In referecne to the above rating, the writer is not reporting all the correct facts concerning how a flex pass operates. Flex passes are used for care needed once in awhile. They are sold at a reduced rate and therefore a family may not continue purchasing them for a schedule that is consistant of 2 or 3 days a week. If that was the case, all enrolled familes would continue to do that because it is a saving of $55 per day. They are again intended for a family that may need care once in a while and 5 days is good for 1 year. A family will call in advance and if there is room in the classroom on the day care is needed, then they are more that welcome to attend. This family apparently saw the saving from the flex pass and when the child was attending on a regular basis was not willing to enroll at the rate of tuition. How fair is that to the families that are royal to the program?
My suggestion to any families interested in purchasing a flex pass is please get all the correct information. They work great for my family.

06/01/2016

We signed up for the flex pass (5 days, use as you wish, inform them 48 hr prior) which fit my ever changing schedule. I informed the director that I would try a couple and then we would see if we should enroll my lo full time. After a couple passes we decided that it was working well for us and we would stick with it. The director apparently did not like that so after my lo did not go for 1.5 weeks (we informed them beforehand) she told us she didn’t think we were coming back and now they don’t have room because the class is full. I called the corporate office but the regional director called once left a message and did not return my 6 or so calls after that. We paid for 5 days up front on the last card and we still have days left but they won’t return my calls to refund my money. I won’t be taking my child back there anyway. My lo came home with a rash around the mouth everyday (looks like they didn’t wipe their mouths after they eat) and was even placed in another room one day without us knowing where a child subsequently bit my lo. VERY POORLY RUN!

        Rendezvous with Archimedes

where the great Archimedes lived, worked and ended his days. This is really a wonderful place, I can’t even believe that many centuries ago the feet of this great man walked on this earth. It’s so exciting. And what a beautiful cathedral on Orchid, there are simply no words. I advise everyone to visit this wonderful city, the island.

        Sicilian beach idyll

We lived nearby in a hospitable mini-hotel with the owner Giampaolo. Just 3 minutes walk down the street – and you find yourself in a beach paradise. It is clean and very comfortable here: soft white sand, clear and calm water, a gentle entrance, a sandy bottom without stones. No one bites or eats (that’s the joy after Southeast Asia). In a word, a beach idyll. In the Sicilian manner, a lot of people come for the weekend, families, couples, companies of interest, everything is noisy and humming. The music is loud until 2am. Fun hits hard on the head and makes it difficult to sleep. Something like this.

        Jasmine Beach

In general, the place itself is wonderful. Beautiful bay, closed on both sides by picturesque cliffs. Due to the excellent location, there is almost no wind, so the water seems to be cleaner than in other places around Syracuse. There is no wind, no waves, the sand lies. Again, due to the lack of wind and waves, there is always a feeling that it is warmer here than on the large beaches in the area. The bottom is very flat and there are no stones, so even slippers from sea urchins are not required. If you walk along the beach, then on the stones there will be such small shells, no more than 1 cm. Locals consider them a delicacy; a sandwich with such shells costs from 7 euros in a restaurant. And since they are eaten raw, and if you have something spicy with you, you can try the local delicacy. The place according to my description turned out to be an idyll. And his name is very beautiful. But are there any shortcomings here? Yes, otherwise I would not put 3. The territory is a private area. Thanks to the owner for allowing all residents of the city and tourists to use it. And you don’t have to pay to use it. But you have to pay for parking. In winter 10 euros, from May 12 euros. So I don’t recommend visiting in March, as I read in the reviews here, there are the same beautiful places for free relaxation. Especially in March, when on the beaches, only a lone athlete is jogging. Leaving the car a little earlier and coming on foot (they don’t take money for such an entrance) is also not very convenient, since you will have to leave very, very far, there is simply nowhere closer, a narrow road. If you come here on bicycles, then there will also be free admission, but you will have to lie next to the bicycles piled up in a mountain and there is nothing to fasten them to. We go to this beach because parking is free for groups with limited mobility, and if our friends go to sunbathe with their daughter (she is from such a group), then we go with them. In other cases, I would not recommend this beach, although it is very close to the city. In principle, 10-12 euros is not expensive for a beach in northern Italy. But you need to understand what they charge you for a deck chair or for cleanliness. And there are no sun loungers, and there is no such cleanliness. I mean sand. In May, there are a lot of dry sticks on the coastal strip, by September a certain amount of waste from rest accumulates – bottles and bags. If the beach in Sicily is municipal, then it is cleaned by city services. If paid, then those who rent the beach monitor the cleanliness. And this beach turns out to be neither such nor such. And, by the way, or inopportunely, but the fact is that there are no showers and toilets, as it is written in another review.
Only those who have a country house nearby and can come here on foot or on bicycles have a rest here. Well, I got such a review – a paradise place (on a scale of 5 I put 6 :-)), but think about whether you are ready to go here when there are many other beautiful places nearby without these disadvantages.

        Impressive and beautiful

The Duomo on Ortigia is the main cathedral of Syracuse. He is stunningly handsome. Inexpensively, it is included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The cathedral is dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary. It is built on the ruins of the ancient Greek temple of Athena. During the period of Arab domination, the cathedral was used as a mosque. The uniqueness of this cathedral is that it still keeps the remains of an ancient temple, mosque, baroque and Doric style. He is beautiful!

        Grotto “Ear of Dionysius”

The beautiful name of the grotto was given, as they say, by the great Caravaggio. The grotto is over 60 meters long, about 40 meters high, and about 10 meters wide. It was probably once part of a quarry. It is believed that the ancient tyrant liked to spend time here, settling in a special room where every word spoken in a whisper in the cave was heard, thanks to its unique acoustic properties. There is a version that the cave improved the acoustic properties of the Greek theater located on the opposite side of the mountain. Tourists test the acoustic properties of the grotto by exclaiming and singing songs.

        New Year’s holiday

We decided to definitely visit this building, as the Greek connection with it was interesting. 10€ admission per adult and free for anyone under 18. Unfortunately, if at such a cost of entry, I would like that when visiting the toilets there would not be a feeling of “I’d rather be patient”. In the men’s toilet in all the stalls, the water in the toilets was on the edge and did not go away.
The building itself is admirable. It was very interesting to watch the video at the entrance about how it looked in those days.
From the top there is a stunning view of the coast.

So, we again rested in the Parco Marino del Plemmirio area. This is a relatively well-maintained area around the entire peninsula, the main advantage of which is natural beauties of various kinds. Access points to the sea among the numerous villas are indicated by the corresponding numbers on the signs. Look for a detailed scheme on the park’s website, otherwise it will be difficult to get to the water. There are sandy beaches, such as points 34 and 35, Fanusa beach 1-10 (did not like it). There are rocky beaches where diving and snorkeling are ideal (points 27 and 25 are the best). At some points (for example, 23, 27 there is a paid beach service). There is enough parking everywhere. Search the site through a search engine, it is not correct here.

I recommend this park!!!! The guide told everything very exciting, all the exhibits can be touched and used. We were with a child of 5 and 10. Both children were delighted with this park. At the end of the walk through the park, you can use virtual reality to fight with the weapons of Archimedes with the ancient Romans and sink their ships. The owners of this park met us very cordially, just wonderful people!

        A mysterious story.

We love to visit antiquities, especially caves, catacombs, dungeons. Visits only with a guided tour, conducted in Italian and English, you can’t take pictures, I don’t understand why, because the deceased themselves, how can you not meet here in Palermo !? Well, you can’t! The tour is held every hour, it is not expensive. The atmosphere is not as oppressive as in Palermo, you can visit with children, they say St. Paul himself served there. I recommend to fans.

Worth it! And above all, breathtaking panoramas of the sea and surroundings. . (Like, in general, Syracuse in general.)
        Definitely worth a visit.
        Asking price only 4€.
It’s better to come to the opening – to 9.
You can walk through all levels of the fortress.
The main building is also open to the public. This is a huge hall in a knightly style. Under restoration, without interiors.
The last restoration was carried out and, as far as I understand, partly continues since 2011.
There is a small treasury. There are items of table utensils from different eras. Interesting. The style can be traced from the Arabs, through the Normans to the Italians.

        Really overrated.
Perhaps I just saw too many necropolises and dozens of theaters and amphitheaters before. .
Yes, you can for a general idea of Syracuse. But you have to keep in mind, these are just stones..
Only the “ear of Dionysius” more or less, yes.
Came during the period of modern performances in the theater. That is why the native steps were under the boards. This is their tradition – every year this happens in July/August.
It will take a maximum of an hour to visit..
Almost half of the park is closed to visitors.
