Stevie, Logan, Tatum, and Eden are no longer predictable. Last names are first names, traditionally boy names are up for grabs for girls, and naming babies has never been quite this fun and free.
Avery
Avery is one of the most-Googled baby names, along with the search terms “non-binary baby names.” A variation on the Old English name Alfred – which sweetly means “elf counsel,” Avery is ranked #19 for baby girls on the Social Security baby name list in 2020, and #212 for boys. Once upon a time, it was the other way around – not even showing on top-1,000 lists for girls’ names until 1989. Not so coincidentally, this was the same time the TV drama, Murphy Brown, was holding the nation’s attention. Clearly, this fabulous name has been permanently borrowed from the boys’ name list. Alternative “A” names: Arlo and Andee.
Bentley
Bentley may be the name of a luxury car brand, but this distinctive name, borrowed from an Old English surname, is more forest than street. Broken down, it means “grassy wood clearing” –-beonet means “bent grass,” and leah means “wood clearing.” With a bit of poetic license, it’s often translated as “from the moor.” This decidedly gender-neutral name with the modern ring to it cracked the top 1,000 on the Social Security list in 2007 and has gathered momentum ever since, thanks in part to Bentley Edwards of Teen Mom fame. Alternative “B” names: Bay, Billie, Brooklyn.
Collins
Collins is an auspicious surname, popular in Ireland and Scotland, that has recently been borrowed by parents in search of a cool and sophisticated gender-neutral given name for their daughters. With prominent bearers of the name such as Judy Collins, Joan Collins, actress Lilly Collins (daughter of Brit rocker Phil, who played a character named Collins in the film, The Blind Side), and Irish hero Michael Collins to name a few, it’s hard to go wrong with this refreshing name that ends with a chic “s.” Alternative “C” names: Campbell, Charlie, Clay
Dallas
Dallas was, surprisingly, a Scottish surname meaning “meadow dwelling” long before it became a place name; it is best known as the name of a popular city in Texas. Yet it’s been used as a given name for boys since 1880, when baby name data was first tracked. But this country-meets-city name was also used for girls as far back as 1910. Dallas peaked in unisex popularity in the nineties, long after the hit TV series Dallas aired, and before it made a comeback. Bryce Dallas Howard, daughter of actor and director Ron Howard (Richie Cunningham from Happy Days), is the best-known bearer of this name. Alternative “D” name: Drew
Echo
Echo is a character from Greek mythology with a great story: A mountain nymph who drew the ire of Goddess Hera, Echo earned punishment that involved the loss of her voice – aside from the ability to repeat the last word of each sentence said to her. As a given name, Echo has a shorter history, only cracking 1,000 on the BabyCenter list in 1983 and 1984. Why? The band Echo and the Bunnymen and the daytime TV drama One Life to Live character, Echo DiSavoy, most likely had something to do with that. As a girls’ name, this wonder of nature name has risen substantially (500 spots) in just a year, and this might be attributed to the simple fact that it ends with an “o.” Alternative “E” names: Eden, Ever, Emerson, and Evian.
Frankie
Frankie is a nickname for a once common given name that has been borrowed if not claimed by parents looking for a less gender-constrained name. Stemming from Franciscus/Francisco – meaning Frenchman – Francis (Frank) was a man’s name, while Frances was used as the feminine version. The fact that Frankie is now more popular as a girls’ name on the Social Security list speaks volumes. This playful, artsy name has much going for it, including its “ie” ending. Alternative “F” names: Finley, and Freddie.
Gael
Gael is Latin for a “Gaelic person.” It’s also a variation of the name Gail, which is a short form of the biblical name Abigail. Hayden currently ranks #166 for boys, and #275 for girls. Alternatives: Hadley, Harlow, Harper, and Holden.
Indigo
Indigo is a deeply colorful name, describing a hue somewhere between purple and blue. It comes from the Greek word for “from India,” which is where the coveted plant-based dye came from. But it’s likely hard for many National Public Radio addicts not to think of Kai Ryssdal, charismatic host of the show Marketplace, when they hear this name. And Gerda and Kai are the main characters of Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tale The Snow Queen, upon which Disney’s Frozen was loosely based. Alternate “K” names: Kalani and Kendall.
Lennon
Lennon only popped up on the radar as a given name in 2008. Originally an Irish surname – John Lennon; Sophie Lennon from The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel – as a first name, it’s got a vowel to consonant balance thing going on that is pleasing to both the eye and the ear. It means “lover” in Gaelic, and it’s on the rise on BabyCenter’s baby name list – making it one to snatch up before trendiness steps in and renders it boring. Alternate “L” names: Lennox, Lyric and Logan.
Monroe
Monroe is another name for a river in Ireland. In Scotland, spelled “Munro,” it means a hill – specifically, a mountain that is more than 3,000 feet high. This all-about-nature English surname has grown in popularity, significantly for females over the past decade. It didn’t appear on the girls’ name list until 1996 – and now surpasses boys’ names, most probably related to the birth of 2001 Monroe Cannon, daughter of Mariah Carey. Alternate “M” names: Milo, Marlow, and Morgan.
Nova
Nova has a strong, twinkling ring to it; it kind of looks and feels vintage but is oh so… well, new! (New, the English translation, is also gaining traction in the unisex baby name world.) Peyton originates from an old English place name. Scandalous in its time, Peyton Place is a notorious 1950s novel, turned film, turned soap opera. Notable bearers of this name are Payton Sawyer of One Tree Hill, Peyton List, a prolific American actress, and American football phenomenon Peyton Manning. Alternate “P” names: Paige and Pax.
Quinn
Quinn is an Irish surname (meaning son of the chief) that has long since been snatched up by parents of girls. Long before Quinn Fabray, the cheerleading captain from TV series Glee, came Bob Dylan’s “The Mighty Quinn.” Both preppy and hip, this name is still commonly used for boys. Its allure stems from the one-syllable as well as its unusual first letter. Alternate “Q” name: Quincy.
Remy
Remy is a family name that means “oarsman” or “rower.” (Fittingly, there’s a Remy River in Quebec, Canada.) Of French origin, the first known instance of the name comes from St. Remigius, the Bishop of Reims. More recently, it’s the name of Pixar’s beloved Rat from the film Ratatouille. This cool, worldly-sounding name has been widely borrowed as a given name. Sometimes a nickname for Remington, a rising unisex name, it can also be spelled Remi. Looking at Social Security baby name rankings, Remy is well on its way to being equally used for boys and girls. Alternate “R” names: Reagan, Rain, and Rowan.
Stevie
Stevie is one of the sneakier unisex names to slip into the limelight. Other than Stevie Wonder and singer-songwriter Stevie Nicks – who set the bar for bangs in the ’70s – Stevies, male or female, were few and far between. Along came the viral TikTok video featuring the Fleetwood Mac song Dreams, and suddenly Stevie is the number one rising name on the BabyCenter baby name charts. But another Stevie – Stevie Budd, the fictional front desk clerk on CBC’s Schitt’s Creek –could also have played a role in this name’s rising popularity. Alternate “S” names: Sasha, Sky and Skyler.
Tatum
Tatum has no definitive meaning. It’s said to derive from an old English surname, via an Old English given name, but it’s always had a certain allure thanks to youngest Academy Award-winning actress in history: Tatum O’Neal. Dare we mention Channing Tatum of Magic Mike fame (named People Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive in 2012), who could be behind the current popularity of this name with boys? As non-binary as they come, the name is equally popular for boys as for girls on the BabyCenter name list. Alternate “T” names: Tobin and Tyler.
Unique
Unique busted into the Social Security top 1,000 baby names in 2001, but has since dropped out. That doesn’t mean it isn’t a great name – particularly for an only child, as it means “only one.” While not as popular as Dominique and Monique, this one-of-a-kind name is on the rise on the BabyCenter baby names list for girls. Alternate “U” names: Uri and Uriah.
Valor
Valor is a virtue name, via the Latin word value, meaning “bravery” or “courage.” It’s hard to go wrong by giving this meaningful name to your future hero baby, with the built-in nickname of Val, and it also has a gentle but strong ring to it. This four-letter moniker is perfectly gender-neutral and has the added benefit of ending in the ever-popular letter “a.” Inexplicably, Xola rose nearly 2,000 places on the BabyCenter baby name list between 2020 and 2021. This may be attributed to the power of the X-factor. Alternate “X” name: Xanthe
Yael
Yael is unexpectedly popular. A Hebrew name meaning “mountain goat,” it was borne by a biblical heroine and only first appeared in the top 1,000 Social Security names in 2013. The Rise Of Androgynous & Unisex Names
Poet Rachel Rostad once wrote in ‘Names’, “When you name your daughter / it’s a prayer for everything you want her to be. ” So a name isn’t just a name, it carries all of the hopes and dreams you have for your baby girl.
For example, naming your daughter Bella means that you hope your daughter one day lives up to her name, which means beautiful. Choosing a popular character’s name, like Leia or Hermione, is you expressing your wish that she grows up to be just like them – strong, smart, and confident.
Today, we’re going to talk about epicene names. Epicene names don’t have a strict gender distinction; they can work for both masculine and feminine-presenting people. Giving your child a gender-neutral name is you telling your child, “I will give you room to explore your gender identity in the future, no matter what you decide.”

The rise of gender equality and gender fluidity has made epicene names a lot more common today, as parents are trying to impose fewer gender restrictions and expectations on their kids than before. Using boy names that are also cute for a girl is just one way of doing so; you can also allow them to wear both masculine and feminine clothes, or allow them to play with both masculine and feminine toys.
And, as a parent, that’s one of the best gifts you can give your children – the freedom to be who they are, your unconditional love and support regardless of their identity, and respect for the decisions they make about their own person-hood.

100 Gender Neutral Names – The Most Popular Unisex Baby Names
When it comes to baby names, there’s usually one question that starts off the search: Are you looking for a boy name or a girl name?
Increasingly, though, the question doesn’t matter. The Social Security Administration (SSA), which keeps data about the most popular baby names, still separates the name list by boys and girls. But parents, it seems, are less and less likely to adhere to conventions about which names belong to which column.
And that’s not just a feeling: The website Quartz found an overall decrease in gendered American names since 1920. At the same time, interest in gender-neutral and unisex names is increasing. According to research done by Nameberry and the New York Times, which looked back at 100 years of baby names, there was an 88% increase in the use of unisex names between 1985 and 2015.
If you’re one of the parents interested in the popular or unique gender-neutral baby names, you can find some inspiration below. Some are common for everyone; others are traditionally associated with one gender but are increasingly flipping to the other one. But they’re all beautiful, and unlikely to leave with you with baby-name regret.
These Names Are Split Equally Between Boys and Girls
Nameberry, a baby-naming site that tracks user interest in baby names, took a look at the most recent data and found what they call “nonbinary names,” or names that are used (roughly) the same number of times for boys and girls. These truly unisex names include these monikers.
- Arden
- Bellamy
- Briar
- Brighton
- Callaway
- Cove
- Cypress
- Ever
- Halston
- Hollis
- Honor
- Jupiter
- Kingsley
- Kit
- Landry
- Lexington
- Lux
- Merritt
- Ocean
- Revel
- Rory
- Salem
- Sol
- Timber
- True
Many of these, like Ocean, Sol, Cypress and Cove, are nature-inspired names, a baby-naming trend that’s gaining steam across the board.

These Gender-Neutral Baby Names Are on the Rise
When BabyCenter looked at its own users, it also found a strong interest in gender-neutral names. It saw an increase in lookups for these unisex monikers: Stevie, Lennon, Charleigh, Remington and Logan. And while those are names that have had history of being both boy and girl names, BabyCenter has also seen a recent trend of names that flipped from one side to the other: Tatum, Finley, and Eden are increasing for boys, according to the site, and names like Sterling and George popped up on girls’ lists.
These Names Have Become Less Gendered Over Time
Like the names that flipped from blue to pink, Quartz has analyzed a few names that have become more and more gender-neutral over the past 100 or so years: Alexis, Blake, Dylan, Parker and Spencer among them. They may have started off being associated with either boys or girls, but over time, the other side has managed to even the score. (Interestingly, the names Ashton and Harper have become more gendered over time.) Other popular unisex names Quartz has observed include Skylar, Azariah, Royal, Hayden, Emerson, Rowan, Baylor, Dakota, River, Emory and Phoenix.
These Are the Most Unisex Names — and the Most Flip-Flopped Names — In American History
Data scientist Nathan Yau analyzed SSA charts going back decades, and found names that kept the unisex 50-50 split for years, even decades. He also notes the times that a moment in pop-culture history — such as Disney using the name Ariel for the protagonist in The Little Mermaid — tipped the scales one way or another. According to Yau, these are the most typically unisex names:
- Jessie
- Marion
- Jackie
- Alva
- Ollie
- Jodie
- Cleo
- Kerry
- Frankie
- Guadalupe
- Carey
- Tommie
- Angel
- Sammie
- Jamie
- Kris
- Robbie
- Tracy
- Merrill
- Noel
- Rene
- Johnnie
- Ariel
- Jan
Those are names that have been used pretty evenly for both boys and girls. Yau also notes the names that have switched the most, ping-ponging back and forth between being used by mostly girls, then mostly boys, and vice-versa. The most toggled names are:
- Casey
- Jackie
- Kerry
- Jodie
- Finley
- Skylar
- Justice
- Rene
- Darian
- Frankie
- Oakley
- Robbie
- Remy
- Milan
- Jaylin

- Armani

fashionable and beautiful baby names, the meanings of which scare parents, and found out that everything is not so scary. Therefore, if you want to name your daughter Varvara, and your son Arthur, let’s discard prejudices (especially since they are very controversial), and go ahead. Today, the editors of Wday.ru have collected names whose meaning is “luck” and “happiness”. Let’s see who’s the happiest here.
The name is of Greek origin and means “blessed”, “happy”. Pretty cute Makar sounds in diminutive versions: Makarka, Makarik, Makash, Makaresh. In ancient times, this name was very popular, but since the October Revolution of 1917, it has completely disappeared from use. Only recently, with the fashion for old-fashioned names, newborns have again begun to be called Makars.
Slavic name that seems to speak for itself – “joyful”, “cheerful”, “happy”. Also Rada (or Radusya and Radochka) can be a shortened version of such names as Radislava, Radoslava, Radmira, Radana.
This name was first mentioned in the Bible (this was the name of the youngest son of Jacob and Rachel) and is translated as “son of my right hand” or “happy son”. In Europe and America, Benjamin will be called Benjamin or Benjamin. And in Russia at home – just Venya.
Few people know that the Greek name Euphrosyne also means “joy”, “fun”, and also “benevolent”. With this alignment, it seems that little Frosya (this is exactly what this name sounds like in a diminutive version) has every chance to grow up as an optimistic and wise girl.
Don’t think we’re wrong. Tikhon actually has nothing to do with the word “quiet”. The name came to us from Byzantium and, as they say, came from the name of the ancient Greek goddess of luck Tyukhe and, accordingly, means “luck” or “fate”. In the days of ancient Russia, boys from ordinary families were called Tishami, but then the name became especially popular among monks.
The name is rooted in Baltic mythology, that was the name of the goddess of happiness and good luck, who patronized couples in love. In our country, girls began to be called Limes thanks to the singer from Latvia, Laima Vaikule.
A Greek name that has several translations. According to one of them, Arkady means “happiness” or “happy country”. According to others – “shepherd” and “inhabitant of Arcadia.” At the same time, in Kievan Rus, this name was given to boys with the meaning “brave”. There are also many diminutive variants of Arcadia. The most common are Arkasha, Adik, Arik, Arya, Adya and Arkadyushka.
Many in our country think that Zita is an Indian name. Which is not surprising. One has only to remember the film “Zita and Gita”, which was especially popular in Soviet times. However, according to one version, this name also has Latin roots with the meaning “happy.” In general, you can safely call your daughter Zita. Moreover, her diminutive version is incredibly touching – Zizi.
It has a Latin origin and as many as five interpretations of the meaning. But they are all incredibly good. So, according to the first version, Felix is translated as “happy”, “prosperous”, “auspicious”, “bringing happiness”, according to the second – “fertile”, according to the third – “blessed”, according to the fourth – “rich” and, finally, according to the fifth is “pleasant. ” With such a characteristic, little Felya (or Elya) can become a very successful person.
This name is quite rare in Russia. But in the West it is very common. Only in different countries it sounds differently: in the USA – Latisha, in Scotland – Ledicia, in Spain, Italy and France – Leticia. At the same time, historians believe that the name first appeared in the Roman epic – that was the name of the goddess of happiness and good luck. Nowadays, the most famous bearer of this name is the supermodel and actress Laetitia Casta.
Naming a child by a name that is interpreted as happy or lucky is, of course, an excellent start, but still it is not a guarantee of this very happiness. Parents can also do something for their child. For example, learn and apply the three-minute rule, which everyone who has children should know.
Psychologist Alex Roitblat explained how to properly hug and listen to a child so that after three minutes he would be absolutely happy and satisfied, and so every day.
The fact is that many adults have a habit of inserting irrelevant remarks into the story of relatives, friends or colleagues. At the same time, part of the story flies in one ear and immediately flies out the other. In the rule of the first three minutes, such a skill is superfluous. Learn to actively listen to the child, delving into everything that he says, remembering the key points. By the way, you can return to them a couple of days later, recalling what you were talking about. So children understand that they are really heard, and not just assent out of politeness. The main thing is not to interrupt the child in mid-sentence, do not start arguing, proving that he is wrong.
Just listen carefully for the first three minutes: boys and girls take on average that much time to talk about the events of the day. And after that, feel free to ask questions. Show the child the right direction so that he can correct what happened due to his fault. Or rejoice for his small victories.
The experts also shared 7 simple phrases that will help your child grow up successful. Sometimes it’s enough just to join the child’s experiences and say that you, too, are sad, scared and embarrassed. And the baby blossoms, because if mom or dad also feels this way, it means that he is not alone.

Choosing a name for a boy |
Among the actual modern trends in the choice of names, one can name the fashion for Old Slavonic, international, short and even made-up names. But do not forget: the name for the born child should be pleasing to his ear, perhaps even be melodic, and his sound and meaning should not set off the child himself with his originality and sonority. It is also important how each syllable in the name combines and complements each other.

Beautiful male names for boys
Most often, the choice of beautiful names is done by the parents of girls, but the parents of boys are also not inferior to them in this matter and are looking for beautiful male names for their sons.
Boys’ names reflect various qualities that parents would like to see in their child. And modern boy names provide parents with a wider choice than even 50 years ago. Many modern names have developed variations in pronunciation, spelling, each of which carries its own message and adds something unique to the name. This is how the names are transformed – Maximus, Maxim, and then Max. Each of the names is used, they are all variations of the same name, but modernity selects and leaves only what suits it best.

Beautiful names for girls
Parents choose a name for a girl more reverently than for a boy. But among the ancient Romans, it was generally not customary to give women personal names; they bore either a generic name or a husband’s cognomen. In ancient Greece, it was the norm to come up with a completely new, unique name for a girl.
In any case, parents try to give their babies the most euphonious names, although this, of course, is very subjective. Someone is crazy on behalf of Aelita, someone is crazy about how Khavronya sounds. Sometimes parents are guided by rules, rituals or traditions, and in some family, for example, the name Faina is passed on from generation to generation.
It has become fashionable to give girls beautiful rare names. Again you can meet Praskovya, Evdokia or Lada. Hearts are won by not very common, but still Orthodox names – Angelina, Veronica, Zoya.

Recently, we collected 10 trendy and beautiful baby names whose meanings scare parents, and found out that everything is not so scary. Therefore, if you want to name your daughter Varvara, and your son Arthur, let’s discard prejudices (especially since they are very controversial) and go ahead. Today, the editors of Wday.ru have collected names whose meaning is “luck” and “happiness”. Let’s see who’s the happiest here.
Makar
The name is of Greek origin and means “blessed”, “happy”. Pretty cute Makar sounds in diminutive versions: Makarka, Makarik, Makash, Makaresh. In ancient times, this name was very popular, but since the October Revolution 1917 years has completely gone out of use. Only recently, with the fashion for old-fashioned names, newborns have again begun to be called Makars.
Rada
A Slavic name that seems to speak for itself – “joyful”, “cheerful”, “happy”. Also Rada (or Radusya and Radochka) can be a shortened version of such names as Radislava, Radoslava, Radmira, Radana.
Benjamin
This name was first mentioned in the Bible (this was the name of the youngest son of Jacob and Rachel) and is translated as “son of my right hand” or “happy son”. In Europe and America, Benjamin will be called Benjamin or Benjamin. And in Russia at home – just Venya.
Euphrosyne
Few people know that the Greek name Euphrosyne also means “joy”, “fun”, and also “good-minded”. With this alignment, it seems that little Frosya (this is exactly what this name sounds like in a diminutive version) has every chance to grow up as an optimistic and wise girl.
Tikhon
Don’t think we’re wrong. Tikhon actually has nothing to do with the word “quiet”. The name came to us from Byzantium and, as they say, came from the name of the ancient Greek goddess of luck Tyukhe and, accordingly, means “luck” or “fate”. In the times of Ancient Russia, boys from ordinary families were called Tishami, but then the name became especially popular among monks.
Laima
The name is rooted in Baltic mythology, that was the name of the goddess of happiness and good luck, who patronized couples in love. In our country, girls began to be called Limes thanks to the singer from Latvia, Laima Vaikule.
Arkady
A Greek name that has several translations. According to one of them, Arkady means “happiness” or “happy country”. According to others – “shepherd” and “inhabitant of Arcadia.” At the same time, in Kievan Rus, this name was given to boys with the meaning “brave”. There are also many diminutive variants of Arcadia. The most common are Arkasha, Adik, Arik, Arya, Adya and Arkadyushka.
Zita
Many in our country think that Zita is an Indian name. Which is not surprising. One has only to remember the film “Zita and Gita”, which was especially popular in Soviet times. However, according to one version, this name also has Latin roots with the meaning “happy.” In general, you can safely call your daughter Zita. Moreover, her diminutive version is incredibly touching – Zizi.
Felix
Has a Latin origin and as many as five interpretations of the meaning. But they are all incredibly good. So, according to the first version, Felix is translated as “happy”, “prosperous”, “auspicious”, “bringing happiness”, according to the second – “fertile”, according to the third – “blessed”, according to the fourth – “rich”, and finally according to the fifth – “pleasant”. With such a characteristic, little Felya (or Elya) can become a very successful person.
Letizia
In Russia, this name is quite rare.
Experts answer how to make a child happy
Just listen carefully for the first three minutes: it takes boys and girls, on average, just that much time to talk about the events of the day. And after that, feel free to ask questions. Show the child the right direction so that he can correct what happened due to his fault. Or rejoice for his small victories.
Sometimes it’s enough just to join the child’s feelings and say that you, too, are sad, scared and embarrassed. And the baby blossoms, because if mom or dad also feels this way, it means that he is not alone.

GTA in Rybinsk: traffic police inspectors opened fire on the car of a drunk driver
The chase ended in luck for the police.
On the evening of September 10, in Rybinsk, a drunk driver was driving a Renault Logan. The traffic police squad tried to stop the 35-year-old man, but he ignored the demands of the police. The driver of the passenger car continued to drive, while violating the rules and the speed limit.
The policeman fired a warning shot into the air – the driver was not embarrassed, and he continued to move. Then the police officer shot at the wheels of the foreign car, after which it still stopped.
“I had to go, it was impossible to stop categorically,” the man answered during interrogation.
It was established that the driver was under the influence of alcohol.
In relation to the driver, the traffic police drew up three protocols – “failure to comply with the requirement to stop the vehicle”, “for driving while intoxicated” and “disobedience to the lawful order of a police officer”.

A kind of Indian summer: sunny weather will peep into the Yaroslavl region
True, not for long.
The abnormally cold weather in the first ten days of September seemed to take us to October. Almost everywhere in Central Russia temperatures are below normal. However, before the weekend, there was finally hope for warming.
On Friday night, the influence of the Scandinavian anticyclone increased in the center of Russia. As a result, in the morning, in some places, the air cooled to a little more than zero. In the afternoon, the clouds gradually dissipated and the thermometers timidly crept up. Precipitation is not expected until the end of the day, while the air will warm up to a maximum of +13.
The anticyclone will intensify over the coming weekend. Precipitation is still not predicted, and the temperature will rise to +14…+16. The nights, however, will be very cold – no warmer than +5 degrees.
Of course, there can be no talk of any Indian summer. Rather, we are waiting for some kind of his likeness. The new week will also begin with dry, sunny and warm weather – on Monday and Tuesday it will warm up to +18, in some places in the region up to +20. And then cyclonic activity will intensify, the probability of rain will increase, it will get colder, and September will again plunge us into autumn.

The start date of the heating season in Yaroslavl has become known
The resolution has already been signed by the head of the city.
The heating season in Yaroslavl starts on September 8. The corresponding resolution was signed on September 7 by the acting mayor of the city Ilya Motovilov.
As usual, the inclusion will be phased. First, heat will come to social facilities. Then – to apartments, shops, offices and enterprises. Over the next few days, specialists from management companies will be debugging systems. They promise to complete the connection of the housing stock next week.
– On the eve of the winter period, the entire housing stock was checked, the systems were washed and pressure tested, – said Ilya Motovilov.
In case of any problems with heating at the City Hall, residents were advised to contact the Unified Dispatch Service of Housing and Utilities by calling 40-40-40.
Recall that earlier the head of the region Mikhail Evraev announced the need to start the heating season earlier than usual. This year, the start will turn out to be a record early — the authorities decided to start supplying heat due to the hopelessly unfavorable weather forecast.

Warm and slushy: weather forecasters gave a preliminary forecast for autumn and winter
But the abnormally cold September will leave us without the usual Indian summer.
On the first day of September, the weather seemed to step from a hot and sultry summer into a dank and cold October, sharply dropping the temperature by more than half. Throughout the first week of September, the weather is more typical of October, and so far it is not even necessary to count on any special improvements. Meanwhile, the first long-term forecasts for the entire coming autumn and even winter have already appeared.
Unfortunately, September is unlikely to please with good weather. Specialists of the Phobos Center confirm that autumn came a month ahead of schedule. During September, several Arctic intrusions are expected, due to which the average temperature will turn out to be below normal. And the constant streams of cold air will not allow a full-fledged Indian summer to begin. Cold weather will be periodically accompanied by rains and winds.
In October, temperature indicators will return to normal and even slightly exceed it. However, one should not hope for stable sunny weather here either. There will be no less rain, the rainfall plan may even be overfulfilled.
Surprisingly, in November, an anomaly awaits us again. Only now it’s positive. Rain, sleet and short gray days – this is how you can characterize this period. The total excess of the norm is expected by about two to three degrees.
December is also expected to be abnormally warm. Constant warm and humid air masses will not allow winter to take control in time. One can only hope that the snow will still have time to cover the ground by the New Year.
The whole winter, according to preliminary estimates, is expected to be two to three degrees warmer than the climate parameters, but without a shortage of precipitation. This means that warm and slushy days await us in abundance.
