interdisciplinary scientific seminar on the history of mutual perception of cultures
Dear Colleagues,
In light of the current epidemiological situation, the annual Round Table “Russia and the World” – 2021 will be postponed to a later time.
On February 4, 2020, the XXVII Annual All-Russian Round Table “Russia and the World” took place. The subtitle is “Culture and mentality of the Others in the history of Modern and Contemporary times”. The program and abstracts of presentations are posted here.
Until February 1, the opportunity to participate in the publication of the collection under the heading of the Institute of Russian History of the Russian Academy of Sciences is open. We hope to release the collection in 2020. The volume of the article is from 0.5 to 1 p.p. (optimally 0.7 pp) No restrictions on topics – of course, within the framework of the general topics of the seminar. Footnotes are automatic, at the bottom of the page.

Dear friends!
On February 5, 2019, the XXVI round table “Russia and the world” was held. The widest range of issues was proposed for discussion in the context of studying the history of relationships, self-identification and mutual perception of domestic and foreign. We have chosen as the subtitle of the round table: “Russia and the World: Personal Impressions”.
We present to your attention the abstracts and texts of the participants’ articles: Abstracts of the XXVI round table.
We also bring to your attention the Program of the round table.
Dear colleagues!
We bring to your attention information about the XXIV Round Table held in 2017:

For information about the past XXV Roundtable see here: Reports
The interdisciplinary scientific seminar on the history of mutual perception of cultures “Russia and the world through each other’s eyes” began its work in 1994 on the basis of the Center for the Study of National Culture of the Institute of Russian History of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
During this time, 25 “round tables” were held, at which scientists from different cities and countries reported on their research in the field of education, on the theoretical foundations of studying the history of mutual perception and on particular examples. In total, more than 150 scientists from Italy, Russia, Ukraine, Finland, and France are members of the seminar.
During the workshop, six collections of articles “Russia and the world through each other’s eyes” were published.

A distinctive feature of poetry from other forms of art is the mediation of its impact on the listener. Simply put, poetry implies not one or two, but several – sometimes up to a hundred artistic plans in the narratives unfolding to it. This possibility is due to the structure of the poetic word, since poetry is the highest form of development of any language. This week we remember the birthday poets of the week of July from 3 to 9numbers:
