Welcome to La Petite Academy in Columbus, OH! My name is Usha Bhaktava and I am the academy assistant director. I have a masters degree in Business administration, CDA and a certified master teacher. I have been with the company since 2016 as lead pre-k teacher and assistant manager.

We offer Infant Care, Preschool and other age-specific programs. Our experienced teachers seek training in a variety of topics including health and safety, curriculum and developmentally appropriate practices . All our teachers are trained in First Aid and CPR.

We value the relationships we have with our families and love to involve them in our many events including Winter activities, Thanksgiving Feast and more.

Our main hallway skylights allow natural light to fill our building, creating a bright and inviting atmosphere. Our playgrounds are equipped with climbing structures, along with grassy areas, a basketball court, and soccer goals.

We’re committed to providing simple ways to keep you connected throughout the day while your child is in our care. With live streaming video, you can view your child’s classroom from any device or computer. Plus, get real-time updates with our family communication app.

My name is Carrie and I am the academy director. I have a bachelor’s degree in early child education and have been with the company since 2003 as a teacher and a manager. I have two children of my own and know how important teaching and learning is to young children. I love hosting family outings at La Petite so we can get to know the families and create a growing community. I look forward to meeting you and your child during our tour.

Curriculum and Activities

We accept children ranging from 6 weeks old to preschool-aged. Each child is presented with age-appropriate activities and an individualized curriculum that stimulates their creativity. All classrooms are monitored by our staff to ensure the children’s safety. 

Meals and Snacks

We are happy to partner with the Ohio Department of Education Child Adult Care Food Program to provide each child with three nutritional meals a day. This service is available Monday through Friday. We also provide the children with snacks during the day so that they have the energy to participate in the fun activities we offer.

Our staff members love children and are qualified childcare providers. TLChildcare provides safe, educational, and well planned childcare services for your child. We also provide three nutritional meals by being a Sponsor with the Ohio Department  of Education food program Child Adult Care Food Program  (CACFP).   We provide this exceptional service Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm.
