Here at Sunshine Daycare, Inc. our goal is to maintain and ensure a safe, healthy and happy environment where your child’s well-being is attended to both individually and in groups. This is demonstrated by treating your child respectfully and properly in a positive manner. We want your child to feel good about themselves and find that learning, sharing and playing can be fun and rewarding.
Our program content offers structure and flexibility in order to meet the needs of every child. Our facility is large enough to admit up to 109 children from the age of 8 weeks to 12 years. Each age group has their own curriculum that they follow and program goals to meet. We want each child to be creative, to try new things and to feel secure with themselves.
Since 2000, Sunshine Daycare, Inc. has been licensed by the Office of Children and Family Services and is a member of the Child Care Council. (Child care council connects with us monthly to provide in-service training)

Janine Sciarabba is the owner and operator of Sunshine Daycare, Inc. Janine was born and raised right here in West Irondequoit. She began working here, under a prior daycare when it opened in 1984. She opened Sunshine Daycare, Inc. in 2000. She promotes a family knit atmosphere. Janine has been fortunate to have a low staff turn-over, most of her staff has been with her since she opened in 2000. Former students have even returned and now are working for the daycare.

Sunshine Daycare, Inc. knows how difficult it can be to find a quality care provider for your children. We welcome children as young as 8 weeks old. As a new parent, you can be assured your baby will be cared for by a loving, nurturing, qualified provider. We continue to care for your child all the way up to age 12.
After School Care
At Sunshine Daycare, Inc., our kids are always active and busy! We provide structured, age-appropriate curricula both before and after school, as well as bus transportation to and from West Irondequoit schools. In the summertime, our day camp is the place to be. Themed weeks and weekly field trips. We know your children will love it.
