Child Care

Providing a safe,
warm and caring environment for school-age children has long been the
foundation of the YWCAs childcare programming. The pillars are Ys Kids
and Summer Daze.

During the school
year,
Ys Kids
provides care before and after school at
nine Waterloo elementary
schools, plus sites in Cedar Falls and Hudson.
Summer Daze
is the all day program held through the summer.

The YWCA childcare
team also works with Tri-County Head Start to create
Wrap-Around Service that offers all-day
care to Head Start participants.

Playdays for
Christmas and Spring Break, conferences, etc. are another service
provided. Advance registration for Playdays is required.

Each
of these childcare programs offers positive adult role models,
educational opportunities and fun for the children. Financial Assistance
is based on
household size and income
and participation by youth with special needs is encouraged.

Y’s Kids
Before and After School

Y’s Kids before and after
school program
is
designed to meet the needs of parents whose schedules do not coincide
with their children’s school day. Although there will be time for
homework and academic assistance, Y’s Kids is a time for the children to
unwind, relax, and be creative, and enjoy the company of friends in a
safe and friendly environment with positive caring adult role models.
Y’s Kids programs are in compliance with the State of Iowa child care
regulations and the State Fire Marshal. Y’s Kids staff are certified in
First Aid, CPR, Universal Precautions and are trained as mandatory
reporters of child abuse. Y’s Kids staff have all successfully completed
a State of Iowa Criminal Record check as well as a national
fingerprinting process.

Please
feel free to print off a

Financial
Assistance application

“ITAVCC has been such a wonderful fit for my girls. They love the fun, learning environment, especially ‘grandparent’ time. I love the peace of mind I have knowing they are taken care of by such loving staff, so close to me every day!”

Stacey Pajazetovic, parent and
Friendship Village Employee

“My children have been attending It Takes A Village Childcare since opening day and I have loved watching them grow in knowledge and friendships. I appreciate the genuine and authentic care they show as a team, how they incorporate the parents into the program, and we love how the grandparents from the Village come each week. As a full time parent, I feel at peace knowing my children are in the best care when I am away at work.”

Ilyinskaya hospital – a modern outpatient hospital center :: Napoleon. The Battle of Waterloo was won by General Hemorrhoids.

Napoleon was sick with hemorrhoids. Everyone knows the fact that at the beginning of the battle of
Waterloo, he had a severe attack of this ailment. He hurried away from
battlefields and spent several hours in a bath of boiling water, escaping pain.

Great Napoleon Bonaparte – statesman, ruler
half of Europe and a brilliant commander. For all that, he was serious.
sick person. And he suffered not only from various diseases, but also from
traumatic consequences of multiple wounds. nine0006

Doctors and historians assume that Napoleon suffered from epilepsy. He
often fell into emotional incontinence. In childhood, this behavior
an active, wayward and stubborn child literally crawled up to the intestines
parents and the whole family, including servants. He himself admitted that he was
imp: “I did not retreat before anything and was not afraid of anything: I beat one,
scratched another and instilled fear in his peers. When his tutor
punishment ordered him to kneel at the entrance to the dining room, little Napoleon fell
in a hysterical fit with fainting and violent vomiting. Later, he, a young cadet,
was also punished and fell into a fit with convulsions. This shocked the boss so much.
military school, that he was immediately forgiven of all sins. nine0006

Napoleon, according to the great Cesare Lombroso, “suffered
epilepsy due to signs of degenerative structure of the organism. But great
the psychiatrist was born 15 years after the death of Bonaparte, which is why until the end
could not be objective. Now everyone knows that the growth of Napoleon was 167
centimeters, which for the beginning of the 19th century was even slightly more than average.
The classical description of convulsions was not given either by Napoleon’s court doctors or by his
allies and environment. They occurred only when Napoleon was shown external
dislike. There are descriptions of seizures during a parliamentary reception, and even in bed
prostitutes named Georges. Most likely, the brilliant commander was simply before
convulsions touchy … Although sometimes the emperor himself considered this tremor a great sign
great events: “La vibration de mon mollet gauche est un grand signe chez
moi. ..” – “the trembling of my left calf is a great sign…”

rolling on the floor. Although the Marquis de Talleyrand believed that in the fits of the Corsican
there is a large share of the game to the public. Modern doctors believe that all these
symptoms are not at all signs of epilepsy, but nothing more than psychogenic hysteroid
reactions characteristic of hysteroid personality disorder.

Napoleon was severely overcome by scabies caught during
the storming of Toulon and not healed to the end. Being wounded in the head by shrapnel
mortar bomb, he picked up a bannik from the hands of a dead gunner (a wooden brush
on the pole) to put out the sparks in the barrel of the gun. The gunner was sick, and Bonaparte
got infected. His chief medical officer, Dominique Larrey, and personal physician, Jean-Nicola
Corvisart-Desmarets wrote that to force the Corsican to observe even the minimum
dietary requirements or taking medication on time was almost impossible!
The emperor’s entourage often watched as Napoleon combed his hair until it bled.
body with nails, especially scars from bayonet wounds on the neck and chest and marks
ankle wounds. Previously, this was considered a consequence of scabies. Now it is considered
that these were, rather, signs of a psychosomatic disorder – for example,
neurodermatitis. nine0006

It is known that Bonaparte had bradycardia (as previously written – “delayed
circulation”), his pulse rate did not exceed 40 beats per minute. With this
the doctors also connected the fact that he was very cold. The emperor simply adored hot
baths in which he could lie for hours, enduring completely unthinkable
temperature! In the bath, he listened to reports and even made decisions about
movement of troops … According to one version, this skin bouquet was added and
anhidrosis, insufficient function of the sweat glands. nine0006

Emperor also suffered from migraines, was extremely sensitive to
weather changes. Moreover, the danger prompted him to activity, forcing him to
time of shock to become energetic. The pulse returned to normal. Doctors
suggest that along with manifestations of hysteria, Napoleon was also beaten
tonic-clonic convulsions caused by severe uremia caused by
kidney failure. As you know, gonorrhea, which Bonaparte contracted from
lascivious Josephine, as well as schistosomiasis, which he picked up in Egypt, were imprisoned
his kidneys and caused an obstruction of the urethra. The great commander urinated, crying,
groaning and swearing so that the grenadiers of the old guard, hearing it through thin
the fabric of the tent blushed like college girls. nine0006

In addition, Napoleon was sick with hemorrhoids. Everyone knows the fact
that at the beginning of the battle of Waterloo he had a violent attack of this ailment.
He hurried away from the battlefield and spent several hours in a bath with
boiling water to escape the pain. And then he also slept in a tent for more than an hour, because after
1812, he was stricken with Pickwick’s syndrome and involuntarily fell asleep at the very
inopportune moments . .. So it was not Wellington who won, but the general
Haemorrhoids!

Being loving (22 mistresses, and these are just the famous ones),
Napoleon was the owner of a whole bunch of venereal diseases. Some
historians believe that he literally “missed” the empire by, dealing with
women. André Castelo writes that Napoleon cured himself of “amorous
diseases” right in the carriage, rubbing various ointments into the skin in front of astonished
fellow travelers. The monarch’s doctor explained that the emperor picked up another ailment in 1813
year in Paris. According to historians, this perfectly explained why he,
having come for 100 days, he did not call his family to him. Such a “love sickness” clearly meant
a betrayal that the ardent Archduchess Marie-Louise would never forgive him…
Experts believe that if he had joined his family, he would have had every chance.
keep the crown for the family. During the accession of his son, Napoleon II, the daughter
would become regent, which would suit her father, the Austrian emperor,
and the Russian tsar too. ..

But the emperor was sick and
ended up on St. Elena, where he was healed by British horse-dressers, maybe
and following a secret order… The autopsy revealed extensive stomach cancer. English
doctors gave him preparations of mercury and arsenic, dissolving them in almond milk
and wine of the sort he liked. According to eyewitnesses, anyone who
tasted that wine, got sick for some reason… Stan Forshwood and Ben Vader,
examining Napoleon’s hair with high-precision instruments, they discovered an ultra-high
arsenic content. They believe that the poisoner was the husband of the last mistress
Corsican, Count of Montholon, whose jealousy was fueled by English gold.
This is confirmed by two features: it is known that from the gradual
arsenic poisoning is getting fat, and the fact that arsenic “preserves” corpses. When the body
the emperor was brought to Paris after 19years and opened the coffin, they saw that decay was completely
did not touch the body.
