June 22, 2022

June 22 is a day of memory and sorrow, a mourning date in the history of Russia. On this day, wreath-laying, watching films about the war, etc. are traditionally held in children’s camps.

DOL “Green Island” this year also continued the tradition – the whole day was devoted to the Day of Remembrance.

Every year, a memory line dedicated to the day of the beginning of the Great Patriotic War is held at the Green Island recreation center. By tradition, the line ends with the laying of a wreath on the waters of the Gulf of Finland in memory of the dead sailors.
