Welcome to our 5-Star child care center and preschool in Greensboro, NC! We, Jolene Thorpe and Carolyn Pryor, are the co-directors and it is our pleasure to welcome you and your child into our fun learning environment.

We both take pride in the family atmosphere that we nurture and are very excited about the opportunity to watch your children grow with us! Our school strives to offer quality learning through fun activities and a structured curriculum focused on Science and Technology. Our family atmosphere encourages all of our parents to join us for activities in the classroom and the community. Building relationships with our children and families that will last a lifetime is very important to all of our teachers.
We pledge to educate your children in the many fields of science including botany, nature science, geology, and geography. The Crawlers watch birds at the bird feeder, the Threes dig for rocks for their Geology focus, and the pre-k classes are learning the states using the state song.
We have incorporated the Growing Up Wild curriculum. This offers a wide range of activities and experiences that provide a foundation for developing positive impressions about nature. Some fun things children have created include an insect habitat, wildlife sculptures, and clothespin grasshoppers. The curriculum also includes home connections that connect you to your child-s learning. In addition, your child will enjoy getting their hands dirty in our Garden of Knowledge. There, the children plant seeds and watch them grow into colorful and nutritious fruits and vegetables. Based on their observations, the children learn about colors, numbers, shapes and the life cycle of plants.
We have a Technology Room, fully equipped with loaded tablets to advance our children into the digital age. They will learn fascinating facts about computers, enhance their cognitive development, and explore technology through cool innovations, experimentation and discovery. In the Infant and Toddler rooms, we utilize electronic daily reports via email or text messages. We have also partnered with ABCmouse to help children learn to read through phonics, teaching lessons in math, social studies, art, music and much more. Computer time is limited; however the vast amount of knowledge they gain in such a short period of time is remarkable.
For our school age children, we offer After School care, pick up and drop off from schools, and homework help. During the summer months, your child can be a part of our Adventure Summer Camp when learning really gets fun and adventurous. Our activities follow several themes including Under the Sea, Wacky Wild Science, Under the Big Top and Creepy Crawlers.
