A child’s earliest years are all about relationships. Families and teachers that partner
together with a focus on supporting infants, toddlers and preschoolers in developing
trust and positive relationships help create a solid foundation toward future success.
The ECLC respects and values each family and strives to create an environment in which
the unique development of each infant and toddler is supported and celebrated.

The MCC ECLC Early Learning Program is designed to support responsive, thoughtful,
and intentional interactions between families, teachers, and children in order to
foster positive relationships.

Infant/Toddler Program

The ratio of adults to infants/toddlers is 1:3 with each infant/toddler assigned to
a “primary caregiver” in order to provide continuity of relationships and a close
bond with the child and family.

MCC Early Head Start Program

Mott EHS is a free program for 6 months to 3 year old children who qualify and is
funded by a grant awarded to Mott College by the Federal Government through GCCARD.

Preschool Program

The ratio of adults to preschoolers/prekindergarteners is 1:8. This academically and
socially rich program provides developmentally appropriate learning in a safe, positive,
nurturing environment; promoting social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth
with creativity and language development.

Prekindergarten Program

GSRP is a free or reduced cost prekindergarten program for 4 year old children who
qualify and is funded by a grant awarded to Mott College by the State of Michigan.

Rooms

Infants (ages 6months to 12 months)

The ECLC Infant classroom offers an early learning program for children who are 6-12
months old.


Young Toddler (ages 6months to 12 months)

The ECLC Young Toddler classroom offers an early learning program for children who
are 13 – 23 months old.


Older Toddler (ages 24-months to 35-months)

The ECLC Older Toddler classroom offers an early learning program for children who
are 24 – 35 months old.


Preschool (ages 3-5 years old)

The ECLC Preschool classroom offers early learning programming for children who are
3-5 years old.


Prekindergarten Program (4 year olds)

The Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) is a free or reduced-cost prekindergarten
program for qualifying children who will be four years old on or before September
1st of the current school year. GSRP is funded through the State of Michigan


Before & After Care

The ECLC offers care before and after the GSRP school day. Child care funding may
be available for MCC students.

  • MCCSC offers early childhood education programs for children ages six weeks through five-years-old at two state-licensed, PTQ Level-3 child care centers: the Early Learning Center and Hoosier Hills Childcare Center.

      Our programs are committed to providing high-quality, family-oriented, and inclusive early learning experiences for all children. We provide an educational and nurturing environment for children which encourages:

Justification – Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 404 (adopted in Riga on July 16, 2013 (protocol No. 40 § 21) “Requirements for persons providing childcare services and the procedure for registering persons providing childcare services”, issued pursuant to paragraph 4 of Article 50.3 of the Law on the Protection of Children’s Rights, which defines the requirements for professional qualifications and provides for the registration of childcare services and service providers in the Register of Providers of Childcare Services.

The purpose of the educational program: to develop and improve the knowledge and skills of trainees who provide childcare services. To provide professional skills in childcare from infants to preschool age, child safety, mental and physical health, feeding, development and upbringing of children in accordance with the goals and requirements chosen by parents.

Since 2009, the UCP administration has been actively working on the organization and implementation of public-private partnerships (PPP) in order to modernize the education system. In 2013, our experience was presented at the Interregional Seminar organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, the Institute for Strategic Studies in Education, the Russian Academy of Education, the Committee on Education of St. Petersburg and the St. Petersburg Academy of Postgraduate Education.

Specialists of our institution take part in international conferences and seminars, give lectures at the leading institutes of the Russian Academy of Education in St. Petersburg and Moscow.

We promote our innovative developments to the international market: we cooperated with the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Latvia.

In 2010, at the invitation of the Swiss Association of Russian Compatriots, we presented our experience in Bern at the 5th Scientific and Practical Pedagogical Conference.

A representative of the administration of the PRESSTO Training Center was a member of the FAS Russia’s expert council for supporting small and medium-sized businesses.

In 2015 and 2021, our institution won the competition established by the Education Committee for individual entrepreneurs and legal entities providing preschool educational services and services for the care and supervision of children aged 0 to 7 years in St. Petersburg.

In 2016 and 2019, the experience of the PRESSTO Training Center was presented at the round tables of the XIV and XVII Forums of small and medium-sized businesses in St. Petersburg.

Since 2016, our institution has been actively involved in the development of private education in the Public Council for the Development of Entrepreneurship under the Governor of St. Petersburg.

In 2021, a program of psychological and pedagogical support for families of children with dyslexia, dysgraphia and severe underdevelopment of oral speech was successfully implemented and a conclusion was received on the proper implementation of projects that provide for the implementation of activities in one or more priority areas in the provision of public services using grants of the President of the Russian Federation provided for the development of civil society.
