Covid Health and Safety Guidelines
- Although we understand that as of Friday 2/25/2022, DCF announced that they are no longer requiring children in childcare to wear masks, we at Kid For Kids Academy strongly recommend that they do.
- As a parent, it is your choice to make. If your child arrives at school wearing a mask, we will encourage and support them to keep it on.
- We will continue to offer free masks to all children to facilitate this.
- As an extra measure of protection, our kids in VPK and Kindergarten through Second Grade will continue work within individual plexiglass workspaces.
- Our staff will continue to wear masks and we ask that if you approach the door that you continue to wear one too.
- All students and staff will undergo daily temperature checks.
- The school will be cleaned and sanitized daily.
- Students will not mix with other age groups.
- All children will wash hands upon entry to the facility.
- The health and safety of your child is our #1 Priority.

- Children who have a COVID -19 exposure or close contact, but have no symptoms, are not required to quarantine, and can remain in the classroom.
- If a child is COVID-19 symptomatic or COVID-19 positive, they should stay home while symptoms persist. The child will be able to return to the classroom after 5 days have passed since the onset of symptoms and are fever free for 24 hours.
- After an exposure, close contact, or positive COVID-19 diagnosis, a negative COVID-19 test is not required for a child to be able to return to school.
- Masking Guidance – Children in a childcare facility are not required to wear a mask or face covering.
- Childcare facilities are encouraged to continue to routinely clean classrooms and high traffic areas.
- Children and staff are encouraged to practice routine handwashing throughout the day.

Children’s Academy “Ostankino” is a unique creative place where children of different ages can fully plunge into the world of creativity.
For more than fifteen years, the Ostankino Academy has been creating conditions for the harmonious and all-round development of the child. The technique of speech, work in front of the camera, directing, cameramanship, vocal and pop direction – all this gives the ability to work not only in a certain genre, but also allows you to communicate, build communications at a partner level, helps to determine and set priorities necessary in life, the ability to say “no” when necessary.
While studying at the Ostankino Children’s Academy, young students learn all the subtleties of working in the film and television industry, take part in theatrical performances and create their own projects. All students have the opportunity to study in two or more Workshops at the same time.
In the Theater Workshop, the main emphasis is on the development of speech, plasticity, the study of the history of cinema, theater and television, etc.
The Television Workshop opens its doors to the world of television for its students.
Young academicians receive the skills necessary for future TV and radio hosts.
Future directors work in the Cinema Workshop. All disciplines present in the program help to master this complex profession in theory and practice.
Children’s Academy “Ostankino” constantly conducts intensive courses and training sessions for guests from all over Russia. The experience of passing educational programs, attending classes and creative meetings from the teachers of the Workshops has a positive effect on the results of short-term internships – both for children and for their teachers in regional educational centers.
The workshop curriculum is fundamentally different from the usual school curriculum – lessons are held in the format of quests, games, where each child enthusiastically plunges into the process and completes all tasks with pleasure, shares experience with his peers, etc.

During the training, all students get a unique opportunity to try themselves in all kinds of castings, master classes and internships abroad (Spain, Canada, USA, Great Britain, Sweden, Denmark, Italy, Germany, Montenegro, etc.), organized by the administration of the Academy, as well as partners.
The Ostankino Children’s Academy is an important period in a child’s life, which changes the idea of life and creativity in a completely unique way, and which gives the child/teenager the opportunity to go through a perfect and significant stage in his development as a person.
Children’s Academy of Sciences – Just Learn
Children’s Academy of Sciences is a school and kindergarten in the Kurortny district, the best teachers and psychologists in their field work here, so EVERY child has the opportunity to get a good academic education and discover himself.

We practice:
1. Subject education, starting from elementary school.
The traditional academic base is expanded through subject teaching. Each subject is taught by a subject teacher, which lays a different level, stimulates the depth of knowledge and adapts children to different teaching styles.
Also, each child has a mentor-curator who pays attention to moral education, the development of the will and the formation of motivation for learning.
2. Concentrated and distributed learning.
Training modules alternate with meta-subject and inter-subject immersions. On them, practice and theory alternate, and children can deeply and holistically study the material.
Project-based activities, outdoor lessons, blended learning, hackathons, research and scientific conferences are widely used.
3. Skills of the future.
The Academy develops the ability to self-identify (Who am I, what can I do better than good, where are my strengths and weaknesses, where are my personal boundaries), readiness to make decisions and be responsible for them, the ability to learn, quickly process and analyze information, work independently and in a team.
4. Value and cultural education.
The values of the Academy are inner freedom, which is based on self-discipline and dignity, indifferent attitude to the world around, mercy, diligence.
It is common practice to protect from any kind of lewdness and bad taste. At the same time, we speak honestly and openly with children on various topics, conduct information security lessons, etc.
A cultural environment has been created at the Academy, reading, visiting theaters, museums, and concerts are popular. Music, art, theater are taught.
5. Health and sports.
All classes have walks, hardening, a sauna, a swimming pool, summer and winter sports (basketball, volleyball, skiing, skating, cycling), acrobatics.
On the territory of the school there is a playground with elements of a rope town, as well as a climbing wall for the little ones.
6. Motivating educational environment.
There are many places and locations in the Academy, where there are visual layouts, bas-reliefs, educational maps, etc.
The environment encourages children to ask questions, absorb, compare. In such a space, research becomes the leading activity.
7. Foreign languages.
Children actively learn English and German, every day there is one or two lessons in a foreign language in the schedule. Every year, children take the Cambridge Exam to confirm the level of knowledge.
8. Individual selection of homework assignments.
Children do most of the “homework” at school in the time specially allotted for this with an experienced curator or subject teacher, with the exception of long-term individual projects and fixing topics in a foreign language. The amount of homework is determined individually.
9. Non-rating system.
We believe that grades often become the subject of manipulation and aggression against children.
Therefore, we use other means of assessing knowledge and continue to look for new tools that work to form the internal motivation of children to study.
