AMERICA’S MOST ACCREDITED

We’re so proud!

Nationally only 10% of daycares are accredited – nearly 100% of our learning centers are. That’s a big difference,
and that means KinderCare kids are getting the very best. Here’s why.

SCHOOL-READY

What Learning Looks Like

Our talented early-childhood teachers set kids down the path toward becoming lifelong learners in a positive, safe, and nurturing environment.

South Willis KinderCare Programs

Infant Programs (6 weeks–1 year)

Leaving your baby in someone else’s care is a big step. Everyone at our
centers—most importantly, our naturally gifted infant teachers—will work with
you to make sure the transition goes smoothly. When you step into our infant
classroom, you’ll see how much we want your infant to feel safe, loved, and
ready to explore their world.

Toddler Programs (1–2 Years)

Everything in our toddler classroom is designed for little explorers. That’s
because a lot is going on at this age. When your child is wandering all over the
place, that means they’re learning and discovering new things every day. We’ll
help them explore their interests (and find new ones!) as they play and learn.

Discovery Preschool Programs (2–3 Years)

This age is filled with so much wonder and curiosity. That’s why we offer a ton
of books and toys and bring artwork down to kids eye level. Children in
discovery preschool also begin to learn how we all work together in a
classroom. Simple math and science, pretend play, and group play help them
get used to a more structured school setting.

Preschool Programs (3–4 Years)

This age is all about expression, when kids really start to form their own ideas
about what they want to play and how they want to create. Every day in our
preschool classroom, your child will explore science experiments, create
artwork, and play pretend—all the skills needed for their big next step:
kindergarten!

Prekindergarten Programs (4–5 Years)

When you walk into one of our pre-K classrooms, you’ll see artwork and
writing displayed around the room. Labels are everywhere to help kids connect
letters with words. You’ll also see pictures on the walls that reflect the families
in our community. Your child will also deepen their knowledge in language,
math, science, Spanish, and social skills.

School Break Programs (preschool, prekindergarten, and school-age)

Winter break, spring break, summer break—when school’s out (but you still need to work), you
can count on KinderCare to provide a safe and supportive learning environment that’s focused
on fun. We welcome children ages 5–12 during school break times and make sure they have a
sensational, screen-free experience they won’t forget.

Participating Child Care Aware Center

KinderCare partners with Child Care Aware® of America to offer fee assistance for
Active Duty military families and flexible support to fit their needs when care at a Child
Development Center on the installation is not available.

Learning Adventures – Enrichment Program

Cooking Academy™ (3 – 12 Years)

In Cooking Academy, kids learn new recipes from cultures around the world and
develop a healthy relationship with food. They’ll whip up everything from Southwest
rainbow lettuce wraps to pumpkin muffins, building their skills in STEM, communication,
and more along the way. And yes—little chefs get to eat their culinary creations!

Our Teachers

We’re the only company in early childhood education to select teachers based on natural talent. Being a great educator isn’t enough though.
KinderCare teachers are also amazing listeners, nurturers, boo-boo fixers, and smile-makers. Put more simply,
we love our teachers and your child will, too.

Meet just a few of our amazing KinderCare teachers!

A KINDERCARE TEACHER WITH

An Artist’s Heart

“My classroom is full of art!” says Mary Annthipie-Bane, an award-winning early childhood educator at KinderCare. Art and creative expression, she says, help children discover who they really are.

We put our best-in-class teachers in a best-in-class workplace. We’re so proud to have been named one of Gallup’s 37 winners of the Great Workplace Award.
When you put great teachers in an engaging center, your children will experience
an amazing place to learn and grow.

Family Stories

Don’t take our word for it. Hear what our families have to say about our amazing center!

  • I would just like to say my son Landon and I have been happy with KinderCare since he started here in February, 2016. He had attended Pioneer Drive Baptist Daycare from the time he was 1.5 years until February, 2016. Over the last several months, many issues evolved which inevitably led to my search for a daycare that would offer excellent care for my son. When I met Shirley, I loved her instantly! On Landon’s first days, she made it so easy for him and showed she genuinely cared. Every day since that day, she has shown the exact same interest when dropping off and picking up. I am extremely pleased with all the staff. It feels more like a family than a business. I would love to see the staff at KinderCare 2309 South Wills St. Abilene, Texas 79605 receive recognition for their hard work, day in and day out. We love our KinderCare!

Attractions of the city of Abilene (USA state of Texas)

Abilene (eng. Abilene) is a city in the United States, located in the central part of the state of Texas on Elm Creek (a tributary of the Brazos River). The county seat of Taylor. Population 115.3 thousand inhabitants (2004), with suburbs – 130.0 thousand (2004). The area of the city is 286.5 km².

The territory of present-day Abilene first began to be settled by white settlers in the mid-19th century, mainly buffalo hunters and the army, who founded Fort Phantom Hill, which she abandoned by the 1870s, when the Indians (Apache) finally left the central part of Texas. In 1881, a railroad junction was established on the Texas Pacific Road, giving rise to a settlement (town status since 1882) named after Abilene in Kansas, then a center of ranching. After boom 1920-30s the city began to weaken economically, and only the establishment of the US Air Force base in 1953 helped to stop the decline of the city. The center of an important agricultural region and oil production. The city has developed the production of cottonseed oil and fodder (cake). It is ranked 17th among US cities in terms of higher education, with the highest ranking in Texas. There are three universities in the city – (Abilene Christian University, Hardin-Simmons University and McMurry University). There are a large number of different Christian churches in Abilene, which play an important role in the life of the city. The West Texas Fair is held annually in September, as well as many cattle shows and rodeos. Within Abilene are 29parks, a zoo, three sports complexes, a family entertainment center. On the first Sunday of April, the City Day is celebrated every year. Among the attractions are a small historical center built up with buildings from the 1920s and 40s, the Grace Museum (fine art) and the Texas Frontier (Wild West Museum), the 1936 Paramount cinema in art deco style. The suburbs are home to the historic village of Buffalo Gap (recreated from the early 20th century) and the Abilene Conservation Area, which houses the artificial Abilene Lake, which supplies the city with water. Among the natives of the city is actress Jessica Simpson.

Phantom Hill Fort : Built in the 1850s as one of the second line of fortifications to protect settlers, it is also designed to protect travelers who passed through Comanche lands on their way to California. In 1849, Captain Randolph B. Marcy was sent to find the best route through an area called the “Comancherie.” The foundations of Fort Phantom Hill were built on Marcy’s recommendation.

Five units of the Fifth Infantry Regiment (Lt. Col. John Abercrombie, Commanding Officer) arrived at the site in the fall of 1851 to begin construction. From the very beginning, there were great difficulties due to the lack of forests and water. However, thanks to a source of building stone that was two miles south along Elm Creek, the fort was built. The premises for the rank and file and outbuildings were primitive, although all the houses were made of stone. There were completely stone buildings – a powder magazine, a warehouse and a prison.

The official name of this fort is “Clear Fork Post on Brazos”. The strange name comes from an optical illusion. The fort appears to jut out of the plain when seen from a distance, but up close, when the ground is leveled and slightly raised, it disappears from view. The flowing waters of Elm Creek and the brackish waters of Clear Fork made staying here not too pleasant. Even a well dug 80 feet was not a reliable source of water. Therefore, more often water must be delivered from the river, four miles from the fort.

Lacking a cavalry corps to oppose the Comanches, the garrison nonetheless succeeded in its task. Here they communicated with more peaceful Indians such as Kikkapu and Kiowa. Delaware Indians served as guides and scouts. Four of the original five divisions that built the fortress were removed from here in 1853, and the remaining troops were attached to the Second Dragoon Regiment. The fort was abandoned in early April 1854 – after a short period of less than four years. Shortly after the abandonment, the fortress burned to the ground. For what reason is still unknown. Few of the remaining buildings were restored in 1858. During the civil war, the fort was visited by rangers, and some units of the border battalion used it as a base for their operations. In the early 1870s, the Mackenzie raiders attacked Indian enemies from here. When the Indian threat was eliminated, buffalo hunters settled in a small town that arose here in the mid-1870s. Since 1880, more than 500 people have lived, and gradually it becomes a city. The Texas and Pacific Railroad bypassed Fort Phantom in 1882 heading south through Abilene. The fort has become just a ghost of the past. It is now privately owned by the owner of the land, but remains a historical site that the landowners allow to visit. The problem with the lack of water has been solved: a huge artificial reservoir has been made to the south of the fort (named after him).

Located in present-day Jones County, Phantom Hill Fort is one of the most pristine historical sites in Texas. It was one of the second line of fortifications laid down in early 1850 to protect the settlements of Texas, whose borders were moving west. Today, Fort Phantom Hill is part of the Fort Trail Texas, a 650-mile highway ride along historic forts in Middle Texas. Originally known as “Post Clear Fork on Brazos”, the fort was occupied by the US Army from 1851 to 1854. Fort Phantom Hill was soon abandoned by the Army as a fire destroyed much of the log walls and roofs of the buildings. However, there is still much for modern visitors to the old fort to explore, inspect and study, including the three original stone buildings (the pristine gunpowder store, the stone watch house, and the nearly intact warehouse), over a dozen stone chimneys, and the stone foundations of the original fort. .

The 22-acre fort is now owned by the non-profit Fort Phantom Foundation, which is registered with the Texas Historical Monuments Board. Fart is open daily during daylight hours and is free for visitors.

The Foundation welcomes public visits to this historic site, but reminds visitors not to mutilate, remove, dig, or destroy any structures or artifacts at Fort Phantom Hill. Information on: http://www.fortphantom.org/

Abilene is a large city in the United States, located in the central part of the state of Texas. The City of Abilene is also the county seat of Taylor County. The population of the city, nestled on Elm Creek, is about 116 thousand people, and with the suburbs about 130 thousand. The area of the city is 287 km². In the middle of the 19th century, the territory where the modern city of Abilene is now located began to be successfully developed by white settlers for the first time. Most of the newcomers were buffalo hunters and soldiers from the same army that had founded the famous Phantom Hill Fort. Later in 1870, the army abandoned this port when they finally drove the natives (Apache tribes) out of central Texas. A dozen years later, in 1881, a strategic Texas-Pacific railroad junction was created, which gave rise to the settlement. The status of the city of Abilene received in 1882, and was named after another city of Abilene in Kansas, the then center of cattle breeding. After the crisis, called the Great Depression, which fell on 19In the 20-30s, the city began to gradually weaken economically, and only after the US Air Force base was established here in 1953, the decline of the city was stopped, and the economy received a second wind.

Abilene is currently the center of an important agricultural and oil production area. The city produces a huge amount of cottonseed oil and feed for farm animals.

Abilene rightfully ranks high among US cities in terms of higher education, while having the highest ranking in the state of Texas. There are three universities in the city. These are Abilene Christian University, Hardin-Simmons University and McMurry University.

The most important role in the religious life of the inhabitants of modern Abilene is played by many parishes of various Christian churches located in the city and its environs.

The annual West Texas Fair and many livestock shows, which are traditionally held in September, become bright events for residents and guests of the city. Well, what kind of fair in Texas can do without the main spectacle – the famous rodeo, which attracts many spectators and participants from all over the state. The modern city contains many parks, a zoo, three sports complexes, and a family entertainment center. On the first Sunday in April, Abilene celebrates City Day every year.

The main sights of the city, which are definitely worth visiting for guests, are: a small but very colorful historical center, built up with buildings of the 1920-40s, the Grace Museum of Fine Arts and the Wild West Museum Frontier Texas, a visit to the famous Paramount cinema created in 1936 in Art Deco style will leave a lasting impression. In the suburbs of Abilene, there is the historical village of Buffalo Gap, where the authentic appearance of the beginning of the 20th century is recreated and the reserve, which contains the purest artificial lake Abilene, which provides the entire city with a supply of water. The Dyess Air Base is located near the city.

The breakfast service with Miss Adie was phenomenal! Both mornings, she truly made our stay. Her cheery smile and can-do attitude were such a nice way to start our day, and she made sure my 3 little boys got plenty of fresh bananas, Texas shaped waffles, and chocolate milk! And the space was spotlessly clean and fully stocked, even at the busiest times. Also, the manager Brice was so friendly and helpful, truly going above and beyond the call of duty to be sure we were happy guests. This team and their well-kept hotel reminded us of why we appreciate true Texas hospitality!!
