    Before School Programs begin 1-2 hours before the start of the school day, unless the school start time is not a standard time. The Before School program may be longer at those particular sites. Click here for Broward County School hours.

    After Care hours are generally from 2:00pm – 6:00pm. Schools with later dismissal times, adjust rates and times accordingly. Some programs might stay open beyond 6:00 pm.

    A late pick up fee is charged if students are not picked up by program close time.

    Program Fees

    Costs to parents are minimal. BASCC programs are not drop in programs. Parents must pay in advance for services. Children receive care every day the school is open including early release days.

    School Board Operated programs currently charge parents a $30.00 registration fee per student. The fee is paid prior to entry into the program, and again for any re-entry throughout the school year. At sites offering credit card payments, you may use American Express, Visa or MasterCard. Some programs allow for online payments via the Broward Schools estore.

    Tuition for School Board Operated programs is $211.00 per payment period (based on a typical 4 hour program) for a total of twelve payments. The hourly rate is $3.50 per hour. Please note that these payment amounts will be different for year round schools and those schools that end after 2:00 PM. Fees are paid in advance for services, and are due on the date scheduled. If payment is not made on time, students are withdrawn from the program.

    Rates for programs managed by Private Providers may vary, but cannot be more than 20% higher than School Board Operated Programs.

  • Remember, all payments must be made prior to the start of payment period.

    • Payments may be made prior to the “Last Day” to pay to avoid problems. All of our School Board Operated (SBO) schools have online payments available.
