Growing minds and bodies through meaningful play

Cognitive & Physical Development

Your baby will explore and experiment with hands-on activities that connect learning to their interests. See below for examples of stimulating experiences that use themes, reading, music, art, physical activity, and daily outdoor times to reinforce skills and help your child accomplish important milestones.

  • Placing a book just within reach presents a small physical challenge, encourages your infant to explore and inspires persistence.
  • Important math and science skills are developed as children experience new encounters through touch, taste, sight, hearing, and smell each day.

Expanding horizons through the art of expression

Language & Literacy Development

Meaningful interactions with adults allow babies to develop important communication skills. Teachers connect with each child by describing experiences, reading stories, singing songs, and teaching sign language to improve literacy.

  • As part of daily activities designed to promote communication and reduce frustration, sign language helps your baby express basic emotions, wants and needs.
  • Mimicking vocal sounds like babbling, cooing, gurgling, growling, and giggling enhances language development.

Celebrating our differences while sharing our joy

Social & Emotional Development

We understand how unique your baby and family are and honor that fact with respect to each family’s culture or needs. Whether it is reading books that celebrate diversity or hearing teachers describe family photos placed around the room, your baby will have a solid foundation for making friends and accepting differences.

  • Creative activities that include simple art materials and musical instruments allow for plenty of self-expression.
  • We seek to build self-esteem and encourage acceptance through the use of multi-cultural puppets and toys to tell stories, introduce concepts, and sing songs.

Curriculum

The most important thing in school is how well children acquire knowledge. The curriculum includes all carefully designed activities for children so that their learning takes place as efficiently as possible. The curriculum covers much more than can be written, from the behavioral expectations we have for kids, to how change happens, how relationships are built and maintained, to how our circles and clubs are organized and run.

Curriculum documentation contains the basis for building the entire educational process. It helps to provide a balanced and rich curriculum.

The main language of communication at the school is English. Reading, writing and speaking are taught in accordance with the learning objectives defined by the England and Wales Literacy Programme. A variety of materials for both students and teachers are used in the classroom as additional aids in language teaching.

Mathematics curriculum is designed in accordance with the UK Mathematics Teaching Standards. It clearly defines the level of knowledge, skills and concepts that students should have at each stage of learning.

The International Primary School Curriculum is also used for all other subjects. Designed for elementary age students, this curriculum brings together the best school curricula from around the world.

There are four ways to achieve the Early Years learning goals for students aged 7, 9 and 12. These include “learning goals”, “personal goals” and “international goals”. Subject objectives: history, geography, arts, information technology, music, physical education, science, technology, personal development and development as members of the international community. Each subject has well-defined learning objectives that define what children should know, be able to do and understand by the end of each grade.

The International Primary School Curriculum is taught in a thematic manner, with subjects organized into modules. Each module has a title and contains a certain number of activities designed specifically for children. Each module has clearly defined learning objectives for each subject.

This curriculum introduces students to a variety of new concepts, concepts, and skills. It is also vital as it offers a comprehensive general education and, where possible, relates to your child’s real life experience. This curriculum is unique in that it contains clearly defined learning objectives for both international and personal development.

Each class has students of different skill levels. The needs of each are taken into account by selecting the level of the proposed work for the group and for each student individually. Thanks to this differentiation, all children have the opportunity to develop at their own level.

In addition to the main curriculum, children also learn Russian.

Information technology and Internet access under the supervision of teachers is an important part of the educational process in our school. Students use computers as an aid in the process of studying various subjects, and in particular in assignments for the international curriculum, which requires research and access to information from various sources.
