When the girl panicked, Fred hit her and she lost consciousness. Caroline woke up already in the basement of the Wests, where she was kept for about a day, raped and beaten. It is noteworthy that after all these atrocities, the West couple offered the girl to stay with them as a nanny. Actually, Roberts agreed and ran away at the first opportunity. Most likely, the “secret” life of the West would have been revealed if Caroline had found the strength to come to the court session. But the case fell apart. nine0006

And three months after the trial, the West couple killed Linda Gough. According to some reports, Linda either rented a room from the Wests, or worked as a nanny for them … But she definitely lived with the Wests for some time, which her mother knew about. Rosemary placed a table on Heather’s grave so that the family could gather in the garden for a barbecue. It was the children’s stories of threats to “be buried like Heather”, as well as the ever-changing testimony of the Wests, that later became the basis for excavations in the garden.

Hell ended in 1992. Fred raped his thirteen-year-old daughter (name not given). And after several similar acts, the girl shared with a friend, who, in turn, told her mother.
