Exhibitor Costs 2023

Pricing Policy

For 2023 we’ve simplified the cost structure and eliminated many of the “hidden fees”, moved to a carpeted venue, and thrown in Wi-Fi.

Below outlines flat-rate pricing model of $26 per square foot. As a result, ABC Kids Expo remains one of the lowest price trade shows per square foot globally.

We also know cost can be a barrier for start-up companies or an established 1 SKU brand to participate, so we’ve added a Table Top open display for the reduced entry price of $1950 in 2023.

A $500 deposit payment will be due upon exhibitor registration and approval by ABC.

ABC will assign booths on a first-come, first-serve basis and fill the hall from front to back in the order of registration received.

Having used discount toner cartridges for twenty years, there have been a lot of changes in the toner cartridge market. The market today is approximately a twenty billion dollar business. The savings today are significant. The quality of the discount cartridges is unsurpassed. To insure your complete satisfaction in purchasing discount toner, take a minute to make an informed choice. The problem was that the drill and fill cartridges produced poor quality and printed fewer pages. They were very inconsistent from cartridge to cartridge. In short, there was no quality control. One discount toner cartridge might perform great and the next may not.

Frequently Asked Question

A child has experienced a traumatic experience: how to help him

What words and actions will help to cope with the consequences of stress: expert advice

No matter how careful and careful we are, dangers cannot be completely eliminated from our lives. Everyone can find themselves in a situation associated with a risk to life and health, including children. If a child witnesses a tragedy, violence, or accident, it can harm their mental health. Parents will be able to cope with possible problems if they are attentive to the child’s condition, notice warning signs in time and, if necessary, turn to specialists.

Rules for Discussing Traumatic Events with Children

TV reports and news about armed attacks on students (so-called school shooting) can cause children to worry about their own safety, for their friends and classmates – especially if the tragedy occurred nearby.

It can be difficult for parents to discuss such difficult events with them. However, it is important to remember that children turn to their parents to feel safe. Moreover, this need does not depend on the age of the child: babies, teenagers, and even grown-up children do the same. Here are the recommendations for such cases given by psychologists, experts from the Center for the Protection of the Rights and Interests of Children Mikhail Alaguev and Elena Artamonova.

Talk to your children

Even if a child does not start a conversation about recent events, this does not mean that the topic does not bother him. Start the conversation first, let him know that he and his experiences are important and interesting to you. Disturbing news about schoolshooting can be an additional opportunity to listen to the child. The following words will help him start talking: “Take my hand if you are afraid. That way I can know that you want to tell me something.”

Find the best time

It is best to start a conversation about what really worries a person at the moment when he is most likely to be ready to talk: for example, during a car ride, at dinner or before bed.

Show interest

Be sure to find out the child’s attitude to such news, events. What thoughts are on his mind now? What emotions does he experience at the same time? How does he deal with such information? Will this case affect the child’s attitude to himself, to others, to school, to adults? Does he want to talk about something else?

Don’t avoid important topics

Conversation may not be easy, but by discussing difficult events in age-appropriate language, the child may feel more secure and feel that the parent is responding and accepting. Try not to interrupt, let the child express his ideas and emotions before you express yourself.

Build a sense of security

It is important to convey to children that the adults around them do their best to keep their environment—school, home, and neighborhood—safe. Remind them that you are there and are responsible for their safety, comfort and support.

Share information about the possibility of obtaining psychological assistance – for example, from a school psychologist, if possible, or through remote forms of psychological assistance. For example, a helpline for children, teenagers and their parents 8-800-2000-122.

Set a pattern of behavior

Pay attention to yourself and your reactions. Be a role model for your children on how to deal with traumatic events. Be aware that children can hear your conversations. Also, the behavior of children may change due to your reaction to the event.

Show care

Communicate regularly with children, observing how they cope with their experiences. It may not be enough to take an interest in the child’s thoughts and feelings about the school shooting situation once: after some time, he may rethink the events, which will lead him to new conclusions and a new attitude to the situation.

Limit access to news

Parents should also monitor how much information a child receives about traumatic events. Research has shown that some young children may believe that events are repeating themselves every time they see a television replay of a news recording.

Ask for help

Parents, teachers and school administrators should also communicate with each other not only about how to keep children safe, but also about which children may need extra attention: talking with a class teacher or consulting an educational psychologist. Contact a psychologist yourself if you think that his consultation will help in your situation.

First Aid for Your Child and Yourself

If both you and your child witness abuse, the first thing to do is to stabilize your own emotional state. Here are the recommendations UNICEF experts give.

1. You can relieve tension by doing special exercises. Here is one of them: alternately strain to the limit and relax all muscle groups, while trying to feel warm during relaxation. If a tremor appears in the body, do not try to calm it down. On the contrary, strengthen it – shake your arms and legs, as if shaking off water from them. After a few minutes, you will feel more relaxed and calm.

2. If possible, drink water and assume a comfortable, stable posture: sit, lean against the back of a chair, place your feet flat on the ground with your whole foot. You can quickly calm down with the help of breathing techniques. Inhale deeply through your nose, engaging your diaphragm (called “belly breathing”), and exhale slowly through your mouth. The exhalation time should be approximately twice as long as the inhalation time.

3. You may need to share your feelings with someone. In this case, make sure that the child does not accidentally hear about your fears and experiences when you tell other people about them.

4. Immediately after you have calmed down yourself, take the child to a safe place and calm him down.

5. Maintain physical contact with the child – hug, sit on your knees. Assure him that you and other adults will not leave him and protect him, that the danger has passed and nothing bad will happen to him. Do not get tired of explaining that everything is over, that there is no danger now. Make sure your child hears and understands you.

6. Recognize the child’s feelings, give him the opportunity to express them in any way – cry, show aggression, be sad, freeze. Explain that when terrible things happen, people get very upset, and that this is completely normal. Anyone can fall into rage, sadness or despair. You have to wait a bit for it to get easier.

7. Clear information about what is happening, expressed in a form understandable to him, will help reduce the level of anxiety and stabilize the child’s condition. After each phrase, watch his reaction and patiently answer questions, even if they seem stupid or repeated many times. Avoid details that can scare.

8. Emphasize overall cohesion and strength. Say that what happened is terrible and that you and other adults will do everything to ensure that this does not happen again and people live in a safer world. For example: “Many adults are now doing everything together for our safety and are ready to protect us.

The return to normal life will be gradual.

If the child reflects a traumatic event they witnessed in games or drawings, try to include positive elements in them. This may be, for example, the appearance of a superhero so that the baby feels safe.

Emphasize that you have handled the situation, that the child is strong and brave like a superhero, that you are now safe. Offer to draw another picture – the victory of good over evil.

If he has nightmares, explain the difference between dream and reality, say that this sometimes happens after a difficult event, but then it will pass. After sleep, a new day comes, where there is no danger.

Do not allow anyone to shame or criticize the child when he is afraid, crying, or he has regressive phenomena: urinary incontinence, desire to sit with you in an embrace. Most likely, this is temporary and will soon come to naught.

In the first weeks after an injury, try to keep your child away from things that may trigger unpleasant memories. At the same time, try to have more positive communication with friends and relatives in your child’s life.

Such a child: Mom’s experience with a special baby

What to do if your child is not like others? If he doesn’t speak like that, think wrong, sleep wrong, and generally behave differently than “should be”? If different diagnoses come into your head: from hyperactivity and attention deficit to the most terrible. And instead of a diagnosis, experts simply shrug their shoulders: “Well, what do you want, such a child …”.
Olga Morozova, a special psychologist and mother of a son with special needs, helps parents understand the situation and take action. Olga shares proven exercises for the development of special children and gives advice on how to stand up to others, endure their sympathy and misunderstanding, and most importantly, keep love in a family with an unusual baby.

Brief history

According to Alexei Ilyin, the founder and CEO of Alpina, by the end of the nineties he found himself a financier without a job (a situation, frankly, not so rare) and at 19In the 98th year, together with Alexander Limansky and Ilya Dolgopolsky, he decided to give way to his hobby, namely, the publication of books. And so the Alpina was born. In the early years, the publishing activity of Alpina Publisher concentrated on the release of business literature (in 2003, the editorial office was even renamed Alpina Business Books, and a year earlier it won the title of Best Business Publishing House).

Ilyin and his colleagues were keenly aware of the reader’s interest tendencies. Therefore, by 2008, having noted at foreign book fairs the pronounced interest of people in pop-science and non-fiction literature, they decided to create Alpina non-fiction, a publishing branch of Alpina, whose general director was Pavel Podkosov, who worked in a publishing house since the mid-2000s. For Russia, this was something new – and something really long-awaited and important. By 2015, the country experienced a real boom in non-fiction on a variety of topics – from religious studies to biology and neurophysiology – not least because of the publications of Alpina Non-Fiction. And at the end of 2020, Podkosov oversaw the formation of a new Alpina segment called Alpina. Prose, produced by Tatyana Solovieva. As the name implies, the focus has shifted to fiction (new authors and works, or new translations of classics already familiar to everyone, foreign and domestic). The start of the new imprint was marked by the reprinting of Alexei Ivanov’s works and a new translation of Orwell’s anti-utopia “1984″.

The growing interest in children’s literature was one of the reasons for the appearance of the imprint “Alpina. Children”, where the colors are very bright, and the information content is at the highest level. “Alpina. Digital” is engaged in the formation of electronic libraries for its customers and electronic books. The most remarkable thing is that all of the above areas are developing in parallel and without prejudice to each other, bringing the once “pocket business” of the publishing house to new heights of reader gratitude.

Book Series

The Alpina Origins business series continues to be popular with readers, ranging from classics such as Benjamin Graham’s The Intelligent Investor and Mark Tangate’s Worldwide History of Advertising to current research dedicated, for example, to individual successful brands or business digitalization.

“Alpina non-fiction” began with a collection of essays by Eduard Limonov “Children of the Glamorous Land” and Karen Armstrong’s religious opus “The Story of God”. One of the main achievements of Alpina was the acquaintance of the Russian-speaking reader with the books of Michio Kaku, a physicist and popularizer of science. His Physics of the Impossible, released in 2009th year, became a mega hit and set the trend for pop-science literature. In this direction, the publishing house is trying to cover almost all areas of life and literature – here are important books on psychology and medicine, works on cultural studies and sociology, there are even theater studies and books on screenwriting, disturbing and relevant texts by Mikhail Zygar and uncompromising works by Mikhail Labkovsky.

Alpina. Prose tries to maintain a balance between proven classics and new names, each of which, like Pepperstein or Polarinov, can make a splash. But republished authors of the past, like Franz Kafka or Eduard Limonov, to whom the personalized series is dedicated, make a furore no less.
