Biography

American illusionist and hypnotist David Copperfield managed to convince hundreds of thousands of people that magic is real. The eminent hoaxer became popular after the release of his author’s TV show on the big screens.

Childhood and youth

On September 16, 1956, the owner of a clothing store, Hyman Kotkin, and his wife, insurance agent Rebecca, a native of Jerusalem, had a son, who was named David. The Jewish family lived in Metachen, New Jersey. From childhood, the boy was attracted by everything mystical and mysterious.
