We are so sad that the next year will be our family’s last at CLS. Our children have been pushed out of their comfort zones by loving, supportive staff who brought out the best of them. They perform to the best of their abilities because it’s “cool” to be smart and involved at CLS. Here they learned self-reliance, accountability, good study habits and time management in addition to all the academic things we had expected. Their love of Jesus has blossomed so much that we have no doubt faith will be a permanent part of their lives. One of the most awesome parts of attending CLS has been the beautiful relationships with now life-long friends for our whole family. We started in preschool and will end with 8th grade…. all incredible years for which we are grateful.

This school is a nurturing and loving environment with rigorous academics and erudite teachers. It was an excellent experience in my life.

I was a middle school student here back in the early 2010’s, and I still look back with distain during my time here. This school unnecessarily breaks down their students to be anxious and on edge when it comes to the simplest of assignments…these teachers are not afraid to hand out F’s whether you deserve them or not, because “colleges don’t look at your middle school years”. Favoritism runs VERY deep, and they don’t take kindly to new students. As a recent college graduate, I can say I took universally nothing from CLS, and the only real impact I was left with was a very low self-esteem and an SSRI prescription. I’m not sure how it is now, but during my time there, racism and bigotry was pretty abundant. I was a transfer in from a more Hispanic heavy part of town (and am 1st Gen myself) and was constantly reminded of it. My parents wanted to send me here for a “better education”, and honestly, I wish they had just sent me to the public middle school in my hometown.
