Preschool Teacher Resume Examples for 2023

When organizing your resume sections, there are three general resume formats you can follow. These are the chronological format, which emphasizes work history, the functional format, which emphasizes skills, and the combination format, which emphasizes both. These formats utilize the same sections but in different order.

Contact information

The header with your contact information will always be at the top of your resume regardless of your chosen format. This will include your full name and any professional portfolio links (such as LinkedIn), in addition to your phone number and email. It’s essential to make it as easy as possible for the recruiter to contact you.

Resume summary or objective

The resume summary or resume objective comes next. A resume summary is a brief overview stating what your relevant experience can bring to the preschool. It is a clear and concise two or three-sentence paragraph that details your career background and any specialties you want to highlight. In contrast, a resume objective is a brief statement that communicates your career goals. If you have less experience of preschool teaching, then this may be the better option.

Skills

For a preschool teaching, spotlight key competencies and skills that you possess to help fulfill the job description. Choose a mix of hard and soft skills to highlight. Preschool recruiters are looking for the following skills in applicants.

  • Classroom management skills
  • Knowledge of relevant learning theory (Montessori, for example)
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving
  • Experience with lesson plans
  • Organizational skills
  • Time management
  • Creativity – can get specific if you have arts and crafts experience or storytelling abilities that can translate to learning activities
  • First aid
  • Empathy and compassion

In the skills section of your preschool teacher resume, it’s crucial to convey that you have the personality traits conducive to a caring, compassionate caregiver. Then, back this up with some knowledge and expertise in the principles of education.

Work history

List your previous work experience in reverse chronological order in this section. Include any prior experience working in preschools or education with a brief overview of your duties. Remember, the emphasis is to demonstrate your relevant experience and how this will apply to a future role within a preschool. You can still include other work experiences outside of education. Just remember to highlight experiences that show the relevant competencies that will apply to the role of a preschool teacher. To this end, add any relevant internships or professional development like teacher conferences.

Education

Education and training requirements vary from state to state for preschool teachers. It’s essential to establish that you have the necessary documents to take care of children in a classroom setting. This section is your opportunity to share your relevant education. This may mean a bachelor’s degree in Education or a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential. You typically need at least an associate’s degree.

We teach and learn | Tensor

Learn and Learn | Tensor – IT company

CODDY School

Programming is cool! We decided to tell about this not only to students, but also to schoolchildren. And not just to tell, but to teach them how to program 😉. Tensor and the Einstein Museum of Entertaining Sciences have opened a new direction for the development of children – Coddy School. Improve your skills in the classes and learn the basics of programming to become a real professional when you grow up.

Here is a list of courses for future IT professionals:

Everyone will be able to try himself as a real programmer and create working software from scratch in less than an hour. Young IT specialists will take part in direct programming workshops, understand the basics of algorithmization, image and text analysis – everything that will be useful to them in the near future. And most importantly, they will be charged with the idea of finding themselves in IT.

Excursions

“What do I want to be when I grow up?” – in search of an answer to this question, schoolchildren often come to visit us. The surprise on the faces of the guys is replaced by an enthusiastic smile, and vice versa, because on a tour in the main office of Tensor they discover so many new things for themselves!

Finding out how a large IT company works from the inside is not just a great success, but also an opportunity to look into your future and decide on a profession. We immerse children headlong into the wonderful world of information technology: we introduce the very young to general concepts and explain in simple words why VLSI is needed and what professions exist in IT. And we tell older guys about specific areas of work and share with them secrets on how to get to us not as a guest, but as a real employee.

Do you want to organize a tour? Write to: [email protected]

Tensor Hack

Many students are looking forward to the end of the year, but not because of the holidays. In December, Tensor traditionally holds a large-scale student hackathon Tensor Hack! This project was the beginning of the careers of many leading programmers in Yaroslavl and even beyond.

Tensor Hack is a 72-hour non-stop IT marathon. Participants break into teams and code to the limit, occasionally being distracted by sleep and food. Under the guidance of mentors – the company’s leading programmers – in 3 days they create really working projects: applications, games and much more. The winners receive a scholarship with the possibility of subsequent employment at Tensor. Do you want to test your skills and prove that programming is your everything? Then follow the news in the official Tensor groups on social networks and register!

Department of Tenzor

“Do you want to get an ideal employee? Grow it yourself! — we follow the principle of work of many large IT companies. For this, in 2018, we launched the Department of Tensor. This is one of the coolest joint initiatives we have with YarSU. Demidov, where we help children gain real experience, direct their knowledge in the right direction and become in-demand specialists in the dynamically developing IT market.

Experienced developers of Tensor have prepared full-fledged training courses for bachelors and masters of the Faculty of Mathematics, as well as the Faculty of Informatics and Computer Engineering of YarSU. Throughout the academic year, students receive unique knowledge about user interface design, software testing, mobile and web development, and much more. The plans include training in the implementation of information systems and the operation of server equipment.

Tensor Land

Tensor prepares staff right from the university bench. We are friends with the largest universities in the country and organize cool events for IT students. Only thanks to these events, over the past year, our team has replenished with several dozen young IT specialists. One such event is Tensor Land.

Instead of listening to abstruse lectures, let’s go on a journey… through the magical land of Tensor Land! This is an exciting quest, where students can learn about the development process of our VLSI system and get acquainted with the main IT areas: design, development, testing and technical support using the example of life situations. At each stop, participants will experience tests of various levels of difficulty.

Prizes await the most resourceful and enterprising, and some, perhaps, an invitation to work!

Tensor Camp

In the summer we move from stuffy offices to nature. And we invite you to join us! Tensor Camp is a campground specially created to exchange experience with IT students. We organized it outside the city so that you could immerse yourself in development for a few days.

Just imagine: you, a forest, a river, a fire, tents and programming. And also useful workshops and meetings with leading experts of Tensor. You will go through an interesting path from an idea to the release of a software product. Well, what about without an after-party? In the evening we communicate and eat kebabs together. Participation is free! All you need is a sleeping bag or a tent, a laptop, a thirst for adventure and a desire to learn more about the high-tech world.

Don’t forget to subscribe to Tensor in social networks and follow the news.

Tensor School

Tensor is storming the student ranks! Has it become crowded within the university? Then we are waiting for you at the frontend and backend programming schools for IT students in Yaroslavl, Kostroma, Novosibirsk and Tyumen.

We put a strong emphasis on practice – only real work is closer. All tasks are divided by topic and are designed in such a way that each of the students can prove himself, and the teachers note who is capable of what kind of work. After such schools, our team becomes even more cool, talented specialists and bright minds. And it’s cool! In the meantime, the guys’ eyes are burning, there is a desire and a lot of energy, we will continue!

School of Linux

Universities don’t teach Linux yet. In order to master the administration of the Linux OS, many pay large sums. And Tensor is ready to share experience for free – in a school for system administrators and DevOps engineers.

The training program is unique, our Leading Operations Specialists wrote it from scratch based solely on their professional experience. In just a couple of months, students learn how to maintain Linux systems, use databases, gain basic skills for development in DevOps, get acquainted with the structure of web servers, and even be able to create their first website.

Meetups

We always have something to tell the world and other developers. We have combined all the most interesting and useful things into a large-scale Tensor Forum – free meetups for testing, frontend and backend development. Such meetings are regularly held in Yaroslavl, Kostroma, Rybinsk, Tyumen, Kazan, Ufa and Kaliningrad.

Meetups have no place for boring reports. Getting to know each other, communicating, arguing in search of truth and sharing experience – that’s what we really love! Here you can meet those who are faced with the same issues as you and can help in solving them.

Tensor Forum is a platform where new trends are discussed, solutions to non-trivial problems are analyzed, insights and advice are given to move forward. In general, here we are talking about everything that will help in the work of a programmer – with boring theory, real examples and pieces of code.

Welcome-training

We understand that great specialists are not born, but become. Therefore, in our company, newcomers take a special course for a young fighter. The first month of work is special, and we pay maximum attention to those who have just joined us. At the well training, new employees plunge headlong into the world of Tensor, study our system and get inspired. We show and tell how different processes are arranged from the inside, what is the corporate culture in the company, we give the opportunity to feel in the thick of events.

Mentoring, courses, tests and a clear learning plan for a trial period to keep progress under control, and games, quests and peer support to make it easier to join the team.

Language courses

We are fluent in programming languages. And now we are learning English together. Not so long ago, we launched English language training. How did we do it? All thanks to the beloved SBIS! Training is conducted remotely, from workplaces, without using any third-party video communication services. Everything is our own “from and to”: platform, curriculum, teachers.

We can proudly say that teaching English at Tensor has already reached an all-Russian scale! Training is conducted at Tensor’s offices in Yaroslavl, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg and Kostroma. (Moreover, we were able to combine different branches within the same time zone in one lesson. Tver – Saransk – Volgodonsk, Tula – Ryazan – Orel, Abakan – Tomsk were examples of such successful tandems.) Our new goal is English through VLSI in each branch of the company! 🙂

Internal meetups

It is impossible to know everything, but we always strive for it. Therefore, Tensor welcomes internal seminars, conferences and meetups in every possible way. And all the employees love them, believe me, not only for delicious pizza and unlimited coffee. 🙂

Meetups are informal meetings that are completely different from boring business events – this is their value. We exchange ideas, learn ourselves and help others learn, ask questions that have been haunting for a long time, and get answers to them. In a relaxed atmosphere, we discuss novelties (new interesting technologies, new approaches, or some theoretical foundations) and share our own findings. Such meetings help to look at our work processes from a different angle.
