AMERICA’S MOST ACCREDITED

We’re so proud!

Nationally only 10% of daycares are accredited – nearly 100% of our learning centers are. That’s a big difference,
and that means KinderCare kids are getting the very best. Here’s why.

SCHOOL-READY

What Learning Looks Like

Our talented early-childhood teachers set kids down the path toward becoming lifelong learners in a positive, safe, and nurturing environment.

Surprise KinderCare Programs

Infant Programs (6 weeks–1 year)

Leaving your baby in someone else’s care is a big step. Everyone at our
centers—most importantly, our naturally gifted infant teachers—will work with
you to make sure the transition goes smoothly. When you step into our infant
classroom, you’ll see how much we want your infant to feel safe, loved, and
ready to explore their world.

Toddler Programs (1–2 Years)

Everything in our toddler classroom is designed for little explorers. That’s
because a lot is going on at this age. When your child is wandering all over the
place, that means they’re learning and discovering new things every day. We’ll
help them explore their interests (and find new ones!) as they play and learn.

Discovery Preschool Programs (2–3 Years)

This age is filled with so much wonder and curiosity. That’s why we offer a ton
of books and toys and bring artwork down to kids eye level. Children in
discovery preschool also begin to learn how we all work together in a
classroom. Simple math and science, pretend play, and group play help them
get used to a more structured school setting.

Preschool Programs (3–4 Years)

This age is all about expression, when kids really start to form their own ideas
about what they want to play and how they want to create. Every day in our
preschool classroom, your child will explore science experiments, create
artwork, and play pretend—all the skills needed for their big next step:
kindergarten!

Prekindergarten Programs (4–5 Years)

When you walk into one of our pre-K classrooms, you’ll see artwork and
writing displayed around the room. Labels are everywhere to help kids connect
letters with words. You’ll also see pictures on the walls that reflect the families
in our community. Your child will also deepen their knowledge in language,
math, science, Spanish, and social skills.

Participating Child Care Aware Center

KinderCare partners with Child Care Aware® of America to offer fee assistance for
Active Duty military families and flexible support to fit their needs when care at a Child
Development Center on the installation is not available.

Learning Adventures – Enrichment Program

Cooking Academy™ (3 – 12 Years)

In Cooking Academy, kids learn new recipes from cultures around the world and
develop a healthy relationship with food. They’ll whip up everything from Southwest
rainbow lettuce wraps to pumpkin muffins, building their skills in STEM, communication,
and more along the way. And yes—little chefs get to eat their culinary creations!

Phonics Adventures® (2 – 4 Years)

Learning how to read is a whole lot of fun at KinderCare! We help kids grow to love
books and words (and get ready for kindergarten) in our Phonics Adventures program.
From discovering the basics of vowels to practicing poetry, kids learn all about letters
and sounds in small-group lessons made just for their age group. (Bonus: Kids who
attend our phonics program are more prepared than their peers for school—and we
have the data to prove it.)

Spanish

Spanish Adventures provides young learners with a foundation for later success with
the Spanish language. Music, games, children’s Spanish literature, and other tools give
children multiple opportunities to hear, practice, and see Spanish language to develop
vocabulary and conversation skills. Curriculum includes lessons on greetings, numbers,
colors, animals, family, body parts, and pets, as well as how to engage conversationally
during common scenarios at home, a restaurant, or at the zoo.

Our Teachers

We’re the only company in early childhood education to select teachers based on natural talent. Being a great educator isn’t enough though.
KinderCare teachers are also amazing listeners, nurturers, boo-boo fixers, and smile-makers. Put more simply,
we love our teachers and your child will, too.

Meet just a few of our amazing KinderCare teachers!

A KINDERCARE TEACHER WITH

An Artist’s Heart

“My classroom is full of art!” says Mary Annthipie-Bane, an award-winning early childhood educator at KinderCare. Art and creative expression, she says, help children discover who they really are.

We put our best-in-class teachers in a best-in-class workplace. We’re so proud to have been named one of Gallup’s 37 winners of the Great Workplace Award.
When you put great teachers in an engaging center, your children will experience
an amazing place to learn and grow.

Child Care FAQs

The national typical hourly rate in 2022 is $20. 00 per hour for nannies and $17.50 for babysitters. Rates can vary based on the child care provider’s experience, certifications, employment status, and travel expenses. When calculating the cost of child care, you should also account for the number of children they’ll care for and additional responsibilities like household tasks or homework help. Learn more about how to set competitive rates for attracting the best babysitters.

The best way to find child care near you is to post a job detailing your needs on Sittercity, which will be shared with our community of available babysitters and nannies. We’ll notify you when child care providers apply to your job, and from there you can proceed with interviews, background checks, and reference checks so you can find the perfect fit for your family.

You can find experienced and passionate child care providers near you to provide the best care for your child, either in-home or virtually. Child care providers can help families with managing strict schedules, transportation to activities, homework help, last-minute coverage, date nights, and more. Whether you’re looking for full-time, part-time, live-in, or temporary care, you can count on Sittercity for finding passionate and experienced child care providers.

Families find trustworthy child care providers on Sittercity who are passionate about providing safe and enriching care for their children. Many providers report they are First Aid and CPR certified to provide the best care for your family. Babysitters and nannies have the option to complete regular background checks, and you can easily request a recent background check if they don’t have one or it is not recent. Families can also request to see professional references!

Our dedicated team also champions safety across our platform every day. Child care providers go through an identity verification process Berbix when registering an account. Some additional safety measures include Family Watchdog screening, babysitter and nanny reviews, and secure messaging.

Nannies and babysitters share the same primary responsibility of providing safe and enriching care for your child, but there are a few differences between them. Nannies are more commonly associated with regular work, whether full or part-time, offering daily or consistent care to a particular family. There are also several different types of nannies, including au pairs, house managers, doulas, live-in, and overnight nannies.

Babysitters, on the other hand, are typically hired for irregular or occasional work, either full or part-time. If you’re looking for last-minute care for date night, or the occasional few hours after school, a babysitter is a great best option.

Identifying the type and frequency of child care you’ll need is the best way to decide whether a babysitter or nanny is a better fit for your family.

Child care providers on Sittercity love providing enriching experiences for your children, and sharing their passions with them. They’re happy to participate in outdoor activities like sports, or indoor activities like music, baking, tutoring help, and art. Wherever your child’s interests lie, child care providers on Sittercity can engage them in a nurturing way.

What a surprise – you will have a baby!

Four years ago, Cynthia Millsaps found out she wasn’t pregnant at all – even though she didn’t plan on it. She and her husband already had three children, the youngest of whom was 9 years old.

“The way we talk about having a daughter is that it’s ‘the best thing that could happen,'” says Millsaps, 44, from the US state of Georgia. also because by that time we had already managed to get rid of all the children’s things that we had.

Unplanned pregnancies occur more often than you might think. In the US, about 37% of pregnancies are unexpected, according to the National Center for Health Statistics. In Brazil, there are 30% of them. And in Australia unplanned – almost half.

A child is a huge financial obligation. According to the British insurance company Liverpool Victoria, the maintenance of a child under 21 costs the average Briton about 222 thousand pounds (almost 377 thousand US dollars). In the United States, according to the Department of Agriculture, a child from birth to 18 years old will have to spend $241,080.

This may well require more work and less saving for the future. “An unplanned baby can really disrupt your life plans,” says Brett Evans, CEO of Atlas Wealth Management in Southport, Australia.

How to cope with the difficulties brought by the addition to the family?

Unplanned pregnancies are more common than anyone thinks

What you need

An unexpected baby requires good communication between you and your partner, support from friends and family, and budget cuts. “Start tracking your spending before your baby arrives,” says BabyCentre UK editor Sarah Redshaw. “Think about where you can save money. Maybe cut out unnecessary spending like pay-TV subscriptions or opt for more modest mobile plans.”

How long does it take to prepare? You have time until your baby’s due date – although some babies are born prematurely, so it’s not worth waiting until the last. “Try to save as much money as possible to compensate for the subsequent decline in income,” advises Brett Evans.

What is it

The main story of the day, as our journalists explain

Issues

End of the podcast

Discuss finances. Parents of an unborn child “need to sit down and have a serious talk about financial matters,” says Carmen Wong Ulrich, founder and president of New York-based ALTA Wealth Management. “Assess your current situation before you panic about the future.”

For example, will one of the parents have to leave work for a while or even quit? How much paid maternity leave are you entitled to? Do men in the company where you work give parental leave? “The biggest expenses are related to kindergarten or babysitting, and this is compounded by the lack of wages,” explains Ulrich. It may take some time to get back to work.” Consider part-time work or freelance work to earn extra money and stay in your line of work.

Plan your next steps. “Think about more than just diapers,” says Ulrich. “Will you have to move? If so, what goals would you like to achieve with this move? You can stay where you are for the first year and then move when the baby is older.” Do you need to buy a new car to put in another child seat? Did either of you plan to start your own business or return to work after a break? “Change doesn’t have to be sudden,” says Ulrich. “Talk, think, come up with different options (Plan A, Plan B), ask friends and other family members for advice.”

You can save a lot on baby clothes by trading with other parents and using classifieds sites that often sell near-new clothes. Tell everyone that you need baby clothes in good condition. “It’s important to let people know you need something, even if you already have kids,” says Brian Frederick, financial planner at Stillwater Financial Planners in Arizona, U.S. that you already have everything you need.” Use classifieds sites to find lightly used items such as Craigslist and Gumtree. There are also inexpensive options on eBay.

Think before you spend. Many mothers-to-be “spend quite a bit of money on a pre-birth party (in Brazil, for example), hoping to get it back in the form of beautiful gifts and lots of diapers. They end up disappointed that there are few guests and the gifts are not worth it,” says the editor Fernanda Ravagnani’s BabyCenter site in Brazil, “I think you can do without this party, and spend the money saved on the most necessary things for the child.

What to do later

Start saving money. “If you’re planning to help your child get into college, it’s a good idea to start saving as early as possible,” says Chad Crevelling, managing director and advisor to Creveling & Creveling Private Wealth Advisory in Bangkok, Thailand. for waiting too long for the right moment.”

Prenatal visits are a popular but not practical tradition

However, you shouldn’t save for higher education at the expense of other necessary savings. “Your role as a parent can be likened to the foundation of a big house,” says Ulrich. “If you don’t build your position by saving enough money to be financially stable, your future could crumble.”

Review your pension plan. “Usually one waits until the youngest child finishes school and then retires,” explains Frederic. In the US, this usually means an additional 22 years of work, so it makes sense to adjust your plans accordingly.

And do it all without panic

“The most important thing for me is to be flexible,” says Frederic. Take a deep breath and come up with a new plan.”

Perfect planning is never possible, says Dian Rai, editor of the BabyCenter India website: “Even if expectant mothers perceive the situation negatively, don’t worry too much. We must strive to remain optimistic – problems will be resolved sooner or later.”

German dads go on maternity leave

Study and career

Caring for children is a woman’s business. Employers with this attitude still exist in Germany. However, the number of fathers taking maternity leave is gradually increasing.

“Maternity leave for men? We don’t practice this. And if one of our employees suddenly petitions for this, we will immediately terminate the contract with him,” the boss said bluntly to Björn R., who was preparing to become a father, when he asked about the possibility of going on a two-month parental leave in order to help his wife at first.

In Germany, men, like women, can take up to three years of maternity leave. Child care allowance (65-67 percent of salary) is paid throughout the year. If both partners decide to take such a vacation, then two more months are added to this period. Newly made mothers and fathers have the right to go on maternity leave both at the same time and in turn – at their discretion and regardless of whether the second partner works or not. But far from all fathers decide to use this right – they are too afraid for their workplace.

If the boss woke up the beast

The fact is that in Germany, fathers, unlike mothers, are not protected by law from the very beginning of their wife’s pregnancy. For dads-to-be, the unfair dismissal protection only comes into effect eight weeks before the baby’s due date. An application for leave must be submitted no later than seven weeks before departure. That is, if a man wants to go on maternity leave immediately after the birth of the baby and at the same time not be at risk of losing his job, he has only a week to apply.

As a rule, the authorities do not like this, because an employee who is going on a long vacation needs to find a replacement in a short time. And in order not to wake the beast in the boss, men who want to take maternity leave prefer to notify the employer of their intention in advance, and then they receive a notice of dismissal. Such cases are not uncommon.

Photo: picture-alliance/dpa

But even if the future father’s application for parental leave is granted, upon his return from maternity leave, he may expect a very unpleasant surprise – a demotion. In Germany, the employer has such a right: he is not obliged to provide the parent who has returned from a long vacation with the same job.

The most “advanced” – the Saxons

According to a representative survey conducted by the Hamburg public association Väter (“Fathers”), the proportion of men aged 25 to 45 who dream of caring for their babies from birth is Germany 88 percent. What is the real picture?

The information published by the Federal Statistical Office in Wiesbaden provides an answer to this question. According to the data presented, cases of fathers taking maternity leave and receiving child support are most common in East German Saxony. Among the representatives of the stronger sex, who had children in 2014, their share was 44 percent there. In second place is Bavaria (41.7 percent).

A total of 933,000 mothers and fathers received benefits in Germany for their children born in 2014. Moreover, in more than every third case, the request for benefits was submitted by the father. Compared to the previous year, this figure increased by 2.2 percent.

The participation of men in the care of babies, although not too fast, is constantly growing. If in 2008 the father of every fifth newborn took advantage of this opportunity, then in 2010 the father of every fourth child born into the world took advantage of this opportunity.

On a national scale, relatively low figures in this regard are found in the South German state of Saarland. However, there is a positive trend here as well. Thus, from 2008 to the present, the proportion of fathers involved in the care of young children has almost doubled.

Before talking to your superiors

Child care allowance can also be received by foreigners employed in German companies. Be that as it may, men who are thinking about going on maternity leave and intending to talk about it with their boss should first prepare well – weigh the pros and cons together with their spouse and discuss the compromises that may have to be made in As a result of such a move, says Hans-Georg Nelles, consultant for family and career reconciliation, from Düsseldorf.

In addition, even before talking with the authorities, he advises to make inquiries about whether the company practices the provision of maternity leave for men, whether there are already precedents. It would be wise if you also seek advice from the Hamburg company Väter, the Berlin organization Väterzentrum or another similar authority, recommends Hans-Georg Nelles.

What a surprise to surprise a friend on her birthday, how unusual to surprise a friend

You want to surprise your beloved friend on her birthday with a truly touching surprise that will strengthen your friendship and cause a sincere smile on her face. Let you know this girl “to your fingertips”, it happens that gift ideas do not come to mind. In our article, we will tell you what a cool and unforgettable surprise you can make for your girlfriend on her birthday.

How to prepare a birthday surprise for a household friend

Diffuser for home

Aromatic oils will fill any room with fragrance and comfort. Typically, home fragrances are produced in the form of sprays with an automatic atomizer or diffusers where rattan sticks are inserted. Aesthetic packaging will allow you to use jars to decorate the interior.

Silk pajamas

Even at home, girls want to feel their attractiveness and uniqueness, so silk sleepwear is an original surprise to please a friend on her birthday. When choosing a print on pajamas, be guided by the tastes of the birthday girl: if a girl loves Teddy bears or unicorns, then sets with their image will make her glow with happiness. And for sophisticated ladies, a plain silk peignoir with shoulder straps is more suitable.

Wine Decanter

A decanter is a vessel that allows you to get rid of the natural sediment in the wine and saturates it with oxygen before serving. If a friend understands the art of tasting, such an unusual birthday present will never turn into an exclusive trinket gathering dust in the closet.

How to pleasantly surprise a friend who loves to take care of herself

Massage course

If you have no idea how to surprise your friend for her birthday, give her an impression gift – a certificate for going to a beauty salon or a massage course. Often, such complexes are complemented by a tea ceremony and aromatherapy, and the service can be ordered with the departure of the master at home. But be careful with the choice of procedure. For example, a subscription to an anti-cellulite massage may be perceived as an indication of a lack of figure, so opt for a general strengthening, Thai massage or facial treatments.

Beauty box with gouache scraper

If you don’t have time to go to the beautician, then the beauty box with popular self-care accessories will be a creative way out of the situation. Be sure to put a gouache scraper or a jade face roller in such a surprise box for your friend’s birthday – massage with their use improves microcirculation, reduces wrinkles and enhances collagen production.

Ultrasonic Skin Cleaner

If you definitely want to make your birthday girl happy with beauty gadgets, opt for ultrasonic care devices. Innovative technologies make cleaning and peeling safe even at home.

Creative birthday surprise ideas for a working friend

Bathroom table

After a hard day at work, you really want peace and relaxation: take a hot bath, light candles and spend an hour or two alone with yourself. We have an idea what an interesting birthday surprise for a friend will greatly expand the arsenal of activities in the bathroom! This is a table where you can put a glass of wine, a laptop, a book or a plate of fruit. The design with retractable handles delivers a minimum of hassle with storing such an accessory at home, and the lacquer coating protects against moisture.

Coffee machine

Every day of your friend starts with coffee rituals? Then you will make a pleasant surprise for her on her birthday if you present accessories for alternative ways of brewing coffee: Turku, geyser, pourover, chemex or aeropress. The birthday girl will discover new facets of the familiar drink and develop her barista talent.

Hydrogel patches

For many years, no one has advised applying cucumber slices to the area around the eyes, because the beauty world has unconditionally capitulated to patches! There is no doubt about the benefits of such a gift: a sleepless night with reports or an incendiary corporate party — hydrogel masks remove puffiness and dark circles in less than half an hour.

How to surprise an active lifestyle friend for her birthday

Fitness tracker

If your birthday girl is crazy about fitness, it’s easy to solve the problem with a gift – give her a fitness tracker for her birthday. Wristbands with a heart rate monitor help you track your heart rate during workouts, a pedometer will tell you the distance traveled while jogging and just add motivation to come to a workout to beat your record!

Fitball

Is playing sports for the hero of the occasion just a way to keep yourself in good shape? Then the option of an inexpensive, but practical birthday surprise for a friend is a fitball. This massage gymnastic ball can be used not only for exercises, but also for proper stretching.

Karting Club Certificate

If you are sure that your friend is a fan of risk and excitement, feel free to give her a go-kart ride. Moreover, the size of most cars and equipment is just designed for managers of small stature and elegant build.

Party in the loft

As an alternative to a material gift, you can “join the box office” with friends and throw a party in the loft for the hero of the occasion. It is enough to choose the theme of the holiday, the site, invite guests and have fun.

See which birthday lofts you can rent on our website.

How to surprise a friend who has recently become a mother

Baby monitor

Even when a young mother put her baby to bed, she continues to anxiously listen to every sound coming from the nursery. When choosing a birthday surprise for a friend with a baby, take a closer look at baby monitors with a microphone, monitor and video camera. With such a gadget, the mother’s heart will be calm for the child, and they will certainly say “thank you” to you.

Course of online lectures

Many girls use maternity leave for self-development: some are attracted by creativity, others by business, and still others by foreign languages. Support your friend’s useful initiative and please her with an online course. When choosing a program, it is better to proceed from the character of the birthday girl, her hobbies and talents. And on what services you can purchase such subscriptions – read our article.

Instant camera

Moms will definitely want to capture the first erupted tooth and independent steps of the baby.

Instant camera – a cool birthday surprise for a friend who recently had a baby. With such a camera, you do not need to spend valuable time developing the film: you just click the camera shutter and get the finished frame.

Teen Girl’s Birthday Surprise

LED Ring Light

Is your friend not yet 20? With a 99% chance, she has a TikTok account. It’s time to push her to start her blogging career and give her a ring lamp. Such a device significantly improves the quality of shooting due to the correct lighting and is usually already equipped with a tripod for the phone.

Turntable

The more technology advances, the more we become nostalgic for the past: we shoot on film, wear vintage and listen to vinyl. If you recognized your friend in this description, then give her a record player. Its design is reminiscent of good old retro chic, and inside it is a modern speaker system with great functionality and stereo speakers.

Board games

Friends play a huge role in a teenager’s life. And desktops are a great occasion to get together, test your erudition and attentiveness.

Anti-stress coloring book

An original birthday surprise that a friend will finish with her own hands is an anti-stress coloring book! Try to find out before the holiday if the birthday girl is a fan of some fandom, that is, the Universe of books, films, TV shows or video games, and surprise your friend with a limited thematic edition.

We wish you to find your perfect gift! And don’t forget about flowers, balloons and cute postcards – they create a magical holiday atmosphere.

Dowry for a baby – necessary things for a newborn

The birth of a new family member is not only a great joy, but also a challenge. Especially for parents who are expecting their first child. The baby is so small, but he needs so many things! Yes, a baby needs a lot of things, because not a single thing that is in your house will suit him. Give birth frequently

A newborn, like any person, needs such procedures as daily washing, hair and nails care, and many others. From the first days of life, hygiene procedures carried out every day not only create a feeling of comfort, but also help to get used to the environment, protect against possible infections. Therefore, it is important to prepare in advance all the necessary items for the care and hygiene of the child, such as a toothbrush for babies, a comb for babies, a children’s manicure set or special children’s nail scissors and much more.

Toothbrush for babies

Oral hygiene is essential from birth, before the first teeth appear. A special silicone toothbrush for newborns will help to gently wipe the gums after feeding, it can also be used as a massager. Safe silicone toothbrush for babies 6+ months helps to erupt first teeth and relieves gum pain. Specially designed for gentle care of the first teeth of a 12-36 month old baby, this toothbrush has soft bristles and a protective ring to prevent damage.

Baby combs for newborns and babies

Baby’s hair also needs to be taken care of. Combing prevents tangling of the hairs, removes crusts from the child’s scalp, and will have a stimulating effect on the hair follicles. Baby combs and brushes are made with soft bristles and rounded tips to protect your baby’s delicate scalp.

Children’s nail scissors

Often, newborns are born with long nails, and it is very difficult to cut them without special children’s scissors for newborns. For greater safety, the tips of these scissors are rounded so that you can accurately trim your child’s nails. There are specially designed for small fingers children’s tweezers with a plastic backing and special non-slip rubber at the bottom, as well as with a magnifying glass.

Buying your baby’s hygiene items online is a great alternative for anyone who plans their precious time. The assortment of our online store 220.lv presents the best products of such manufacturers of goods for babies and children as Tommee Tippee, Canpol, Chicco, BRITTON, Dreambaby®, NUK, Summer Infant, BabyOno. What is due to those who raise a child with a disability

Raising a child with a disability is not easy and expensive, but the financial burden can be slightly eased with the help of the state.

Author profile

This is what parents of children with disabilities are entitled to.

Cash payments

All disabled people are entitled to a social pension. Its size depends on the disability group. Disabled children are paid 12,432 R per month.

There is also monthly assistance – disabled children can receive 2701 R in 2019. However, the full amount will be paid only if the child’s family refuses free medicines, vouchers to sanatoriums and preferential travel on trains. If you want to use these benefits, then they will pay less per month – 1580 R. R. Only one adult can receive this payment: for this he must not work and have no other income – pension and unemployment benefits are also considered.

How to take a child into care

To ensure that a parent who has devoted most of his life to caring for a disabled child does not lose his right to a pension, he will be credited with seniority – 1. 8 pension points for each year.

Some regions have their own additional payments to parents of disabled children: in Moscow once a year you can receive 10,000 R for a school uniform, and every month – 12,000 R for care and 675 R as a compensation for the increase in the cost of food, if the child no three years. True, parents who already receive a regional payment will have to forego federal assistance.

Free medicines

Children with disabilities have the right to receive medicines prescribed by a doctor, necessary medical products, such as a scarifier needle or insulin auto-injector, and therapeutic meals free of charge.

In order for a pharmacy to provide drugs and devices, and a dairy kitchen to provide products, you need to obtain a special document – an individual program for the rehabilitation and habilitation of a disabled person (IPRA), which will determine the needs of the child. On its basis, the pediatrician will write a prescription for medicines and tell you which pharmacy will give them.

You are entitled to free medical health insurance tests

Necessary equipment

The program provides access to technical equipment: a wheelchair, a hearing aid or a TV with teletext, special clothing and footwear, hygiene products, and even a dog guide. The cost of maintaining a dog and repairing broken things is also covered by the state.

Some essential items may not be available for free, such as braille writing instruments or stairlifts. But it is not necessary to spend your own money on this: if the desired device is included in the list of goods intended for social adaptation and integration into the society of disabled children, it can be bought at the expense of maternity capital.

What state benefits are available to people with disabilities

Rehabilitation

A disabled child with special medical conditions can go to a sanatorium for treatment once a year free of charge. He and the accompanying person will be given vouchers for 21 days and will pay for travel by train and intercity transport.

In addition, prosthetics, restorative therapy and reconstructive surgery are provided free of charge with necessary medications if a child with a disability needs them.

Who is the doctor here?

Help with housing region or the roof of the house is leaking.

At the same time, a disabled person can claim a larger area than others in need, if his illness is included in the list of diseases that give the right to additional living meters. A family can be provided with living space twice the norm of housing per person. If they usually allocate 18 meters per person, then parents and a child with a special illness can be given a 100-meter apartment.

/kvartira-ot-gosudarstva/

Apartment from the state

They can give housing out of turn only if the family lives in the same apartment with another family, and the child has a disease that makes living with him impossible. Families with disabilities will also be given a land plot for building a house or gardening out of turn.

An apartment building in which a disabled person lives must be equipped with a ramp, and the steps must not be slippery. The apartment itself must also meet the needs of the disabled person. If this is not possible, the housing is declared unsuitable, and the disabled person may demand the provision of suitable housing.

Pay attention to regional programs: in Moscow, people with disabilities with musculoskeletal disorders will be provided with an apartment under a gratuitous use agreement, while others must pay for real estate under a social tenancy agreement. In the Ivanovo region, apartments are provided for families with disabled children.

Tax and utility benefits

Each of the parents of disabled children is entitled to a monthly tax deduction of 12,000 R. If a single parent or spouse refuses to raise a child from the deduction, the deduction will be paid in double size.

Families with disabled children are also entitled to benefits for housing and communal services: they can pay 50% less for water, electricity, maintenance of common property and payment for an apartment rented under a social contract. They do not give discounts for capital repairs, but they compensate up to 50% of this contribution.

What is a major overhaul

Special learning conditions

Kindergartens, preparatory departments of universities and bachelor and specialist studies are provided free of charge for disabled children.

If a child with a disability goes to school, special conditions should be created for him, and the program should be adapted in accordance with his IPR. If a child is unable to go to school, home schooling is organized free of charge.

It happens that the disease is not included in the list of diseases that allow you not to go to school, but it is still difficult to attend it. In such a situation, you can choose a family form of education.

Transport

Vehicles carrying children with disabilities and displaying a Disability sign may ignore traffic signs that prohibit parking. At least one free space for such cars must be allocated in each parking lot.

Children with disabilities and their companions have the right to travel free of charge on city and suburban public transport. In some regions, there are preferential taxis that carry disabled people at reduced rates.

Special working conditions

Parents of children with disabilities are entitled to four additional paid days off per month. They can be divided among themselves in any proportion.

One of the parents has the right to take a vacation at any convenient time. You can extend it for 14 days without pay – these additional days can also be taken at any convenient time, even added to the main vacation.
