Child Development Centers | Harrisburg Area YMCA

The Harrisburg Area YMCA’s Child Development Centers provide a safe, nurturing environment for children to learn, grow and develop social skills. We believe it is never too early to focus on the growth of the whole person. We see the unique character and temperament of each child. Our Centers support developmentally appropriate lessons to foster emotional, creative, and physical growth. They are a great place for your child to excel in a positive setting.

At the Y, we believe that all families should have access to the quality child care that they need. That’s why we provide the best childcare in the nation! We guarantee the YMCA is the best place for children to learn and grow.

Our child development programs are based on the four core values of the YMCA: caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

During each day in full daycare, our Child Development Centers staff takes the time to listen, guide, teach and play with warmth, patience, insight, and fairness. Each child develops at his or her own pace, which creates an environment of comfort, security, encouragement, and fun!
