Rachel Strauss

Director

Rachel is thrilled to join Clinton Path Preschool as the new director/teacher.   She has over 15 years of experience working with preschool aged children in a variety of diverse settings.  Rachel began her career in early childhood education here in Boston working with the homeless population. Most recently, she was the associate director and admissions director of a childcare center in New York City. Rachel’s favorite thing about working with young children is watching them grow and develop so much from day to day.  She also has a passion for social emotional learning.  In her free time, Rachel loves the beach, being in nature, and exploring Boston.

Bretton Clark

Lead Teacher

Bretton is overjoyed to join Clinton Path as a Lead Teacher. She comes with over 10 years of experience working with children and families. Most recently teaching pre-k in Belmont, MA. She graduated from Wheelock College in 2016 with a Dual degree in Early Childhood Education and Visual Arts. Bretton is a 200 hour registered yoga teacher for both adults and children. She has recently received her certification in a London-based program called Relax kids; a program to help children understand and regulate their emotions through play, stretching, breath, meditation, and visualization. While working with children, her passions lie in supporting social-emotional growth and awareness as well as creating fun and engaging provocations that will fuel each child’s curiosity and love for learning. In her free time she loves kickboxing, singing, practicing yoga, painting, rewatching Game of Thrones, floral arrangement and taking care of her 32 plants.

Terry has been with the school for over 20 years, first as a substitute, then lead teacher, and most recently as Director.  This year, Terry resumed her role as Lead Teacher at CPP because she loves working with children so much she couldn’t retire!  Terry designed our CPP logo, bringing together her love of Matisse, the Fibonacci numbers and the natural world.  Terry’s warm presence creates a nurturing, and stimulating environment where your child benefits from her love of yoga, gardening and art.   On each student’s birthday, Terry draws a special picture on his or her envelope and encourages all the students to make birthday cards.
