    Employment of women. Kindergartens

    Title: Women’s employment. Kindergartens

    Interviewer: Irina Denisovna Krasnova

    How does a woman’s job affect her family and raising children?

    Is it worth sending children to kindergarten and why?

    Modern women often want to be “excellent students” both in the profession and in the family. They are ready to work actively, make a career and at the same time devote a lot of time to children. This leads to “double employment”: women are forced to give all their best both at work and at home.

    Such an “energy-consuming” way of life frightens young Russian women. As a result, they postpone childbearing until the moment when work becomes less important for them. For women employed in the civil service, motherhood is shifted for a very indefinite period.

    Society is extremely demanding of women. On the one hand, the “onslaught” is led by employers. They demand full dedication in the profession. And this “rhymes” with the cult of career and ambition, established in society.

    On the other hand, women are actively “educated” by childhood experts (psychologists, pediatricians, educators, media, etc.). They complicate and detail the standards of “correct” parenting. With their submission, motherhood actually turns into a profession, which has its own set of competencies and involves training.

    At the same time, women themselves are quite exacting towards themselves and towards life. They want to take place in a variety of areas: in work, in the family, to have a hobby.

    “Who else but a woman should do all household chores? And if you just stay at home and don’t go to work, her social circle will be limited… You definitely need to be able to combine work and home.” – Elena Rinadovna Aliakberova, higher education, Chief Accountant of UTK LLC.

    Many people try to “reconcile” different areas, to find some kind of balance.

    In most cases, women with children combine family and work. About 70% believe that they are doing it successfully, that is, they have achieved a certain balance. The proportion of mothers who prefer the role of exclusively housewives does not exceed 20%. The share of “careerists” with children does not even reach 10%.

    Nowadays, women want to be successful in everything. To be a first-class mother, to be the keeper of the hearth, in my opinion, this can already be considered a titanic work. But besides this, women also try to give their best at work, perhaps it will seem surprising to someone, but often, even with a child, women work more efficiently than men. For many, it is difficult to combine both, there is simply not enough time, and here another question arises – “Is it worth sending the child to kindergarten?”

    Of course, not all parents have the opportunity to fully engage in raising a child after the age of three on their own. But today, more and more families refuse to have their child go to kindergarten. What caused such a decision and is it beneficial for your own children?

    Reasons to keep your child at home as long as possible include:

    — children get sick more often in kindergartens, why send a child to a kindergarten, if it doesn’t matter, almost half the time he will get sick at home, and this means money and time for his treatment.

    — caregivers do not take care of children in kindergartens, and the child will get much more at home, from communicating with his mother;

    – in the garden the child will be fed with food that he is not used to, and this, again, is a prerequisite for illness;

    – in kindergarten the child will contact with the circle of people with whom his parents would not like.

    It must be admitted that the given examples of the reasons why parents consider kindergarten as evil do exist. However, with all this, one should not demonize and exaggerate the negative aspects that preschool-type children’s institutions carry. Nevertheless, there is much more positive in them, you just need to be able to see it.

    The main function of a kindergarten, and by and large, a school and a university, is to teach a person how to build social ties with other people.

    Children’s behavior in the presence of their parents is different from the behavior that children show when they are not around. Yes, and in more adult life, mom and dad will not be around, and accordingly, sooner or later the child will have to learn to independently build their social relationships. And the sooner this happens, the better, in any case, failures will be experienced less painfully, and the experience gained in early childhood will positively affect the social abilities of the child in the future.

    This main goal of teaching a child social skills is served by institutions such as kindergartens and the positives of this far outweigh the negatives that some parents see. Yes, and these disadvantages are very conditional:

    – indeed, children in kindergarten get sick more often than those who do not go to it. But for the formation of a capable immunity, it is better when a child suffers from childhood diseases in childhood. Do you know that adults endure chickenpox much more difficult than children? The fact that a child gets sick with these diseases in kindergarten, in my opinion, is more a plus than a minus.

    As for the prejudice that a child will receive more education at home than in kindergarten, this is partly true. But education implies the implementation of certain skills and qualities in society. Therefore, if you decide not to send your child to kindergarten, you should consider how the child will interact with society other than parents and immediate family. In addition, no one said that attending a kindergarten cancels the need for parents to raise their own children. On the contrary, together you can give much more than one.

    The desire to protect your child from unnecessary contacts and provide him with only the usual food is like fighting windmills. Parents from the earliest age of their child should understand who and why they are raising.

    The essence of education lies in the fact that in the end we must get an independent, happy and responsible person who will not be afraid of the outside world than visiting a kindergarten is difficult to imagine.

    – “Of course, we should send our children to kindergarten. Kindergarten is a preparatory stage for schooling. In kindergarten, children develop their creative abilities, learn to exist in a team. ”- E.V. Burmistrova, Associate Professor, Department of Organizational Management, P.A. Stolypin – branch of the RANEPA

    What is the best decision to make, you will discuss this yourself, but I sincerely hope that my note will help you with this.

    Aleksandra works as a kindergarten teacher, she is the mother of three boys. Despite being busy, she always finds time for creativity and favorite activities. During her maternity leave, Alexandra completed confectionery courses and took up baking, and began using chocolate to decorate cakes.

    “It took some time to get the desired consistency. Each type of chocolate has its own tempering rules. Professional confectionery chocolate must be melted at a certain temperature, cocoa butter is added, then cooled, heated again. And if you follow all the rules, the chocolate will solidify correctly, will “keep” its shape and be safely stored at room temperature for up to six months,” explains Alexandra .

    Before the New Year, she pleased her family and friends with chocolate souvenirs. Then, in preparation for the Defender of the Fatherland Day, I decided to support our heroes with sweet gifts – the military personnel who are now on the front line.

    “I wanted to somehow please the soldiers. I understand that it is very difficult for them. I was told that something is always missing in the army. I decided that chocolate is one of the best ways to cheer up, morale. In addition, by my own example, I show the children that now it is very important to give good to others, ”the woman explains.

    Each bar of chocolate is carefully packaged and provided with a tag on which the confectioner wrote small congratulations to the servicemen for the holiday. This is not the end of the support for military personnel: now Alexandra, together with members of the Druzhba TOS, is mastering the manufacture of trench candles, which will then be transferred to the zone of a special military operation.
