After school programs for pre k: ACS – Non-ACS Child Care Options
Pre-K & After School | Early Childhood Enrichment Education Experts FasTracKids
FasTracKids® – Is your child prepared to succeed in our ever-changing world? FasTracKids teaches preschool and early elementary school-aged children 3 – 8 years old to use creativity, communication, confidence, critical thinking and collaboration skills through fun, interactive activities. Using the FasTrack Learning Station®, children explore 12 subjects ranging from traditional topics such as biology, astronomy, and art as well as subjects not usually covered in early learning like economics, technology, and goals & life lessons. A 96 week program held once a week for two hours gives your child the necessary skills to succeed in school and in life. A modular curriculum allows for enrollment of a student at any time. Learn More FasTrack® Music (4 – 6 years old) – Beethoven and Bach didn’t get these lessons as children! The advanced program for 4 – 6 year olds is based on the same concepts as the 2 – 4 year old program, but the curriculum is focused on preparing children for formal music lessons while still having a fun, positive experience. Children are introduced to composers, songs and musical styles such as classical and jazz while learning notation, new instruments and music vocabulary. Children are also introduced to the keyboard and learn basic keyboarding techniques. The advanced program can act as a precursor for formal music lessons if the child is interested. These lessons provide a solid foundation for music education and a lifelong appreciation of music and movement. Learn More FasTrack® Discoverers – Children are naturally curious, so why not let them discover something new? Similar to FasTrack® Explorers, FasTrack Discoverers is a multi-day program that utilizes other FasTracKids programs in a subject-based curriculum. Using the FasTracKids®signature program along with developmentally appropriate activities, children 3 – 5 years old can improve their communication and language skills. Children are also introduced to activities that improve literacy, phonics, math and music knowledge while having fun. This program runs three hours a day, up to 5 days a week for 44 weeks. Learn More FasTrack® Camps – Having trouble finding a camp that is constructive, engaging and fun? FasTracKids® has a day camp that fills all of those needs. For three hours a day, camps can be offered as a one week or one day program to provide the flexibility in length and curriculum. This is a fun, simple option for children that are on holiday break or out of school for a substantial amount of time. Schedule and age groups vary according to the center. Learn More FasTrack® English – Can we talk? FasTracKids newest addition is an early education program that teaches English as a Second or Foreign Language (ESL or EFL) to children beginning at the age of 3. By combining a communicative language approach (vocabulary and conversation exercises) and an interactive approach (opportunities in lessons for both speaking and listening), kids can start to build a basic understanding of English. A revolutionary and unique teaching method titled PIER℠ (Positive Innovative English Reinforcement) allows children to learn in a stress-free environment. FasTrack English prepares children for standard English exams through games, songs and activities. Learn More

How to Maximize Your Child’s Education with Extracurricular Activities
Fostering Interest in and Out of the Classroom
We know that children learn best when they are having fun. That is why learning through play is an integral part of the 21st century school environment.
Because children naturally gravitate toward enjoyable activities, schools and parents should maximize student opportunities for learning through play. One of the best ways to do this is through extracurricular activities .
After-school activities (PSA) takes the child to a new level fostering a love of learning and a thirst for knowledge outside the classroom. In this way, ASAs give parents the opportunity to introduce their child to activities that support and enhance schooling.
Experts urge parents to understand the value of ASA, which has been shown to positively impact student achievement, social interaction, and emotional development. A US government study found that ASAs “improve academic achievement, reduce risky behavior, improve physical health, and provide a safe, structured environment for the children of working parents.”
Forward-thinking schools choose to make extracurricular activities a centerpiece of their educational offerings. American International School – Vienna offers 25-30 extracurricular activities per semester. With over 25 years of ASA experience, AIS is a leader in innovative programs. AIS activities reach an average of 500 students from preschool to grade 8 per year, offering a wide range of activities designed to engage and benefit the all round child. Classes range from arts and sciences (drawing, animation, ballet, engineering, coding, foreign languages) to sports and music (basketball, taekwondo, tennis, swimming, guitar, string instruments).
“The AIS ASA program provides students with the opportunity to participate in managed, engaging activities that complement and enhance the curriculum they learn on a daily basis. Students can connect with friends and students from different grades by participating in a wide range of activities. The program also offers parents the possibility of post-school education of their child. this is Justin Carnahan, ASA coordinator at AIS.
ASA’s rich and varied program not only benefits students, but the school as a whole. Because by enriching their learning after school, students bring that positive energy and passion for learning into the classroom.
It’s important for parents to note that ASAs are different from clubs and sports. ASAs are specifically designed for younger learners (ages 4-14) as a compliment to in-school education and as a stepping-stone to middle- and high-school activities. Students who begin early participation in ASAs more often grow into mature students that choose to join high school extracurricular activities. Of note to many parents: it is well documented that extracurriculars differentiate and elevate a student applying for entrance to higher education.
So how can parents best take advantage of the ASA activities that their school offers?
“The best thing to do is to take a closer look at the school’s website or directory and talk to other parents of students who have attended classes in the past. ” says Carnahan.
After the parents have narrowed down the best options, the most important thing to remember is the child’s passion. Children thrive in situations that allow them to freely explore areas of interest to them. The best ASAs give children the opportunity to reach their own potential.
The UK education system is considered a quality standard, so the educational systems of other countries are often compared with the British. It was formed many centuries ago and during this time has not undergone major changes. Distinctive features of British schools:
The British system is quite flexible. Among the many different training courses, you can always find the one that suits you. Regardless of age, nationality and religion, anyone who successfully passes the entrance examinations can study at educational institutions in the UK. Secondary educationThe modern system of education in the UK consists of four levels: primary (Elementary School), secondary (Secondary School), vocational or post-school (Further Education) and higher (Higher Education). Preschool education takes place in kindergartens and preschool classes. Primary education is received by children from 5 to 11-12 years old. From the age of 5, children attend two-year schools for toddlers (pre-preparatory school), from 7 to 11 years old – primary schools (primary or elementary school). From the age of 11-12, the stage of secondary education begins for children. All UK schools (both public and private) adhere to the same educational minimum. School graduates take final exams and receive a certificate of secondary education GCSE (General Certificate of Secondary Education). This certificate is sufficient to start self-employment, but does not give the right to enter higher education institutions. For citizens of other countries who plan to work in the UK or enter higher education institutions, an analogue of this exam, the International Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE), has been developed, which is by far the most popular international qualification. IGCSE exams, unlike traditional final British exams, involve testing the knowledge and practical skills of students at two levels, depending on what grade (A-F) the graduate plans to receive – basic (Foundation Tier – C-F grades) and advanced (Higher Tier – grades A-F). Graduates are invited to take exams by choosing 5 of more than 50 subjects, each of which is included in one of 5 educational areas: mathematics, languages, science, humanities, business and creativity. Vocational Education The definition of ‘Further Education’ in the UK refers to vocational education that does not lead to a degree or its equivalent and involves post-secondary studies at Tertiary Colleges offering Vocational education. Educational programs of professional colleges are constantly changing following the changing demand for certain professions. Frequent professional qualifications – NVQ (NationalVocationalQualification), GNVQ (GeneralNationalVocationalQualification), HND (HigherNationalDiploma) and others confirm the student’s ability to practice. The HND diploma also allows you to enroll in one of the programs leading to a bachelor’s degree and complete your degree in just two years. Higher education The definition of “higher education” (Higher Education) in the UK refers to programs whose purpose is to obtain a Degree: Bachelor Degree, Master Degree or Doctoral (Doctoral or PhD Degree). In England and Wales, a bachelor’s degree requires three years of study; in Scotland, four. In the case when obtaining a degree requires not only the passage of a theoretical course, but also industrial practice (Sandwich courses), the total period of study is extended. There are four main bachelor’s degrees awarded in the UK – Bachelor of Arts BA (Bachelor of Arts), Bachelor of Science BSC (Bachelor of Science), Bachelor of Engineering BENG (Bachelor of Engineering), Bachelor of Law LLB (Bachelor of Law). <- Предыдущий пост: Jawonio in new city ny: The Premiere Provider of Lifespan Services Следующий пост: Daycares in denver: Denver KinderCare | Daycare, Preschool & Early Education in Denver, CO -> |
