Education of preschool children – educational process

Education of preschool children and the entire educational process within the framework of preschool institutions is considered in detail by N.V. Abramovskikh, E.N. Stepanova, L.V. Pozdnyak and other scientists. They perceive the education of preschool children and education in kindergarten as an integral system of education, which contains the formation of the personality of children, their development, educational and educational processes. This also includes various teaching methods, forms and conditions.

For pedagogy, an essential step is that the process of education and training of preschool children is recognized as a system consisting of many elements.

Education of preschool children in preschool

There are the following principles for organizing the educational process in kindergartens:

  1. Education of preschool children requires taking into account the characteristics of each child, related to his age and individual personal development. The interests of the children must also be taken into account.
  2. Educational and upbringing tasks must be solved jointly with each other.
  3. It should be borne in mind that the leading activity for children of this age is the game. It is also necessary to alternate the activities of children.
  4. The teacher is obliged to build his interaction with each child in such a way that it reflects his respect for him.
  5. It is necessary to create conditions that positively influence the process of formation of various abilities in children.
  6. It is necessary to provide preschool teachers with all the conditions for the formation of their competence and skill level.
  7. It is necessary to encourage all participants in the educational process to implement the principles of the declaration of children’s rights.

I.P. Podlaskaya believes that it is necessary to clearly distinguish the individual elements of the system. This will allow you to analyze the existing links in it and follow the relationship between them. And this will improve the practice of the educational process.

This means that in order to manage the process of education, it is necessary to have a systematic approach.

To do this, it is necessary to deeply theoretically analyze the process of education in kindergarten and the education of preschool children, as a structure in which there are certain patterns.

During the educational process, the teacher purposefully teaches children, develops their personal qualities, educates them, helps children learn self-education.

An organized pedagogical and educational process in a kindergarten is a system of relations between a teacher and a child, which sets itself the goal of teaching preschool children, educating each child as a fully developed personality and teaching him the necessary social skills.

As a result, the child develops diversified. He improves physically, his aesthetic and artistic perception, cognitive activity improves. He has a social and personal position.

The value of the educational process

The value of the educational process is to create conditions that are most suitable for the timely launch of the personality formation program. As a process of teaching preschool children should be aimed at achieving specific goals and objectives. It should be gradual and go through different stages. You also need to help the child gain experience in different activities.

The process of education in kindergarten has the same principles as the educational process in general. It has the same structure. Also, the logic of its construction is no different. However, there are some specific features that are characteristic of teaching children in kindergarten. These features are associated with the age of children, the pattern of their development in the preschool period.

Moreover, in each institution, the education of preschool children is somewhat unique. Even within the same group in the same institution, each child has its own approach. Several parties are involved in the design of the educational process in any institution. The state is playing its role. A lot depends on the parents of the children, the preschoolers themselves. But the key role, of course, lies with the educator.

Basic models of the educational process

To determine which model of the educational process will be the most optimal in a child care institution, it is necessary to study the main models that exist today in kindergartens and are successfully practiced:

1. Training.

Today this model is one of the most common in children’s educational institutions. The principle of this model is to separate different teaching methods and build each separate method on its own logic.

An adult plays the role of a teacher in this model. He takes full initiative in what and how the children will do. He directs their activities almost all the time they are in the kindergarten.

To implement this model, preschool education and the educational environment are hard-coded in advance using various methods. The very process of education is based on discipline. It looks a lot like school uniforms.

The subject environment in the group is organized in such a way as to support ongoing classes. Therefore, each subject plays the role of a teaching aid. The educational model is attractive in that it is highly technological, the teacher can easily understand and apply it.

Also, teachers have a lot of notes issued by methodologists and practitioners. Therefore, he can easily find material for classes.

2. Complex thematic

This model is somewhat different from the previous one. It is based on the fact that the basis of the content is the theme. This topic is presented to children in an emotional form and communicated in the form of knowledge. Moreover, children do not just receive ready-made knowledge, they, as it were, receive it during their own activity, experience it.

The teacher no longer plays the role of a teacher, but a partner for children, which makes him psychologically closer to them.

The teacher operating within the framework of this model is freer in his approaches. He can be creative.

The educator himself determines which topics should be introduced into the lessons. He also organizes the systematic educational process. The education of preschool children is structured in such a way as not only to develop the personality of the child, but to expand his understanding of the world around him.

This model is especially popular with children’s speech therapists. Since selecting topics and creatively implementing them during classes, you need to have a great pedagogical and creative potential.

3. Subject environment.

The educational process is based on the principles of projection on the subject environment. The teacher organizes the subject environment in the group. He selects educational materials, encourages children to try to interact with them.

Well reveals the essence of this model – the Montessori model.

This approach relies on the preschooler’s self-development, limiting his education to the subject environment. Therefore, there is no systematic system in the educational process. The horizons of the child are sharply narrowed. At the same time, the teacher does not need to creatively organize the process of education.

The model is based on technological solutions.

What is the education of preschool children based on in kindergarten?

Let’s distinguish two groups:

  • forms of work with preschoolers, adequate to their age abilities. Focus on the development of all types of child activities, especially on the game, since it is she who is the leading activity at this age.
  • Preschool children are taught in such a way that they interact with adults. They play together, read together, socialize, exercise, play music, do research, learn something new.

Educational program

The education of preschool children within the kindergarten is based on the educational program adopted in the institution. It is developed independently, but is based on the requirements set forth in the state standard.

Preschool adheres to the policy dictated by the state, diligently implementing the legislation in the field of education.

The program adopted within the framework of an educational institution directs the content of the process, its organization in a certain direction. Children must develop culturally, must improve their own physical culture, develop intellectually, and grow in personal qualities.

It is also necessary to create prerequisites for educational activities, it is necessary to provide children with social growth, help them maintain their health, both physical and mental.

The educational program also provides for what intermediate and final results of children’s activities are planned within the framework of the preschool educational institution, how the achievements of preschoolers of these results are monitored, how often this monitoring should be carried out and how.

The kindergarten implements an educational program both during general developmental classes and during compensatory classes.

The educational process is managed in dialectical unity with the style of relations between subjects. At the same time, it is believed that the style is the most dynamic in this regard, because it is determined by each participant in the process individually.

Thus, the educational process is a system of relations between a teacher and a child, which sets itself the goal of educating a fully developed personality in him and teaching him the necessary social skills.

As a result, the child develops diversified. He improves physically, his aesthetic and artistic perception, cognitive activity improves. He has a social and personal position.

Pre-school education is the first structured education that a child encounters when entering adulthood. It covers the period from birth to the age of six years, when the child goes to school.

Importance of early learning

This period is very important and responsible, during this short time the child actively masters all areas: educational, sensitive, intellectual, interaction, mental.

Such rapid and fundamental changes help the child to master all new areas of life. Thanks to this breakthrough, the child is actively involved in the educational process.

Drawing class in kindergarten

Today, the niche of educational institutions of preschool education is actively developing, only state kindergartens are not able to provide all the interests of children and parents.

Today, creative schools, studios, clubs offer various areas of work with children, including dance, gymnastics, rhythm, theatrical art, foreign languages, preparation for school. Approaches to teaching the child are also developing.

It is very important to develop the child’s speech, sense organs, motor skills, and horizons.

Home schooling with parents

An important stage in the organization of preschool education is activity planning. The educational process should be built in such a way as not to overload the child and leave a keen interest.

Modern pedagogy reinforces the assertion that the learning process for a small child should be exciting and dynamic, only with the child’s keen interest can significant results be achieved.

Children have extremely unstable attention, because of this, the process of their education is very laborious, requires special skills and great efforts. There are few methodological materials on the development of preschool children, this is due to an individual approach to learning in a children’s team.

Another point of view is the frequent change of the leading concept of teaching. Views on the education of preschoolers have changed very rapidly, in fact, each era has made adjustments to the curriculum of kindergartens.

Lesson classes for preschoolers

It is impossible to apply the class-lesson system of education to preschool children.

Attention at this age is not yet stable, children are not able to spend hours on end to engage in a single subject. Although for teaching schoolchildren such a system justifies itself.

From the very beginning of the development of preschool didactics, the principles of educating young children did not differ from ideas about teaching older children. But it is logical that a small child cannot learn according to the pattern of high school students.

In kindergarten, the process of education and upbringing run parallel to each other.

There are certain principles that must be followed in teaching children.

Scientific Principle

During the teaching of a young child, real knowledge must be provided.

It is impossible to simplify the material to a schematic, distort it. The child remembers all the information at the age of 2 to 7 years. With an incorrectly formed base, the child’s representations will be greatly distorted.

The principle of science in the study of nature

In the process of teaching a child, concrete ideas, knowledge about the world around him should be formed. All acquired knowledge should not conflict with the school curriculum.

Didactics deals with this problem in teaching children of primary preschool age. She tries to prepare educational material in such a way that it is understandable to young children, but has the right scientific basis.

Deep study of the curriculum for children of preschool age helps to create a powerful base on which it will be easier to string all school material.

Features of the scientific approach in the process of education – the formation in children of a single picture of the world and a correct understanding of the laws of nature.

It is very difficult to indicate the age of the child when the basic concepts of the universe are formed. Many representatives of preschool education are inclined to believe that these basics should be an integral part of the upbringing process.

From an early age, children need to form correct ideas about the world around them, based on modern scientific knowledge.

Visibility principle

All parents have knowledge of this principle, its expediency for applying to young children has existed since the development of pedagogy.

To learn something new, a child needs to see a picture, perhaps to feel the unknown tactilely. So the knowledge of a child of preschool age is quickly and naturally built into his picture of perception.

Such features are confirmed by the fact that children try to present any narrative story as a figurative series.

On the basis of the simplest actions, the ability to work with objects, it is easier for preschool children to form more complex mental operations – analysis, reasoning, comparison, counting.

Through visual images, the formation of mental activity occurs for the child.

To learn how to count mentally, you need to practice counting on real objects many times.

The study of the learning process of children proves that the child receives basic information through visual and auditory perception. These sense organs are given the main attention when working with preschool children.

The principle of visibility – the child perceives information better

In the case of perception of visual information, all information promptly enters the brain. While auditory perception is somewhat stretched over time.

The principle of visualization for children in kindergarten is the enrichment and expansion of the child’s sensory experience and his knowledge of the world.

Toddlers perceive natural objects: dummies of fruits and vegetables, models of buildings, diagrams, panels of plants, stuffed animals. Features of young children of preschool age – the ability to perceive diagrams, drawings, illustrations, on this the ability to build many principles of education and upbringing.

The principle of visualization is used when consolidating connections between new and old knowledge, when studying new material.

The following requirements are provided for visual materials:

  • realism, all objects should be as close as possible to real objects, have a similarity;
  • worthy decoration, educators and parents should purchase or make models of the highest quality.

Accessibility principle

All educational material must be understandable to the child, appropriate to his age and development.

Features of teaching a young child – mastering simple and understandable material.

If knowledge is too complex and ornate, then the percentage of their assimilation by children is sharply reduced.

The main difficulty in implementing this principle is to determine the child’s readiness to acquire knowledge. This is not always determined by age, all children are individual. Before starting the process of education, the teacher must diagnose the level of knowledge of the child.

Tasks must be accessible to the child

Even 15 years ago there was an unspoken ban on teaching children to write and read and write until the child was five years old. Today there are many institutions of pre-school education that take children and younger children to prepare for school.

The ideas of modern parents and teachers have changed, the pace and intensity of the load en first grader does not leave a chance for delay.

We will find out the results of such a race for knowledge in a few years, when we analyze the level of knowledge, mental development and health of today’s first-graders.

Teaching foreign languages can be started from the age of 3

Do not confuse accessibility with ease, too simple tasks will not cause effort and mental stress, there will be no basis for subsequent knowledge.

It is important to create a situation of success in which the solution of a difficult but feasible task will bring joy and satisfaction.

The principle of active participation in the learning process

Peculiarities of the principle – only those knowledge are assimilated that aroused the interest and active participation of the child in their assimilation. If the child does not care about what is happening, then the information received from the outside will pass by, not be perceived by the brain.

The child must participate in learning

While working with children, the educator should provide for techniques that activate interest in knowledge, thinking.

The negative effect is the fact that the child receives information chewed in detail, for the assimilation of which his strength and time are not expended. It may seem simple and straightforward, but the lack of personal involvement makes it distant and uninteresting.

In the process of education, it is necessary to maintain a balance.

Cognition should be the solution of practical problems, activity, independence. At the heart of such ideas lies the orienting-research reflex.

Sequential learning principle

This principle of education encourages to go in learning from the easy to the difficult, from the simple to the complex.

All knowledge of the child must be based on previous experience. The volume of new knowledge is determined by the teacher who works with the child. Time, the effectiveness of assimilation, the age of the child in the process of cognition should be guidelines.

Sequence principle using the example of

Theory and practice must be inseparable from each other. All knowledge must be backed up in practice. It is very interesting and difficult at the same time, it is not always possible to fully implement the knowledge that a young child has received.

The principle of an individual approach to each child and taking into account age characteristics

Children at preschool age differ greatly in the speed of perception, speed of thinking, perseverance, diligence, behavior.

All these signs are formed due to physiological, mental abilities, methods of education, living conditions, preparedness of the teacher and parents.

You can identify the main features of the baby by constantly observing the child, noting his behavior in various situations.

For older children, collective conversations can be organized that will help to identify the characteristics of the child, the degree of assimilation of knowledge, character. Even at a young age, one can identify leadership qualities, curiosity, and the ability to come to the rescue.

Such a diagnosis is very important, at an early age, negative character traits and mental characteristics are easier to correct. Checking the entire children’s team can reveal children who quickly grasp the educational material on which they can rely in the learning process.

Age-appropriate classes

It is very important in the process of education to take into account the physiological and anatomical characteristics of the child. The teacher should be familiar with the health status of each child. At the same time, tactfully and gently adjust the learning process for maximum efficiency.

If a child has problems, for example, with hearing or vision, then he must be put on the first desks, for better perception.

Learning to read according to Zaitsev

If a child has limitations in physical activity, then it is necessary to inform the physical education teacher. If the child is very impulsive or even aggressive, then in the process of education it is necessary to develop will and tolerance.

If a child has only recently joined a children’s group, then the child’s speech speed and vocabulary are limited. Therefore, when the baby answers, it is necessary to show patience not only to the teacher, but also to teach this to all children.

There are children who are not accustomed to mental work. They prefer to spend time in games and active entertainment.

When working with such babies, it is necessary to include intellectual tasks in physical activity. Mono show the benefits of active mental activity in games and competitions.

The principle of the relationship between learning and development

These two processes are interrelated and continuous, but at the same time they require patience. Yesterday the kid could not do anything, but today he is mastering different skills.

All this is logical and natural. If at any stage in learning there are difficulties, you just need to be patient and move forward.

Relationship between learning and development in preschoolers

It is very important to awaken in the child the craving for independent knowledge, then the child himself will strive to learn new and interesting things.

Be sure to praise the child, create a situation of success – this is the surest stimulus.

Love children, then you will certainly succeed.
