A child from 2 years and 6 months to 3 years: what should he be able to do?
- At this age, the child should already be able to introduce himself, know his name, and answer the question “what is your name”.
- A nearly three-year-old child needs to know the names of body parts and simple objects in his immediate environment – a chair, a mug, a bed, a ball, etc.
- A three-year-old child already knows about 1000 words, from which he must make short sentences – “I want to drink”, “give me a ball”, etc. The task of parents is to encourage the child to speak as much as possible. For example, when walking down the street, a child needs to point to various objects and say their name – a car, a bird, a cat, a tree.
- Able to climb stairs, placing feet alternately, descend stairs step by step.
