There are probably curious people who have dreamed all their lives to see Hewitt first use a chainsaw and find out exactly under what circumstances he got the nickname Leatherface, but there are no surprises, the circumstances are quite predictable. The prequel, perhaps, satisfies a purely scientific interest, but on the whole it does not deviate one iota from the standard scheme: they arrived, ran, died. Five years ago, when horror cinema seemed to be degrading into insipid entertainment for the whole family, such fidelity to tradition and frankness in showing dismemberment was greeted with standing ovations, and even “Massacre” in 2003 still looked pretty fresh. But then the principle of the pendulum worked: cheap slashers are now released almost weekly, and every film school graduate is trying to outdo his rivals by mechanically increasing the number of released guts. It’s time to admit: tired. In particular, the new “Chainsaw”, made by a certain young director with the money of Michael Bay, is no longer scary, but stupid and disgusting. In homeopathic doses, sadism can excite, shock, but an extra step – and the monotonous vile pornography of violence begins. You can’t even send these guys to see a psychiatrist – they’re all right in the head; okay if they reveled in suffering, there would be something to talk about, but this slaughterhouse is just fulfilling a business plan, nothing personal.

The beginning of the leather face story. For some reason, it begins with childbirth, and not with conception. I wonder who is the father of this bloodthirsty maniac and such a brave guy that he climbed on a centner woman. Whatever it was, the baby was thrown into the trash, and the family of idiots found him and raised him as his own. Feel sorry for the boy too. He was expelled from work, the slaughterhouse was closed, the guy went berserk. Together with his generous family, they began to catch young skinny people for food. What for ? After all, they had a fat relative with glasses, whose meat could be eaten for six months. As usual, young people go somewhere on business, then to a concert, now to Vietnam. They create noise on the road and invite themselves to visit the sheriff. And then, as always, they suffered and went to the soup.

chainsaw is indeed the main character of this film. the duration of the film could have been easily put into 40 minutes instead of 90, throwing out all this canoe about the “becoming” of little Tommy on the path of a carver on human skin. if someone doubted that this pain in his soul is innate – welcome “… to the beginning of the session, don’t be late …”. Comparison with the previous part (not to mention the original) picture does not stand absolutely. mainly by the dynamics of the plot – what the hell was it to leave the last 10 corpses for the final 25 minutes of the film, when in the first hour they kill at most 5 (to be honest, I can only remember 3 for sure) ??? although, to be honest, this time the authors showed a little imagination in terms of bringing sheep to the slaughter of a chainsaw. what pleased – thanks to the success of the previous part, it was possible to attract normal actors to the second part (more precisely, minus the first, read on). I was sincerely sorry for Jordan Brewster, and the childhood idol, “rocker” Lee Tergesen (remember the series “Wonders of Science”?) was a pleasure to watch. not to mention the fact that blondes with big boobs have finally returned to American horror films …))) it’s a pity that the film didn’t repeat the box office success of the “original”, therefore, in the part that will be between the previous and the current one (and it will definitely be , because this film does not end at the place where the next one begins, which would be quite logical, isn’t it?) Finally, all the pieces of the puzzle are in place. The motive is clear, the story is known, the denouement is clear. The only thing left is HOW. How will everyone die? In this regard, the film does not fail and will not disappoint. Each death is memorable, bright (and I’m talking about death! :)), penetrating through the picture, causing a storm of applause.

Yes, the film is cruel (and what a cruel one!). Yes, the movie is predictable (not The Sixth Sense for sure!). Yes, it is dark and dramatic (do not expect positive). But that’s exactly what Texas Chainsaw Massacre fans wanted and got. Michael Bay along with Liebesman gives us a masterpiece of the horror genre. Whoever has nerves is naughty, I would not recommend watching the film – it will demolish the attic … But although … look at your health! Let’s all go crazy from what we saw and felt! After all, the more violence a person contemplates, the more it repels him (if the person is mentally healthy, of course). Personally, I prefer violence on screen to violence in real life (especially mine!).

May the saws be with you (…or what about Lucas?).

I’m sorry, I haven’t watched such perfect shit for a long time. The movie is boring, not scary and predictable. They unsuccessfully try to replace the aesthetics and plot in this picture with scenes of butchering “live carcasses”, but nothing remains except for an unpleasant aftertaste.
