2. The Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens
Was there on Halloween. A lot of screaming children, entertainment, horror stories, and all this surrounded by wild burning eyes. Very atmospheric. Husband loved it, but I’m not a fan of cages or animals in them

Museum of Art and Gardens
The gallery presents paintings by artists from the USA and Europe, the collection is constantly updated, there is also a collection of porcelain, a museum of science and history. Surrounded by manicured gardens sloping down to the water

Awesome zoo!
When I ended up in this zoo, I was happy as a child! Animals at arm’s length sometimes! And feeding the giraffes! And there is no feeling that the animals are bad there! Huge zoo! You have to go all day. Of course, it is better to stock up on something edible from home, because it seemed to me that the food at the zoo was fast food.

Informative, but not atmospheric
A very interesting place, but too well maintained. Because of this, the atmosphere of a slave plantation is slightly lost. From almost all the dwellings of the slaves, only the skeletons remained, the building for meetings was well preserved, it is also a church. nine0475 You can see the outside and look inside the house of the owners.
Very beautiful park, access to the water.
Interesting information on slavery: how slaves were transported, how they were kept, etc.
For example, it was a discovery for me that when Florida belonged to the Spaniards, whites and blacks were equal (almost, at least, blacks were not slaves), and with the arrival of the British / Americans, everything changed for the worse. I also didn’t know that in Africa the Negroes themselves caught their fellows and sold them to slave traders (((Review of: Kingsley Plantation

perfect! rime to make photos). I also made some yoga there-increadible!) We were there without bicycles but it is also perfect place to make a small trip by bikes close to the beach(sometimes right on the beach!!!!!)Isn’t is great! ?))) nine0475 (We were there in October, so all the people were already resting on the Gulf of Mexico, and this beautiful wild beach was completely empty! There were strong waves and a rather cool ocean, but the time spent there was remembered for a very long time) You can relax and do yoga, like having a picnic. Quiet, beautiful place. You can also ride bikes along the coast, there is a special “track” .. It’s wonderful!

Huge shopping mall
Collected in one place a huge variety of shops and restaurants, ranging from chains like “Target” to exclusive boutiques. Prices – for any wallet, depending on what you need. In terms of time … I think that you can spend the whole day. Taxi fare from Jacksonville ~ 35$

Amazing!
For me, the ocean is a living soul! Before I got to the ocean, I saw it in a dream. And it was extremely surprising and incomprehensible that I saw my dream in reality! In a dream, it smelled exactly like on the ocean! nine0003
