Education in a royal way. How Prince William and Kate Middleton raise their children

Royal education. How do Prince William and Kate Middleton raise their children?

Author: TutorOnline editors

Section: Useful tips for parents

A few days ago, good news came from London: the family of Prince William and Kate Middleton is now truly large. The Duchess of Cambridge has given birth to a boy, and we hope that the third child in the family will be as beautiful and happy as his older brother and sister.

Inspired by the positive news, we decided to delve deeper into the issue of royal upbringing. We studied the Western media, analyzed the official statements of the royal family, watched a lot of interviews and here are the conclusions we made.

Show your feelings and don’t be shy about it

It’s no secret that the upbringing of the children of aristocrats has always been different from upbringing in ordinary families. There are strict rules, regulations and many prohibitions, which a crowned person (even if she still walks under the table) should not do. Kate and William in this regard are quite “folk” parents: they hug their children, have fun with them and don’t really worry about the form in which the next paparazzi camera will capture them. And they are doing the right thing!

Psychologists say that tactile contact with a child is the most important condition for his harmonious development . The child must be hugged, kissed, stroked on the head, held on his knees and squeezed in hugs as often as possible. It does not matter whether you are raising a boy or a girl, displays of tenderness and love do not spoil the character and do not contribute to the formation of excessive sentimentality. So take a cue from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and don’t forget to hug your kids for no reason.

Instill in children respect for work

If you were born a prince, then it would seem that you are much bigger, higher and better. However, if belonging to the privileged class is given from birth, the right to be called a good person must be earned. Kate and William are well aware of this.

Prince William is in the air ambulance and goes to work every day. Kate is actively involved in charity work and raises children on her own. Of course, there is a nanny in the family, but the Duchess of Cambridge is happy to perform all the duties of caring for children herself and does not see anything “out of status” in this. For most of us, this lifestyle is not surprising, but our grandmothers are not the Queen of England. Kate and William support a healthy family model, promote the right values, and genuinely love their children and each other. We think that this is a worthy example to follow.

Spend more time with your family

If the heirs to the throne go to the park, museums, playgrounds, travel or just walk with the whole family, then we, busy and businesslike, should be ashamed to hide behind time pressure. A few years ago, the British press wrote that the Queen was unhappy with her grandson: they say that too often he ignores official events and neglects protocol. And William, in turn, retorted: receptions and receptions are not to his liking, but cozy home gatherings are just that.

Prince William really enjoys the simplest family pleasures. For example, watching cartoons with children. But parents have no choice, because first-born George and baby Charlotte are very offended if mom and dad do not share their passion for Peppa pig and fireman Sam.

Teach your children to consume wisely

In numerous interviews, Kate Middleton admitted that she does not allow children to use gadgets, controls the time spent in front of the TV, and tries not to overdo it with toys (which, by the way, is extremely difficult to do, because Charlotte and George are always given something. )

The Duchess of Cambridge believes that the best entertainment for a child is time spent with parents, and a million toys will never replace mom and dad. A crowned mother does not seek to dress her children in branded items, does not spend huge sums on children’s haute couture collections, and does not worry if her daughter appears in public in the same dress several times.

Educate and educate your child

Did you know that when Prince William ascends the throne, he will be the first king with a higher education?! For example, Elizabeth II never attended university and was home-schooled.

Prince William and Kate Middleton are educated people, and they also try to instill in children a love of knowledge from an early age. The couple’s eldest son is already attending Thomas’s Battersea co-ed school, and Charlotte has gone to kindergarten. Children are not overloaded with activities and are not required to attend several circles at the same time. It was in order to make the learning process as comfortable as possible for the kids that parents chose good, but by no means the most prestigious or elite educational institutions.

Try to be free from prejudice

In 2017, Prince William took part in a campaign in support of people with psychological and mental illness.

Earlier, Prince Harry, William’s younger brother, also spoke frankly about his psychological problems after the death of his mother.

Unfortunately, in our society there are still taboo topics that we are afraid to talk about with children, which we try to hush up. The problem of inclusion causes a feeling of embarrassment in adults, and misunderstanding in children and, as a result, rejection and manifestations of cruelty. Parents are obliged to explain, to teach the child kindness, acceptance of the “other” and readiness to come to the aid of a person who needs it. May Prince William be an example for us in this as well.

The TutorOnline team wishes the newborn prince good health and patience to his parents =) May all children be happy!

Kate Middleton spoke about the feeling of loneliness after the birth of her first child

Style

Kate Middleton complained about the difficulties she faced when she became a mother for the first time – according to her, she felt incredibly lonely after the birth of Prince George. Today, the troubles are over, but memories of them flooded over the Duchess when visiting the children’s center in Cardiff, where she was the day before.

The Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton spoke openly about the difficulties of motherhood for the first time – the mother of three children spoke about the loneliness she faced after the birth of her first child, Prince George. She told about this to the staff of the children’s center in Cardiff, which she visited on Wednesday.

Kate Middleton visited the Ely and Careau children’s center as part of a small one-day tour of the UK. The Duchess of Cambridge spoke with the children of the center, who told her how the organization works and what kind of support parents of children with special needs receive.

At one point, Kate opened up: she admitted that she felt “isolated” while living in Anglesey in North Wales after the birth of Prince George in 2013.

The Duchess said it was tough for her because Prince George was still a “tiny baby” and Prince William was a search and rescue helicopter pilot who was constantly off duty, the Duchess says.

“It’s nice to be back in Wales! I’ve talked to some moms [here] before. It was my first year and I just got George and William was still on the search and rescue team when we got here. I was in such isolation that I felt cut off,” complained Kate Middleton. She added that her family was away and her husband often had night shifts.

“If only I had such a center!” the duchess expressed her regret.

Kate Middleton also played with the 11-month-old girl and talked to her mother, Rea, who spoke about the special support that can be received from other parents at the center.

“You can come in here and tell people you didn’t get enough sleep and everyone else will say they didn’t,” laughed Ree and Kate. Ri noted that everyone here perfectly understands the problems of parents, and no one will blame anyone for this.

The Duchess was delighted with the community center, saying that “it’s much harder to rely on the support of other generations”, probably referring to the help of older relatives. “There is so much pressure on parents, but they really need company and support too,” Kate Middleton concluded.

Kate’s days of loneliness are over – now, in addition to George, she has two more children, and Prince William began to devote more time to his family. The father of the family has already complained about the difficulties he faces as a father of many children – that in addition to children and work, he only has time to sleep, the Duke of Cambridge spoke last year during a conversation at a gala evening with British rock musician Eric Clapton , who is also a longtime friend of the prince.

Clapton asked if William, as a father of three and heir to the throne, had time for hobbies.

“It’s quite difficult to find free time with children,” the prince confirmed. He added that he spends all his free time on the only priority activity: “In any free time, I sleep!”.

However, the complaints about the fatigue and loneliness of the Dukes of Cambridge seem strange to many. The well-known professional nanny Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo has been helping the family for several years now. She graduated from the prestigious British College Norland, which has been teaching childcare since 189.2 years. Kate and William hired her in 2014 when George was just eight months old.

Maria was born in Spain, which allows her to teach Spanish to children. The Dukes of Cambridge periodically proudly report in their interviews that their older children already communicate in a foreign language.

Borallo really spends a lot of time with her children – the paparazzi quite often take pictures of her during walks or at official events when her parents cannot be near George, Charlotte and Louis. In addition to her, grandparents on the mother’s side are involved with the children: Carol and Michael Middleton periodically stay with their grandchildren when Kate and William are away or perform royal duties.
