The Daily Walk
Many years ago I decided to add a daily walk around our neighborhood to our morning schedule. We started out small by walking around our long block. We clocked it in the car and found that it was six-tenth of a mile. That took about seventeen to twenty minutes depending on the skill set and age of the walkers…..

Transporting Daycare Kids
I know there are many types of agreements between parents and providers when it comes to having children in the provider’s vehicle. Bobrovsky did not help: Vegas beat Florida in the first match of the Stanley Cup final
Across the ocean, the final series of the Stanley Cup started, in a decisive confrontation, Vegas and Florida met. The first match ended with the victory of Vegas with a score of 5: 2, as part of the team, Ivan Barbashev earned a point for an effective pass, and Florida goalkeeper Sergey Bobrovsky saved 29 shots. “Gazeta.Ru” – about the main events of the meeting.
Neither Vegas nor Florida have ever won the Stanley Cup before, although both teams have reached the series decider at one time or another. Now one of them will definitely win the coveted cup, and, one way or another, the Russian hockey player will become the owner of one of the main trophies of world hockey. Forward Ivan Barbashev is fighting for Vegas as part of Vegas, and goalkeeper Sergei Bobrovsky is dragging Florida to victory.
It is to Bobrovsky that great attention is riveted in this series. The first Russian winner of the Vezina Trophy and the only Russian to win this prize twice became a real playoff hero, and it was largely thanks to him that the Panthers managed to reach the final series for the second time in their history.
The first game of the Eastern series final against the Carolinas, which Florida won in overtime, and Bob made a crazy 63 saves, can be put apart.
However, the first match of the Stanley Cup final was not the most successful for the Panthers, to put it mildly, even despite the game of the Russian goalkeeper, despite the fact that it was they who opened the score. The already high degree of the meeting was pushed to the limit in the ninth minute of the first period, when a massive brawl ensued on the ice – and the goalkeeper of the Knights Edin Hill took an active part in it. The only, however, removal based on the results of the brawl was earned by the striker of Florida, Nick Cousins.
And it was in the minority that Bobrovsky’s team managed to score: Eric Staal left the entire Knights defense out of work, swept behind the net and sent the puck into the near corner.
Vegas bounced back shortly before the first break, and again in the majority. Jonathan Marchesseau received a perfect pass from behind the goal from Chandler Stevenson and shot Bobrovsky from a couple of meters. With all his talents and abilities, Sergei could not repel such a crazy throw – and hardly anyone could.
It would be unfair to deprive Bobrovsky Hill of attention. The goalkeeper of Vegas was in leading roles not only in brawls. At the beginning of the period, he made an incredible save, already seemingly out of the episode.
However, he did not allow Cousins to hit the empty net with a penny, exposing his stick at the last moment.
Soon the “knights” took the lead, and here Shi Theodor played superbly. On the blue line, he left Anthony Duclair to rest with a few graceful pirouettes, moved to the center, went forward and calmly and accurately put the puck into the corner. No one could or even tried to stop him.
Duclair, however, quickly corrected himself. In the last seconds of the second period, the guests earned a throw-in, it was won by Alexander Barkov, and Anthony from the right circle delivered a short and sharp throw, for which Hill was not at all ready. The teams went to the second break with an equal score, postponing the showdown for the final 20 minutes.
And the ending was left to Vegas, and here Barbashev made his significant contribution. In the 47th minute, he made a pass from the boards to Zach Whitecloud, who sent the puck into the corner with his hands.
Bobrovsky turned out to be powerless again. And Barbashev has already scored 16 (6+10) points in 18 playoff games. In addition, by the way, in this match he became the leader of the team in power moves – he had five hits on his account. The point in the game, in fact, was put by Mark Stone, who took advantage of Matthew Tkachak’s gross mistake, again leaving the Russian Florida goalkeeper no chance.
The challenge taken by the Panthers’ coaching staff only resulted in the team being fined for running out of time. The last minutes for Florida were further aggravated by the removal of Tkachak and Sam Bennett0003
Even in this situation, Bobrovsky continued to carry everything he could.
