Overall

I am an employee at Always Learning Daycare Center. I have worked for the center for about 6 years. My son started going to the center when he was a year old all the way until he starrted kindergaten and went to school full time. ALDC provides a clean, safe and nurturing envirnment. The staff is well trained, friendly and provide a welcoming atmosphere for the children. They plan activities for the children that make learning fun and exciting. i also enjoy that the center is christian based. My son loved his bible lessons and saying prayer before he would eat at the center. We still say the prayer that he learned at the center before we eat at home. My son enjoys learning and he loves school and I know its because of his great experience at Always Learning Daycare Center. I would recommend this center to my family and friends.

Rare Daycare

My two children have been going here for 2 1/2 years and 1 year. I am always very informed about their behaviour and if they see any issues with my children. I am called if they fall or hurt themselves immediately. Both of my children by 9 mths knew their body parts and could sign language please, thank you and more. Both of my children are quite advanced and I truly believe it is because of this daycare and its workers. I love that they get developmental along with Christian foundations. My children get a structure day with story, music, and craft time. They also have a video cam system set up so I can see them whenever I want. I cant say enough about this daycare!

HOME | Kids Country Childcare & Learning Center

SCROLL DOWN

Kids Country has been an extension of our family for the past 5 years. From the outstanding preschool curriculum to the nurturing environments that surround our kids on a daily basis. We are both whole-heartedly at ease knowing our kids are being taken care of by a staff who genuinely cares for their overall well-being. We feel blessed to have found such a strong community to be a part of.

-Chris & Dana DeLeo

I used to be a Kid’s Country student and had some of the best times and memories there. We were always learning and doing new things. It was a nice place with wonderful teachers—nothing has changed. That’s why, when I started looking for a daycare for my daughter Anna, I only had to look in one place! I knew that Kid’s Country would take good care of Anna just like they did for me. They have watched her go from diapers to a schoolbag and continue to be very involved with Anna. My daughter and every student always have fun activities and holiday parties to attend. I go to work knowing my daughter is in a safe, educational, and above all caring environment. So, thank you Kid’s Country for playing a big part in mine and my daughter’s life!

-Karissa and Family

All four of our children have attended Kids Country. As such we have interacted with Kids Country on every level from infant care all the way up through school age. Kids Country is a wonderful place where I know my children are not only well cared for but loved. As our childcare provider we have come to know Kids Country as a second home that is always available to lend a helping hand when needed.

-The Vincent Family

We originally chose Kids Country because of their convenient hours which work with our hectic schedules. We love the staff, who is always friendly and welcoming. Kids Country and staff have helped tremendously with Carson. At times he can show quite a bit of excitement but the staff has adjusted to him and have been able to gain his trust and focus.

-Dobek/Monzo Clan

I just want to say from my heart that Kids Country has been the best, for myself and my family. The love and support the teachers give to my children means everything to us. I can go to work and always have my mind at ease because I know my children are well loved, learning and most of all, safe. I just want to express how much we love Kids Country like family. We love you all and greatly appreciate you.

-The Chambers Family

Kids Country is the best day care in the Poconos. My brother started going there when he was two years old (which was sixteen years ago), I also went there as a kid for the after-school program and summer camp. Most of the best summer memories I have as a kid were the ones I spent at Kids Country. Now, I send my daughter to Kids Country. Like most parents, picking the right day care for your child(ren) is hard. The hardest part for me is leaving my daughter while I go to work, but I know that she is safe and having fun there. Kids Country is like family. They treat the kids with love along with implementing an educational curriculum and the children’s safety. Kids Country is always updating me on my daughter’s progress and new things they are teaching her. I couldn’t be any happier with deciding to use Kids County!!!!

Kindergartens that change ideas about raising children

September 27, 2017, 09:36

Dobrosti

The term “kindergarten” originated in 1837 in Germany, quickly came into use in different countries, including Russia. Our first kindergarten opened in the second half of the 19th century in St. Petersburg, and until 1917, when the system of preschool education became public and free, kindergartens were private. In 1945, after the Great Patriotic War, the first nursery appeared, in which parents could leave their babies for the whole day already from the second month of their life. nine0003

Today, teachers in kindergartens have complete freedom of action, not only in the use of different teaching methods and curricula, but also in the organization of space. We will describe how teachers in kindergartens use these opportunities using the example of Astrakhan and Kazan.

Astrakhan. Children’s Village

Children’s songs from cartoons on the outskirts of the village of Mayachnoye in the Astrakhan region are now heard every morning. Three years ago, Russia’s first “children’s village” for preschool children was opened here. The idea appeared suddenly, when the village began to grow, and the first cottages for young families appeared on the lifeless wasteland and a line formed for kindergartens. It was then that the administration of the Krasnoyarsk region decided to buy out several houses and combine them into a “children’s village”. nine0003

“Costs were no more than necessary for the construction of an ordinary kindergarten. But the result exceeded expectations. The “children’s village” has the highest attendance, children get sick less, and there are even those who want to go to this kindergarten in a remote district center,” Marina Aristova, director of the kindergarten, told TASS.

“Children’s Village” – a branch of kindergarten No. 1 “Fairy Tale” – these are ten one-story cottages with garden plots. Each house has several rooms, individual heating and a separate exit to the gazebo to the street, which is convenient in rainy weather or in winter. One of the cottages is an economic building, it houses a catering unit and a medical office. nine0003

The search for teachers for the “Children’s Village” was approached with special attention. Preference was given to young specialists, while many were trained and improved their qualifications. Therefore, teachers here approach everything outside the box and creatively. Even ordinary drawing classes are interactive: with the participation of fairy tale characters. The teachers themselves come up with the images, the costumes are also made with their own hands. As a result, there is always a lively hubbub in the house, and each child performs his task with pleasure. nine0003

Family atmosphere and a farmer’s corner

in principle, traditional, as in ordinary kindergartens – drawing, modeling, reading books, music. We definitely go out for a walk with the children. During walks, turn on music and songs from cartoons – this creates a good mood for children. They never quarrel with us , but always play together,” said senior teacher Zhanna Azhkhanova. nine0003

The mother of one of the pupils of the “children’s village” Saida Urazova stressed that the unusual kindergarten “is valued precisely for its family, home environment, for small groups of children who do not exceed 15 people.” And also for the fact that kids here are taught to be hardworking and rural life: they are introduced to pets, they are taught to take care of plants and plant vegetables – for this, the kindergarten has a “farmer’s corner” and even its own vegetable garden.

“What other kindergarten can boast of having a garden? Look: there are tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers. Together with older children, we plant vegetables, they like it. And with the smallest children, we learn the names of plants, the kids love to touch the leaves, look at the flowers with interest”, Azhkhanova added.

Now the “children’s village” is visited by 135 pupils. While there are no plans to expand the unusual kindergarten, although the district itself will continue to grow, there is even a scheme for its development. For example, next to the “children’s village” a well-maintained park should appear. nine0003

Kazan. Yoga, squash and freedom of choice

Kindergarten “Hi-Gora” opened in June of this year, a thirty-minute drive from Kazan in the village “Railway station High Mountain”. The atmosphere is relaxed: children here are trained according to the Montessori system, do yoga and play squash.

Thanks to an unusual teaching method and an individual approach, already at the age of three or four, they add up four-digit numbers in their minds, know the flags and capitals of the countries of the world, clean up toys and dishes, and, most importantly, learn to be independent. nine0003

Now there are two groups in the kindergarten – nursery, where children from 1. 5 to 3 years old go, and the older one – for children from 3 to 6 years old. Nine teachers work with them. In total, the kindergarten is designed for 45 children, the staff is planned to be increased to 20 teachers.

To make a child independent

Every morning for kids in the eco-kindergarten begins with a half-hour yoga class. For them there is a special room with all the necessary accessories. After yoga, the children have breakfast and go to a Montessori session. The educational process takes place in three languages - Russian, Tatar and English. nine0003

Special Montessori teachers – one with 7 years of teaching experience in Russia, and the other five years working in Sweden in a French Montessori kindergarten.

“The goal of the Montessori system is to make the child independent, adapted to life. And the children learn to always clean up after themselves, respect the children around,” curator and co-founder of the kindergarten Dilyara Zalyalieva told TASS.

The Montessori class is divided into several study areas – mathematics, sensory, Russian language, English, the space area, where they study chemistry, astronomy, geography, and the library area. There is a self-service corner where children learn to wash clothes, iron, and use a special simulator to braid pigtails, tie shoelaces, fasten zippers, unscrew nuts. Education in kindergarten is structured in such a way that children do not share toys, but learn to wait for another child to work with the right material. nine0003

“The fundamental material in the Montessori math zone is the “golden bank” – a system of golden beads combined into tens, hundreds and thousands. The child feels these numbers by touch and thus gets acquainted with the decimal system and can perform arithmetic operations with four-digit numbers. In this way, the addition of four-digit numbers is very simple – they can even learn to count within a million, “explained Dilyara Zalyalieva.

© Dilyara Zalyalieva

While we were talking, the Montessori session began: the children sat in a circle with the teacher, greeted each other and went off according to individual programs: some went to the math zone, some to the botany zone. In a few minutes, five-year-old Sabina folded a developing binomial cube – the formula for the square of the sum of two numbers, and in form – a wooden box in which eight prisms and cubes are composed in two layers.

The cafe in the kindergarten operates on a self-service system and a buffet: children put their own porridge, if they wish, they can cook pancakes or smoothies, of course, under the supervision of teachers. Dilyara emphasizes that parents should support this system at home as well, so that the child’s skills are consolidated. nine0003

Mini-farm with a goat and a rabbit

“When I came to see the premises for the first time, I realized that there should be an eco-direction here. You can hear it yourself: the birds sing here, the air is intoxicating, the children now won’t leave here they want,” says Dilyara.

The kindergarten is located near the forest, there are more than 100 types of trees, and each is signed in three languages - this is the so-called multilingual approach, Dilara explains. And flowers and vegetables grow in the garden – they were planted and raised by the children themselves. nine0003

“We have a green garden where the children grow squash, parsley, carrots, radishes, pumpkins themselves. First they cultivated the land, then they planted everything themselves and ate the harvest in the summer. gardens, what kind of work it took to grow everything, they understand the value,” Venera Khimatova, head of the kindergarten, told TASS.

© Dilara Zalyalieva

Children here also learn to sort garbage, study plants and animals.

“We will soon have a mini-farm, we will place goats, chickens and rabbits there. We want children to understand how to care for animals, develop compassion, mercy, care in them,” says Dilyara. nine0003

There is a swimming pool, sports court for basketball, volleyball and tennis in the garden. Twice a week, trainers do physical exercises with children. A little further on is a squash and paddle court, where the older group is engaged.

And in the future there will be a school next to the kindergarten. The premises are already there, the main thing is to select personnel.

“Now we are working on the concept. There will be classes according to the Montessori system and classes according to another innovative system,” Dilyara Zalyalieva explained. nine0003

House of kindness, warmth and joy. Why do Zozulyan children always rush to kindergarten

March 9, 2020, 10:49 Society

Pupils of this institution have repeatedly become winners of various competitions.

Children are our happiness. And their happiness is built on love, warmth and care that we surround them with. When bringing a child to kindergarten, parents want him to feel good and comfortable here. Moreover, he stays in the garden longer than with his parents and other relatives. Therefore, educators are doing everything to make a preschool educational institution a real second home for kids. So that they come here with joy, and leave with a desire to return. About how to build such relationships in kindergarten, on what principles to raise children and interact with parents, our conversation with the head of the Zozulyansky kindergarten Valentina Ponomarenko.

Special comfort

Our acquaintance with the institution began from the yard. Everything here testifies to attention to children and the desire to bring them joy. Of course, there is no modern decoration and equipment for playgrounds, but well-groomed bright gazebos, animal figurines made by kindergarten workers with the support of parents, a painted fence, cleanliness and order immediately create a special comfort. Valentina Ponomarenko has been running this institution since October 6, 1982.

“After graduating from the Belgorod Pedagogical College, I worked for three years in the Belyansky kindergarten,” she said. – When it was decided to open a kindergarten in Zozuly, they placed it in an adapted room. The chairman of the collective farm named after Kirov Victor Nasedkin offered me to head this institution. Of course, I doubted, but he convinced me.”

The manager told how difficult it was at first. There was no provision for the collective farm garden: neither children’s furniture nor other equipment, and the bed linen for the children was altered from sets for adults. nine0003

“We bought the first furniture from the sugar factory,” the manager recalled. – Now, of course, compared to that time, beauty. But the number of children practically does not change: they started with 30 kids, now – 27. There is one group – of different ages. We are implementing the presidential program, so we accept all children, starting from toddlers.”

Over the years, several generations of boys and girls have been released here. Many have created families, live in their native village and send their children to the local kindergarten, and some even have grandchildren. nine0003

“There were many guests at the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the garden, everyone was happy to meet like one big family,” continued Valentina Ponomarenko. – We looked at the stand with photographs of different years with interest, thanked for the saved memories of a cheerful childhood. I have been working in the field of early childhood education for over 40 years. Since 1993, this garden was transferred to the department of the district department of public education, then to the department of education.

Today there are six people in the team: a manager, two educators, a cook, a junior educator and a boiler room operator. From 19 Lyudmila Ostras brings up little Zozulyans for 84 years. This is an experienced teacher, her experience is 36 years . She prepares open events, master classes, shares her experience with teachers. Irina Sagittarius has been working since 2017. She has little experience in education, but she tries to apply everything new in her work, learns from her experienced colleague. The cook of kindergarten Tamara Vinichenko has been preparing delicious lunches and breakfasts for children for over 30 years. A year ago, a junior teacher came Svetlana Dmitrova She is active and loves children. Vasily Ponomarenko heats the kindergarten in winter, keeps the territory clean, mows weeds, repairs the building in the spring.

Among the best

In terms of all areas of activity, the Zozulyansky kindergarten is one of the best in the region. The manager said that according to annual reports, their attendance is high, and the incidence is low: below the territorial and on average for the region. There is always a demand for places in this garden. nine0003

The team of the preschool institution participates in all competitions. For example, in the regional competition of children’s creativity “Mosaic of Childhood” annually wins prizes. There were his pupils and his winners in various categories. Last year, on the basis of the Gruzchanskaya secondary school, as part of the project “Forming a Culture of Responsible and Safe Behavior of Borisovsky District Students on the Internet”, a team of children from Zozulya won first place in the “Walk through the Internet Forest” relay race. nine0003

“Physical development and health-saving technologies are the basis for harmonious development in all other areas,” the head of the institution emphasized. – Our children are actively engaged in physical culture, participate in sporting events. On the street, we have equipped a health path, we carry out hardening, there is equipment for indoor and outdoor activities. In summer, a big sports festival is traditionally held. Out of 39,015 preschool organizations in Russia, we occupy 759th place. We are lagging behind due to the lack of conditions for the disabled, but this does not depend on us. I took distance courses on first aid for children and adults, because it is now necessary in my work.” nine0003

Zozulyany Kindergarten is a participant in all district projects on preschool education. The projects “Organization of healthy nutrition among the population of the Borisovsky district with products produced by local producers”, “Formation of a child-friendly play space in preschool educational institutions of the Borisovsky district” provide assistance to parents with many children, single mothers, families with a disabled child, a child with disabilities. Various events, master classes are planned, including conversations with parents about the correct mode of work and rest, rational nutrition, giving up bad habits, and creating equal conditions for all children. nine0003

“We are talking to parents so that they buy local products,” she continued. – To feed the guys, we buy everything that is produced on the territory of our region. I recently completed training for the Lean Kindergarten project. In a friendly kindergarten, we have already had conversations with parents about a respectful attitude towards each other, starting with the family, about the fact that children learn everything from adults and how to behave in order to be an example for them. Every year we hold graduation parties in the garden: the younger children and teachers escort the older ones to school. The teachers of our kindergarten solve the problems of labor education: they plant various vegetables so that the children can see how they grow, how they should be looked after. I believe that if children have grown a crop, they must definitely taste the fruits of their labor. We all want to see the results of our efforts, this is the meaning of any activity. An orchard was planted three years ago. Many thanks to the deputy of the Belgorod Regional Duma, the director of the sanatorium “Krasivo” Galina Cherkashina . She gave us seedlings of apple, apricot, cherry, pear. We already got the first fruits last summer.”

Helping kindergarten Ivan Dolgodush , Vasily Markov and Irina Zubik . The staff of the preschool institution is very friendly with the employees of the local administration. They support each other in everything, take part in subbotniks together: trees are whitewashed in spring, during the whole warm season they clean and improve the territory in the village.

Plans and dreams

The staff of the Zozulyansky kindergarten has many plans for further improvement and renovation of the institution.

“We are trying to create conditions in which every child will be able to fully reveal himself,” said the head teacher. – In our kindergarten, children get a wide experience of emotional and practical interaction with adults and peers in significant areas of life.
