The Environment

Kountry Kidz is dedicated to our children, providing exceptional information and quality childcare. It is our goal to focus on the needs of our individual children by promoting a stimulating atmosphere for learning along with a secure and loving environment. Within our care, children develop skills that promote physical, emotional, social, and intellectual growth. At Kountry Kidz, we strive to provide a clean and safe environment for young children and their families. We promote safety using state-of-the art building cameras, providing a fenced in outdoor play area for all children and keeping our facility locked at all times.  We believe in being supportive of our parents, and always welcome their positive involvement and presence at Kountry Kidz. We further believe that within our environment, children can thrive and can blossom into responsible and contributing members of our society.

Our Staff

All teaching staff have degrees in Early Childhood Education or possess other related child development credentials such as a CDA (Child Development Associate), which requires at least 120 hours of formal child development training. All staff have completed FBI and BCI criminal background checks before working side by side with any of our children. All staff are certified in First Aid, CPR, Communicable Disease and Child Abuse. They are required to complete 20 additional hours of professional child development training throughout the year, through state classes, orientation videos, in-house training and other certified professional training in the educational field.

Our teachers are very caring, loving, and supportive to our daycare children. They continually strive to provide a warm, welcoming, and nurturing environment for the children to learn and explore.

Our Philosophy

At Kountry Kidz, we are committed to helping the whole child develop and reach their potential. Our mission is to provide opportunities for interaction with other children conducive to the development of healthy social experiences and also, to provide experiences that contribute to building positive self-esteem among little learners.  All children are special, and each has his/her own personality, strengths, needs and learning styles. It is our responsibility to tap into how a particular child learns and develop strategies to help the child master all basic skills. Our program provides opportunities to experience and stimulate each child emotionally, socially and cognitively. We provide opportunities for the children to manipulate and explore a variety of media in art, music, science, math, language, dramatic play, and large and small muscle activities throughout the day and is designed based on the interest of the children. Our program will foster independence, self-esteem and problem-solving skills. Our curriculum will provide opportunity for choice and decision making within the framework that respects each child’s developmental abilities.

Wintersville Daycare | Wintersville Child Care

We offer programs for children ranging from infant to school age. If you have any questions about these programs, please feel free to contact us.

Infants (Birth to 18 months)

Our infant area provides the highest quality care in an environment that is designed with the parent and child in mind. We understand that infants require flexibility and individualization when it comes to meeting their unique needs. Therefor, we partner along side parents to develop a regular schedule that mimics their habits at home. Keeping this in mind, we attempt to establish as much consistency as possible to provide your little one with a strong sense of trust and security. While in our care, the children are stimulated through music, exercise, tummy time, facial and verbal mimicking as well as lots of love. A parent daily report is given to update each family on meal times, nap times, diaper changes and all activities accomplished each day.

Toddlers (18 months to 3 years)

At this age, children are meeting new challenges as fast as they come. As toddlers develop, their curiosity and thirst for knowledge grows rapidly. These energetic little ones are growing and learning, so at Kountry Kidz we channel their energy into positive learning by giving them ample room to move and explore as they see their world as one large playground. Our toddler program is designed to promote their budding interests, independence, self-esteem and confidence. A parental daily report is given to update each family on meal times, nap times, toilet training and all activities accomplished each day.

Preschoolers (3 years to 5 years)

For active learners, Preschool is the last crucial stop on the journey toward elementary school and future academic success. Active, hands-on early childhood learning experiences guide children’s development in key school readiness skills. Our preschool program focuses on building independence, collaboration and communication skills, hands-on learning, writing, language and literacy skills. Children in this room will engage in various studies and investigations to explore, discover, learn and develop lifelong critical thinking skills. Our classroom is sectioned off into learning centers upon which children can visit independently or with teacher guidance, allowing them to create new boundaries.

School Age (6 years to 12 years)

Fun, exciting, educational mornings and afternoons await your child here. Our school-age children focus on goal-setting and reflection, complemented by homework support, team-building opportunities, and physical activity. With a mix of independent and organized activities, education and recreation opportunities, our program offers an involving experience for all students, while giving order and routine to their mornings and afternoons. We provide a nutritional breakfast and afternoon snack, while partnering with Indian Creek School District to provide safe transportation to and from school each day.

Our Summer program is packed with excitement, discovery and adventure. Children will make new friendships and a lifetime of memories while exploring exciting weekly themes throughout the summer.
