Who is Day Care Centers, Inc.?
Day Care Centers, Inc. provides year-round high-quality child care services for children ages 6 weeks through 5 years of age, along with before and after school care for children ages 5 through 13 years. From June through August, a summer day camp program is offered. The Day Care’s programs use a developmental curriculum that is appropriate to each age group, helping to promote the healthy development of each child according to their own potential.
Our mission is to educate the whole child, socially, emotionally, physically, and academically while providing a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment. We recognize individual development and social and cultural differences in each child. We are committed to providing high-quality childcare programs that stimulate learning, ensure success, and promote positive social and emotional awareness in themselves and others.
The daycare center, located in the Ardsley Community Education Center, is a state-licensed facility.
The Day Care was established in 1983 to provide a quality care environment for children of working parents. The program has expanded from one room to a nine-room operation. Individual rooms for children of different age levels offer a variety of experiences in cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development.
In September of 1986 a before/after school room was opened. This program is for children from 5 through 12 years of age and is offered year-round. It offers everything from arts and crafts to homework supervision. During the summer months, this program is expanded to a full-day summer camp for children. The summer program offers Arts and Crafts, Class Trips, Swimming, Clubs, Computer Time, Math, Science, and Reading enrichment.
From 1990 to 2006 we operated a private Kindergarten program. The program was licensed by the Department of Education and offered an extensive learning experience in all the major areas of instruction.
We were a nationally accredited program through the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) from 2000-2007.
We have been a Pennsylvania Keystone STAR program since 2005 and a Pennsylvania Pre-K Counts Grantee from 2007- 2010. We participate in a subsidized child care program offered through Montgomery County Child Day Care Services, Child Care Works, formerly, Child Care Information Services (CCIS).
We have an immediate need for full-time Teachers in our Toddler Room.
Looking for fun and energetic candidates to interact with our toddlers. Must have the ability to build relationships with our families and prospective coworkers while creating a dynamic environment where play and learning intersect.

SUKHUM, March 4 – Sputnik, Badri Yesiava. Two kindergartens will be launched in the Gagra district by the end of 2023, Khana Gunba, deputy head of the district administration, told Sputnik. She noted that one preschool institution will open on Abazgaa Street in Gagra, the other in Pitsunda. this is part of the Soviet kindergarten, designed for eight groups. In the post-war years, most of its territory was privatized. “The main educational building of the kindergarten was privatized – there is a hotel that functions successfully. Repairs are underway in the second building of the facility, and that is why we will be able to accommodate only four groups of children of 20-25 people.
Also a kitchen and an assembly hall will be attached to this building,” Gunba said. According to her, the residents of Gagra over the past 8-10 years have been in dire need of additional places in kindergartens, and the opening of a new institution will solve this problem. According to official statistics, annually from 35 to 40 children from Gagra at the age of three cannot get into kindergarten. Most often, Gunba added, parents ask their grandparents to look after their children while they are at work, or hire nannies. There are six functioning kindergartens in the district. They are designed for 800 seats. Another kindergarten has been built in Pitsunda since 2017 under the Investment Program for the Social and Economic Development of Abkhazia. They plan to launch it. “This facility was not put into operation because communications were not provided.
