, and even murder, as you can see if you watch Executed Dawns online. nine0005

The picture was taken on the basis of historical documents that have been under seven seals for so long. No matter what the zealous followers of the Soviet ideology say, no matter what Soviet textbooks tell them, no matter how they deny the genocide of the Ukrainian people, but such facts took place. This is a whole period of struggle in the fate of Ukraine for the native land, the national language, the father’s house.

10 years have passed since the release of the film, and the events of a century ago are repeated again already in the east of the Ukrainian independent state. Again, a bunch of people decide how to live, what language to speak, to present truth or lies from TV screens. And again abandoned houses, orphaned children, devastation and disorientation of the population. They say the truth: whoever does not know his past has no future. This can be seen if Executed Dawns is of good quality to watch online. History teaches and always puts everything in its place.
