Well-known rock musicians joined the action of the “Children of BEL” foundation to find children with epidermolysis bullosa

Participants of the music festival “Dobrofest” supported the action of the Children of BEL Charitable Foundation – #FIND_YOUR_BUTTERFLY. The essence of the campaign is to search for children with epidermolysis bullosa in the regions of Russia in order to help them.

Children of BEL Charitable Foundation helps children with a rare genetic disease – epidermolysis bullosa. All over the world, such children are called “butterfly children”, because their skin is as vulnerable and fragile as the wing of a butterfly – even a gentle hug from their mother can hurt them.

According to statistics, there should be about 4,000 children with epidermolysis bullosa in Russia. To date, more than 250 people have applied to the Children of BEL Foundation. According to the foundation, many families in the regions where there are children with this disease are not yet aware of the existence of a charitable organization and do not receive assistance. The goal of the fund is to find as many “butterfly children” in the Russian Federation as possible and help them.

The action of the Find Your Butterfly Foundation, announced on February 28, the International Day of Patients with Rare Diseases, was joined by Russian rock bands – participants of the Dobrofest music festival. Among them are LOUNA (Lusine Gevorkyan), Anacondaz (Artem Khorev and Sergey Karamushkin), Cockroaches! (Dmitry “Sid” Spirin), “KniaZz” (Andrey “Prince” Knyazev), “Murakami” (Dilara Vagapova), LaScala (Anna Green).

“If you are a normal healthy person, you cannot look indifferently and calmly at the suffering of people, and even more so of small children. When we were approached with such an initiative, we decided that if something depends on us, we must do it. We cannot help everyone who needs it, but if each of us takes on at least a part of those who need help and whose life through this help will become more joyful and comfortable, and pain will simply disappear from the life of a child, then maybe this way to a healthy society? We may not immediately raise a large amount of money, but we will help people learn about it, we will set a good example for our viewers, ”says Sergei Silushin, producer of the Dobrofest festival, Ridus reports.

The fifth Dobrofest will take place from 27 to 29 June at the Levtsovo airfield near Yaroslavl. The festival plans to host visitors from more than 40 regions of Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and far abroad.

In order to draw attention to their activities, representatives of the Children of BEL Foundation, together with the foundations Line of Life, Artist, HappyFamilies International, take part in the charity marathon Life in Motion – Kilimanjaro-2014. From June 21 to June 28, three children with physical disabilities (Alexander Shulchev, Alexander Pokhilko, Ivan Gorbatenko) climb the highest point in Africa – Kilimanjaro. The purpose of the action is to draw attention to charity in general and, in particular, to the activities of the funds participating in the action, as well as to raise funds for their wards.
