I think that kids r kids is the best learning center because my grandson enjoys being there. He loves his teacher and enjoys doing computers. The place is well secure, it consist of educational skills that help build a foundation for my grandson and it has fun fill activities that bring enjoyment to his day.

I have had my child enrolled a…

I have had my child enrolled at this center for the last 14 months. My family couldn’t possibly be more pleased with this center. My child comes home every night speaking english, spanish AND sign language. Kids R Kids is the best thing to happen to my 16 month old. When I read the posts previous to this one I was appauled, I cannot believe someone would take time out of their day to lie. This facility gets my highest rating, I am their biggest fan for what they have done for my daughter

I love Kids R Kids. I have my child at the Hardy Oak location, and I feel like she is learning so much there. It is not just a "daycare" it is a wonderful pre-school for all ages! The staff is wonderful , and her teachers are amazing! She loves going to school. Thank you Kids R Kids!

Shout out to room 350, Ms Deanna does very well with the kids in a room full of boys she manages to teach as best as she can with what she has. She is always a friendly face in the morning and encouraging to all the little ones. She picks up on each one of the kids personality and fosters a “you can do it” attitude. Her attention to the kids is impressive, and this was present in her review of our child, she is excellent, a 5 start teacher.
Ms Betty seems to be a jack of all trades, I have seen her in various rooms to provide assistance as needed. She seems to do well enough with where ever I have seen her work.
My kid has been attending this location of Kids R Kids since about 9 months, and up till this room we have felt the teachers have gotten the support they needed. This would be a for sure 5 star if I felt she was supported. I understand keeping people lately for them has been hard, which I understand (This delay/retention is why I have marked it as 4 star). Ultimately if you are looking for a solid day care, look no further, this place is great!
The staff are very helpful and understand the struggles of new parents. The programs and education offered here are great as well. My child progress considering everything is well and our next little one will be coming here as well (This speaks to the overall value of the school brings to families ). I really want to give them a 5 star, and will once I see the support issue is address with Ms. Deanna 🙂

My daughter started attending when she was 2 years old, and their potty training routine helped her get potty trained in about a month of when she began training! The staff there is funny and down to earth. The kids are always playing and doing something fun or academic. I believe my daughter is learning helpful social and developmental skills while in their prek3 program.

My son has been attending Kids R Kids for close to a year now and all of his teachers have been absolutely wonderful. Ms. Charlotte, Ms. Jasmine and Ms. Suzanne in room 200 are amazing! My son adores them and always has a smile when dropping him off and picking him up. I appreciate all of their hard work, time and attention they give my son and all of their students.

Leaving the care of your baby to someone is scary. But I know when I drop Scarlett off everyday with Ms. Marisol, Ms. Aurora, and Ms. Elizabeth that she’s in the best care she can be when she’s not with me. She is happy and smiling when she goes and is just as happy when she’s picked up at the end of the day. We love Kids R Kids!

My little guy has been attending Kids R Kids since he was 3 months old in Suite 100. This place is great and I have been impressed by their curriculum, even with the infants. They provide sensory teaching and use infant sign language which is great for young, developing minds. All of the teachers have been great (Ms Marisol, Ms Aurora, & Ms Elizabeth) and he seems to truly enjoy himself when he is there! It keeps this first time mom’s mind at ease knowing he is in good hands and learning so much.

Basketball fever is often inherited. From father to son. Steel character and professionalism are already in the genes. It remains only to continue the family tradition. The Bank Shot blog on Sports.ru remembers the most famous fathers and children who played in the NBA.

You can’t teach to be tall, but if your father played in the NBA, then with a high degree of probability you will get excellent physical data and a first-class protégé who will help you make the first (and often second and third) step in professional basketball.

It’s always interesting to watch the heir to a great player try his hand at the best league in the world. Often, from the genius of the father, the son gets only a surname, a long first step and a couple of tricks learned in the backyard. But there are also reverse examples, when the father’s sporting achievements became a springboard for the offspring’s victorious career.

It won’t be easy to remember everyone, but it’s worth trying.

Rick Barry and Brent, Drew and John Barry

The most famous dynasty in the NBA. Most often they talk about Rick and Brent – two great snipers from different eras. The first is a real legend from the 60s. Eight All-Star Games, Rookie of the Year title, then a dashing 70s, NBA title with Golden State and Finals MVP award. Barry constantly changed his game, improved. He came to the league as a great rebounder and scorer and only then became a phenomenal sniper and assistant. His free throw is just a song. And despite the fact that Rick, with his “grandmother’s” technique, practically did not miss from the line.

His middle son Brent – contrary to fairy tales – was most like his father. The same big-headed, deadly from a three-point distance. He was always one of those guys who was trusted to take the decisive shot. And not anyone trusted him, but Gregg Popovich himself: as part of San Antonio, Brent twice won the champion title, outdoing his father in this. Winning the slam dunk contest in 1996 is a bonus to a great career.

John and Drew are most often said to be the two sons of the famous Hall of Famer Rick Barry and one of the top 50 players in NBA history. Agree, not the worst feature. The youngest of the family (Drew) was dusting in the league at the turn of the 2000s, lit up with Atlanta, Seattle and Golden State. Senior (John) is a narrow special, a role player who could score 12 points in 3 minutes, finish the match twice in a row with statistics of 5 three-pointers and 5 interceptions, and then fall out of the main clip. Over the 12 years of his career, John changed 8 teams, but one thing was never in doubt – his throw. It’s in the Barry family’s blood.

Brent and John now work as commentators and TV pundits and, together with other former players, make the NBA better and more understandable for mere mortals.

Bill Walton and Luke Walton

William Theodore Walton 3rd, Big Red Head, Big Bill, Man-Mountain – as soon as the legendary Portland center was not called. He is considered a home in San Diego and Boston, despite the fact that, for example, in the Celtics, he spent only two seasons at the end of his career and most often came off the bench. Unlike his son, Bill could choose his favorite color. Rumor has it that the question “yellow or green?” he was helped to answer by Larry Bird. Luke’s career – successful in college – stalled in the NBA at the stage of “role player who did not live up to expectations.” All the Lakers fans are trying to trade Walton’s contract in the trade machine, and the player himself has long wanted something more than five trash minutes in the contender.

Joe Bryant and Kobe Bryant

In contrast, the Bryant family. The father is an ordinary forward who missed the league for eight seasons, and then left for Italy in search of a better life. The son is the best player of our time, who inherited only cat plasticity, stylish turns and natural charm.

Joe was called “Marmalade”, he scored through Karim, averaged at least 11 points per season (with the Philadelphia, Clippers and Houston), in Italy he gave scoring performances twice (53 points per game in part of the Pistoia), but he is doomed to remain in history as “the father of Kobe Bryant, five-time NBA champion.”

Henry Bibby and Mike Bibby

The Bibby family is a great example of more than just being tall. Father – 185 cm, son – 188 cm, but at the same time both made excellent careers at the university level, played in the NBA ((Henry even became a champion in the Knicks). No. 2 in the 1998 Draft, and almost his entire career, he was a starter, scoring decisive shots, breaking fast breaks and fighting for the highest places.In the company of Divac, Webber and Stojakovic, it could not be otherwise. 0005

It was more difficult for my father. Despite being part of John Wooden’s legendary Bruins (88 straight wins), Henry had to climb to the stars from the 4th round (58 picks). On the streets of Boston in the early 60s, you could learn more than basic hand-to-hand combat. Jimmy Walker was the most famous streetball player in the city (although they were probably called differently back then). The guy spent days on the set, missing such important moments in his life as schooling, first love, drugs on the street and unwanted companies. The only memory I have of Boston Trade High School is meeting Sam Jones, a future Celtics player. Walker was placed at Providence University by his uncle, who knew the team’s coach, Joe Mullany. From that moment on, Jimmy’s life changed – he was noticed. 50 points against Bob Cosey’s team, the MVP at Madison Square Garden – and now the guy from the street becomes the main character of college basketball. Draft 19’67 is the first time that territorial picks have ceased to operate (under the old rules, Walker would have ended up in Boston with his old friend with Sam Jones). And so, under the first number, he was chosen by Detroit, and all that Walker could achieve was two All-Star Games, and 17 points on average per season. As the player himself later admitted, he often lacked motivation, and sometimes even desire.

His son Jalen became famous long before he played his first game in the NBA. The legendary “Fab Five” from Michigan (Chris Webber, Jalen Rose, Juven Howard, Jimmy King, Ray Jackson) are the very bad guys who left no one indifferent.

The NBA also remembered Rose. Basically, of course, according to scandalous statements in the press and a conflict with Larry Brown (the player was even called “Mr. DNPСD” – Did Not Play – Coach’s Decision), but when everyone finally decided that Rose would bring the most benefit to the light forward position , he shone in Indiana. The 1996-2000 seasons were the best in the striker’s career.

Gerald Wilkins and Damien Wilkins

The former can’t be seen behind Patrick Ewing’s broad back. But it was Gerald Wilkins who was the second highest scoring “knickerbocker” in the late 80s.

No coincidence, Hawks legend Dominic Wilkens is Gerald’s brother. The family has a high jump by default. And the Knicks guard also had an excellent shot – Gerald Wilkins became famous as one of the most ruthless clutch shooters of his time. But, of course, he was far from his brother.

Son Damien is a pale shadow of his father and uncle. In the draft he was not noticed, despite the pedigree. The Summer League gave the sniper a second chance in the form of a contract with Seattle. After the departure of Rashard Lewis and Ray Allen, he even got a starter spot and broke out in a match that scored 41 points and 9rebounds, but this was not even enough to subsequently become part of the rotation of the NBA club. Now Damien is surviving on 10-day contracts, and was last seen in Atlanta.

Mike Dunleavy Sr. and Mike Dunleavy Jr.

One name for two, one destiny. Both are always missing something. Senior – good luck. The youngest – stability.

Father’s career was short – he can only be remembered in San Antonio (72 games, 7.8 points, 5.5 assists, 1.7 rebounds). In Milwaukee, Houston, and Philadelphia, the defenseman diligently treated a chronic lower back injury that ultimately ended his career. That didn’t stop Dunleavy from returning to the league as a coach (something many regret) and is still associated with Clippers failures, an unmanageable Zach Randolph and various anti-records.

The son does not yet show interest in coaching, and this helps to evaluate Dunleavy Jr. more objectively. The versatile Duke soldier who won the NCAA title in 2000 received too many compliments and still can’t justify himself. Dunleavy is an excellent sniper, with a golden hand and a cold heart if he catches a shot. Otherwise, he is one of the main reasons for the defeat of his team.

Ronald Brewer and Ronnie Brewer

Brewer Sr. selected in the 19 draft78 just behind Larry Bird. They believed in him more than, for example, in Reggie Theus and Morris Cheeks. But already in the first season, the defender showed his maximum (13.3 points and a place in the top five rookies). There was no further progress, and Ronald Brewer chose the unenviable role of a traveler – he changed 6 teams in 8 years. “My son is my pride. He is the only thing I have achieved in my life. I think he will be better than me, ”the father gave the first advances to Brewer Jr.

Ronnie is now cementing the Chicago back court, replacing Keith Boganz, who is only nominally the Bulls’ starting number two. An athletic, bouncy defender is one of those who can defend against any opponent, support a fast break, help on rebounds. Only problems with the shot prevent Brewer from becoming a truly great player for a contender team.

Dolph Shaze and Danny Shaze

This couple is often forgotten, but only because Danny Shaze did not have the zeal, and maybe talent, to even come close to his father’s fame.

Dolph is a Philadelphia legend and, forgive us Allen Iverson and his fans, the most decorated player in history. It was impossible to defend against him – a throw with a rainbow trajectory was deadly accurate and almost inaccessible to defenders. For this, Shaze was nicknamed “Satellite”. At the very beginning of his career, he broke his wrist and was forced to throw with one hand all season. He adapted, brought this element to perfection. As part of the “76s” he won the championship title (1955), led the team in rebounding for several seasons and went to Star Weekend 12 times. A place among the 50 best players in the history of the NBA Dolph Shayz rightfully deserved.

His son Danny’s career is best described by the report of one of the scouts. “This guy looks like Dolph but throws like his mom.” Of course, it wasn’t all that bad. An excellent career in Syracuse, then the 1987/88 season with the Nuggets, during which the forward scored more than 13 points and 8 rebounds per game. He was constantly afraid of making a mistake, threw with a high percentage (64) and could not stand comparisons with his father, because of whose shadow he never saw the sun.

Scott May and Sean May

Scott May is an Indiana University legend. The striker was so indispensable that Bobby Knight in 1975 released him to the match against Kentucky with a broken arm (although Indiana still lost and could not get into the Final Four). Scott May survived the defeat and the next season, having received the title of player of the year, he secured the championship for his university. Then there was the triumphant 1976 Olympics, which traditionally ended for the Americans with a golden shower. In the NBA, May played for the Bulls and spent eight good seasons in the league, averaging 10.4 points and 4.1 rebounds per game.

Sean May is like a copy of my father. A prominent role in the North Carolina team, an NCAA championship, a bag of expectations and compliments, a great position in the draft. But this family seems to be made for college basketball. Sean never found himself in the NBA. He wanders around the “benches”, suffers from excess weight, heals sores. After six years of wandering, he tied himself with a contract with the Turkish “Ulker”.

Dell Curry and Stephen Curry

Reminds me of the new Where Amazing Happens commercial.

A father teaches his son how to properly straighten his arm, turn his hand after a throw – these are the basics of basketball and if they are taught at an early age, then the child, with due diligence, will develop first-class technique.

Same as Stephen Curry. Rivals in the NBA have already figured out that leaving this guy unattended is like death. All fears that the point guard would not take root in a league where athletic defenders rule the ball did not materialize. Curry has his own trump cards, and now it’s impossible to say for sure who the Golden State management is afraid of losing more – a talented sophomore or Monta Ellis.

Stephen’s father had a harder time. In the NBA, he raised virgin soil – fate threw the defender into a new team from Charlotte – the Hornets, where Curry left the bench, but at the same time was considered one of the leaders. He wrote a new team history and is still the leader in games played, points scored and three-point shots. As a reward – a prize for the best sixth player of the 1993/1994 season.

Dell Curry now works in television, commentating on Bobcats matches and advertising his son, who really deserves it, at every opportunity.

This is where the stories of the rich and famous end, but that doesn’t mean father-son duos didn’t exist in the NBA anymore. The scale of personalities and the level of involvement with the best league in the world are changing, but the fact remains.

Stan Love and Kevin Love . The son was only truly recognized this season, when he set a record for double-doubles and rolled up to the All-Star Game, and his father spent three incomplete seasons in the league, having noted in the application of the Lakers and Baltimore.

Tito Horford and Al Horford . Tito’s father is known as the first player from the Dominican Republic in the NBA. He played really for a short time (only three seasons) and not very successfully, which does not prevent Tito from giving everyone advice and begging the Hawks management to use his son Al as a power forward.

George Karl and Kobi Karl . We know the first one better as a good old-school coach who has never won a championship. The second – as a burden for all clubs in the league.

Carl has only played 33 games in the NBA with San Antonio (before that the team played in the ABA), and his son Kobe is far from Kobe and all he has managed to achieve so far is to be photographed in the Lakers uniform.

Wesley Matthews Sr. and Wesley Matthews Jr. . Utah fans still cannot understand why the management parted ways with Wesley Matthews so easily. The guy came out of nowhere – undrafted, with an excellent ammo load for playing in the NBA. The sophomore is now frolicking at the Rose Garden and helping everyone come to terms with Brandan Roy’s injuries.

Wes’s father won the title twice in nine seasons in the NBA (with the Lakers), changed from half a dozen teams, but never found himself in the league – players with a height of 185 cm were always difficult in the NBA.

LeRon Ellis and LeRoy Ellis . My father’s best years were spent with the Lakers, where he became a champion in 1972 and won a record 33 wins with the team, helping out to the best of his ability on rebounding and defense. Three of Ellis’s four children followed in his footsteps. Daughter Lisa played for California and Kentucky, eldest son LeRoy Junior was marked in the second division of the NCAA, and LeRon Ellis, after two successful seasons in Kentucky and Syracuse, was selected in the draft-1991 at number 22 by the Clippers and spent three incomplete seasons in the NBA.

Bob Ferry and Danny Ferry . His father played ten seasons in the NBA with Atlanta, Detroit, and Baltimore in the 60s, while his son was bald and tall with a desire to shoot 3-pointers with Cleveland and San Antonio.

Walter Jones and Askiya Jones . Jones Sr. managed to put together a good career in the NBA. The diminutive point guard made the All-Rookie Team in his first season as a Bullets player, then played on Wilt Chamberlain’s team, backcourt with Hal Greer. Sixers in season-1966/1967 rolled across all teams (68 wins and 13 losses), flew through three playoff series in the same breath, crushing defending champions from Boston along the way, and won the final against San Francisco. Wally Jones was part of this great team.

Walter’s son wasn’t drafted by any NBA team, but Askiya played 11 games with Minnesota, enough to put the Joneses on our list.

Al McGuire and Ellie McGuire

Al McGuire brazenly shouted from the bench, “I can stop Bob Cosey!” The next six times, when the ball and Kuzi met on the court, McGuire grossly violated the rules, but at the same time he smiled from the top of his head – he was trying to keep his promise.

There are no such stories about McGwire’s son, and in the NBA the defender played only two games, playing a total of only five minutes.

George Mikan and Larry Mikan

About the legendary Mikan, who is called only Mr. Basketball, you can write a separate article. About his son Larry – and a line will be enough. One NBA season with the Cavaliers, 53 games, 3 points and 2.6 rebounds per game.

James Paxon and Jim, John Paxons

Father James, drafted by the Lakers in the 1956 draft, was the founder of the family business. The tradition was continued by eldest son Jim, who played for Portland and the Celtics in the mid-80s. Well, the youngest Paxon is the same guy from Chicago that you immediately thought of.

Butch Van Breda Kolf and Jan Van Breda Kolf

Father joined the Knicks immediately after World War II ended. But this did not stop Butch from continuing to fight right on the site. The rough power forward shot a terrible 30 percent and shot a measly 4.7 points in 175 games with New York, but he was a captain and a very respected man. This subsequently helped him become an excellent coach. Butch’s son, Ian, is better known as the son of his father, but no one will delete eight seasons in the NBA from his life.

Ernie Vanderweihe and Kiki Vanderweihe

This difficult surname began to break the tongue in the middle of the last century and has not finished until now. Ernie played for New York in the early 50s, and his son, after a successful NBA career, worked as a coach, and was most recently seen on the sinking Nets ship, which Mikhail Prokhorov patched up in time.

Kiki’s game is still remembered in the league. For seven seasons, the striker scored at least 20 points per game. The best years of the player were spent in Denver and Portland – Kiki participated in the All-Star Game, came up with simple but effective moves that were later included in textbooks, and led his teams to the playoffs 12 out of 13 times. At the same time, Kiki always said that the most important person for him is his father. It was he who instilled in Kiki a love of basketball.

Milton Wagner and DeJuan Wagner

Wagner Sr. showed the world a unique achievement. Despite only playing 53 games in the NBA (with the Lakers and Miami), Milton is one of the few players to win titles at the high school, collegiate and professional levels. He achieved all these victories hand in hand with his friend Billy Thompson (except for the NBA, where Thompson won the championship one year later than Wagner).

Milton’s son had a better streetball lead, averaged around 40 points in high school, was selected in the 2002 draft with a very high sixth pick but failed to live up to expectations. All those who compared DeJuan Wagner with Allen Iverson hurriedly retreated – the defender scored about 13 points in his first season, but his shot selection suffered seriously (only 36 percent of hits). After 11 games in the 2004/2005 season, the player was hospitalized – peptic ulcers were discovered. After recovering, Wagner signed a contract with the Warriors, but two months later, representatives of the Golden State refused the player. Now the defender is living out his short basketball life as part of the Polish Prokom.

Gerald Henederson, Sr. and Gerald Henederson, Jr.

The son is known for his sharpshooting talents and for beating the infamous owner of the Bobcats in H-O-R-S-E. The defender has recently established himself in the basis of Charlotte (immediately after the exchange of Gerald Wallace) and is now fighting fiercely with the team for the eighth line in the East.

His father had thirteen glorious seasons in the NBA and will go down in history as the guy who intercepted James Worthy’s ball and tied the game in Game 2 of the Final 1984 years, where the Celtics and Lakers traditionally met. Thanks to the feat of Gerald Henderson Sr., Boston moved the meeting to overtime, where KC Jones’ team was a little more successful (124:121). In the end, everything stretched to the seventh game (111:102), and the Celtics won, but the importance of that interception cannot be overestimated.

Terry Davis and Ed Davis

Ed was selected thirteenth overall by Toronto in this year’s draft. The North Carolina forward could have gone into the Top 5 last season, agents said, but Davis broke his wrist against the Dukes and was forced to spend another year in college. As part of the Raptors, he really began to play after Reggie Evans was out of action. The guy in every match aspired to a double-double, and many people wanted to see him at the match of Rookies and Sophomores in Los Angeles.

Ed is an exact copy of his father. The same height (6’10), the same wide arm span. That’s just Terry worked in the NBA exclusively as a laborer. Virginia Union University produces players on a single order – tough uncompromising forwards, gravitating towards the center position. Before Terry was Charles Oakley, after him was Ben Wallace. These guys keep the world going. Davis was an undrafted player, but this did not stop him from spending more than ten years in the NBA and subsequently teaching all the tricks to his son, who has much more talent.

After it became known that David West was out before the end of the season, New Orleans announced the signing of a 10-day agreement with forward Patrick Ewing Jr. Everyone is tired of advertising this guy, and most likely it will end in another disappointment. But how do you want to refute the popular opinion that nature rests on the children of geniuses!

It is warm and humid inside

It was a very cold day and the opportunity to get into the caves was very pleasing. There are 2 routes, up to an hour each, groups depart on time, you can take a plane in both. They warn that one is difficult, but it turned out to be normal, there were people who did not look like athletes.
Shoes – to comfortably walk on wet floors. Food is not allowed, from drinks – only non-carbonated water is allowed.
You can’t touch anything, just hold on to the railing.
Due to humidity and temperature change (34 outside, about 80 inside, Fahrenheit), I did not dare to take out the camera, the phone managed.
Both routes are somewhat similar, on a more difficult one in the depths of the hall of complete darkness (there is no natural, the artificial guide will turn it off, everyone is sitting on benches), interesting.

Pretty good

If you like looking at old ruins, then this is the place for you. The park brings together four missions located in the San Antonio area, in varying degrees of preservation and restoration. The visit is free, you can devote a couple of hours to this activity if you have your own transport – a car or a motorcycle.

Charming

Very beautiful cathedral. The oldest functioning Catholic cathedral in the United States. This alone will make you visit it. Despite its age, the cathedral is in excellent shape, giving the impression that it was built recently. So atypical for the states as a whole, but in beauty and interior decoration it can compete with good European samples!

Riverboat trip

Wonderful river crossing San Antonio almost in half. Excursion tours are organized on the river on small boats for 10-12 people. While traveling along the river, passengers can admire the view of the well-groomed embankment and local attractions. I recommend to everyone!

Lovers of walks and beauty – come here!

Very nice place to visit, also with children. During our visit, an exhibition of tiny Lego figures was opened in the garden, from 20 thousand to more than 90 thousand in every creation. The children received cards with pictures and were happy to look for the figures. They were happy to find them and mark them on their maps. I think they will remember this trip.

The zoo is not very big, but there is something to see (you will definitely spend 2 hours). There were not many visitors in February. the pavilion with butterflies did not work. in my opinion, an interesting collection of snakes, mainly from South America, and interesting specimens of wild cats. Some birds can be viewed by entering the spacious aviary-cage.

Very nice amusement park for the whole family

Two nights in San Antonio. We spent most of the day at the park.
Visited both parts and rides and water park.
The children were delighted, and so were the adults.

Remains of former luxury

Personally, I liked this mission the most of the four in the San Antonio area. Probably because there is the least left here, but most of all there is confidence that what is presented is not built now, but has been preserved for a long time.
