MISD Childcare Programs offers a wide variety of childcare for students ages infant – 5th grade. Our programs include After-School, Holiday Care, Summer Enrichment, Infant and Toddler Care at Lawson, and Preschool Programs at MBHS, MHS and MNHS.

MISD Summer Enrichment Camps

McKinney ISD is excited to announce that we will offer summer enrichment camps this year, conducted by MISD teachers for children in kindergarten through 5th grade. A variety of camps will be offered for 5 weeks, June 6, 2022 – July 15, 2022 (closed the week of July 4th). You do not have to be a resident of McKinney or a student in McKinney ISD to attend camps.

Online registration begins on Monday, April 4, 2022, at 8:00 a. m.

MISD Summer Program

The MISD Summer Program is for elementary students K – 5th grade. Our summer program is jam packed with fun weekly themes, arts & crafts, indoor/outdoor recreation, and weekly entertainment/enrichment activities on and off campus. Breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack are provided daily by MISD/Aramark. The MISD Summer Program offers NEW flexible daily rates to accommodate any schedule. Parents pay a one-time registration fee and are charged only for the days that their student(s) attends the program. Registration for the 2022 MISD Summer Program coming soon.

MISD Holiday Care

MISD Childcare Programs offers Holiday Care for children grades K-5th. Your child will get to participate in a fun filled day of activities and field trips. Each day your child will participate in arts & crafts, gym games, and much more. Holiday Care offers parents a safe place for their children to stay while having fun, hanging out with friends, and making memories. The students will have many opportunities to participate in unique and exciting field trips during the Holiday Care Program.

Holiday Care registration will be available through Eleyo.

MISD After-School Program

The MISD After School Program serves children K – 5th grade and is located at most elementary campuses. This program operates during the school year and is open each regular school day from 3:00pm to 6:30pm. The program provides an afternoon snack, homework time and a variety of activities each week.

MISD Employee Preschool

The MISD Employee Childcare Program offers childcare for MISD Employees. Children or grandchildren of current MISD employees may attend any of our four childcare programs! Programs are tuition based and are provided on all school days and required teacher/staff workdays. We provide all day care for ages 6 weeks to pre-kindergarten age. Children are placed into groups based on their age on September 1st.

9019 9019 9019 9019 9019 9019 9019 9019 9019 9019 Group, a design collective dedicated to creating architecture that promotes justice and human dignity, celebrated the completion of the Virginia Family Health Center in McKinney, Texas. Located in Collin County, North Texas, the 25,000-square-foot Community Medical Center is a patient-centered medical home serving children, families, and individuals, regardless of their ability to pay.

The medical center is part of a partnership led by the North Texas Family Health Foundation to expand access to health care and improve health and wellness outcomes and health equity in McKinney and throughout North Texas. This is the first medical facility designed by MASS Design Group in the USA, created by the architects of more than a dozen medical institutions and laboratories around the world.

Externally, the clinic is designed to look like home in a residential area. The building has a traditional gable roof, repeated to create a village, suggesting that there are many services, forms of care and people. The design concept emulates traditional Texas aisle houses, or “Dogtrot houses”, which are characterized by multiple buildings connected by a walkway and a common roof.

Family Health Center Design – The health center integrates the main components of treatment and care, including clinical, community, and examination rooms. While modern medical facilities always offer facilities for clinics and examinations, public space, which is often overlooked, also takes precedence. The design was intended to feel welcoming and familiar, like a community center. To deinstitutionalize this building, MASS has broken down the large volume of the general clinic down to human scale. A key component of the center is the purposeful design of dedicated compartments for primary care, dental, staff, and study areas to make better use of space and care for patients:

Clinical: Community care support and dedicated space for medical staff to work and analyze patient information and test results. Ensuring adequate and comfortable space dedicated to the support of medical staff is essential to ensure the continuity of patient care. Service Integration: The design of the facility allows better integration of care services, including primary health and behavioral health services, making care more accessible and reducing stigma.
