Summer Camps for Kindergarteners, Toddlers + Preschool Age Kids (5 & Under)

We are here to help you locate summer camps for those hard-to-find age groups, including teenagers and PRESCHOOLERS! It seems there are plenty of camps for elementary-age kids, but we’ve also tracked down local camps for ages 5 & under to help you find a preschool or kindergarten summer camp near you.

{Side note – this is how Lakeland Mom got started – I was searching for summer camps when my kids were 4 & 6 and had a hard time finding anything for the younger one, so I decided I’d make a website where I could list summer camps!}

If you’re looking for a toddler summer camp, preschool summer camp, or summer camps for kindergarteners near you in the Lakeland or Winter Haven area, this list is for you. There is no set theme for these camps, other than the ages they cover – summer camps for 3 year olds, summer camps for 4 year olds, and summer camps for 5 year olds.

Please check directly with camp organizers for the most up-to-date details. All information on our website is for informational purposes only and each listing includes a link directly to the source.

For a complete list of summer camps in Lakeland, Polk County, and Central Florida, check out our full Summer Camp Guide.

Summer camp at sea | Together with mom

We invite you to the family camp “Together with mom”!

Every summer we organize a family camp in Greece. We love our cozy hotel on the very beach in the village of Vourvourou. We gather here and create for ourselves a magical and cozy world of kindness, joy, respect for children and ourselves.

The camp program is designed for children of different ages , divided into thematic weeks with a day off for trips and excursions outside the program.

We DO NOT do many family camps, we do ONE! We and our children are waiting for it all year long! We are the creators of the project “Together with Mom”. We go there with our children and create a cozy “together with the mother” world there for three weeks for ourselves, our children and for those who want to go with us.

In 2023 we will hold camp from May 28th to June 18th. This will be the ninth (!) trip.

Weekly camp dates:
May 28 – June 4
June 4 – June 11
June 11 – June 18
You can go for 1, 2 or 3 weeks or another period.

We gather Russian-speaking families from different countries and organize a high-quality cultural space for communication, which this year is so lacking for many.

Together we will create a comfortable and safe family space where children and parents can “breathe” after a dynamic city year. All participants in our camp will have a slow time for games, contemplation, calm doing nothing, friendship, visiting each other (which is especially valuable for children) and a calm choice of what they want to do right now.

What activities will be at the camp?
Our camp is three weeks and three journeys into the world of creativity and games: “Miracles around”, “Theater in the book” and “I create the world”.

1-2 and 3-5 years – classes for early development, acquaintance with the world, development of fine motor skills, speech development, music lessons, finger games, mini-tales on an apron, soft school with parents.

6-10 years old – creative and scientific workshops, mini-lectures about amazing phenomena, book readings, playing clay, free play, active games on the beach and meadow. Soft school with parents. Acquaintance with the theater of puppets, objects, puppets and shadows based on modern children’s books.

11-14 years old – creative workshops, handicrafts, ukulele lessons, theatrical performances with stage combat, quests and treasures, photocross and acquaintance with the profession of a film voice actor. We will show a performance for teenagers and children with a discussion of the topic of how the brain works at this age.

Evening activities, songs by the sea, a trip to the lake and climbing the mountain, a lot of sea and sun between creative activities.

We create a family camp as a space for a comfortable joint creative recreation for children with their parents, finding a balance between swimming, walking, sunsets by the sea and a program filled with our favorite wonders from nothing – theater, music, books and games. We love to create a performance-like atmosphere – spinning one story for several days, filling each day with a piece of the puzzle, plunging participants deeper into the story, touching emotions and creating new experiences. There are no animators in the camp, there are presenters who offer and captivate all participants with a topic, but the atmosphere is created by the participants themselves. That is why every camp is unique. An important part of the camp is the joint creativity of children and adults.

Why? This is the best way to communicate with children who love to do things with you. Behind a common cause, which is interesting to many children at once, a bridge appears for common topics, acquaintances, true friendship, good communication.

We welcome the participation of parents who want to talk about their hobbies, introduce other participants to their profession, favorite book or game!

Talented people come to us who have something to share! We are waiting for every small and adult participant!

Zlata Glotova – director and artist of the children’s theater “Beads”, a teacher of early development classes and a theater children’s studio, leading family camps.

Vladimir Glotov – actor, musician, host of family camps, theater teacher.

Sea adventures

It’s no secret that another very important point when traveling to Greece is the real, not fabulous sea 🙂 . The sea is an incredible discovery and inspiration for children and adults. Every year, again and again!

After all, the sea is: to walk barefoot on the sand, to find a beautiful shell, to collect a whole fist of pebbles, to be surprised by a live crab, to see the beauty of the sunset, to build a sand castle, to squeal and splash with mom and dad.
Therefore, we do not overfill our vacation with activities. On the contrary, we carefully support these discoveries of kids and adults.

On the beach we will play fairy tales and sing funny songs, build a sand palace (with the help of moms and dads) and then play in sand labyrinths. In addition, we will hold interesting activities for kids, finger and round dance games.

Participation fee

Registration fee – 100 euro The contribution includes paying for the work of the camp organization team, organizing work with the hotel, creating a comfortable family space in the camp and solving household issues.

Cost of the camp program – 200 euros for 1 week for a family with 1 child.
The cost of the program includes the development and implementation of the camp program, the work of leaders and staff, materials.

Additionally purchased: air tickets, accommodation, meals, transfers and visas.

Approximate calculation of the total cost of a trip for 1 week for a family (1 adult and 1 child):
– program + accommodation in apartments + org. fee – 800 euros
– meals 30 euros per day (if you cook yourself) – 210 euros
– air tickets and transfers
– other expenses, everyone has their own 🙂 we organize our vacation clearly and well.

Where will we live?

We will go to the village Vourvourou (Chalkidiki, Sithonia) . This is a place where mostly parents with small children rest, because there are pine trees, sand, silence and the warmest sea … There are no attractions and other tourist things, but we think this is a plus.

Our hotel is located right on the seashore, there is a lot of greenery around and it is incredibly beautiful and quiet. The hotel has spacious apartments and studios with a kitchen.

The cost of staying at the hotel – from 65 to 85 euros per day (depending on the type of room)

In the morning (approximately 8:00 – 12:00)
A fabulous start to the day (fairy tale/fun dance)

To reserve a place in a group, write to us at [email protected]

Please indicate in the letter:
1. name
2. number of adults and children
3. age of children
4. contact phone number (mobile )
5. Why should you be invited to our camp?

We will be happy to answer all your questions and tell you more about the camp by calling +7 (495) 410 04 28 or by mail [email protected]

Many families who went with us once go with us every year. And this is very valuable, because it means that we feel good together 🙂 We are always glad to make new friends, join us!

In our camp, parents take an active part together with their children. In 2018, we filmed music videos. Look what happened 🙂

More photos from our trips see on this page in the photo gallery.

We take long walks in the park in order to thoughtfully explore the world, taking our time. We play a lot of team games – in the yards you can’t make a big company to play dodgeball or Shark. And we have a team.

We read and discuss interesting books. There is no time in the year to analyze in detail the story of Bulychev or Dragunsky, and the authors hid a lot of important meanings for the guys between the lines. We will discuss them all.

We arrange a lecture hall about something new and interesting – we have the history of inventions, then geographical discoveries, there is no time to be bored! We read so that it is interesting and understandable for children from 5 to 9years.

On the topic of the lecture, we hold a Master class and do something cool with our own hands: we sculpt, glue, weave, design – and you can’t list everything.

Let’s stretch our muscles and learn stamina and restraint in sword fighting training! The equipment and the cool coach are with us, the fighting spirit is with you.

During the shift, we will figure out how our brain rests and works, how to eat right and why go in for sports, we will understand how to protect the heart and lungs, and in general – how different systems of the human body are arranged.

In each shift

We give lectures on the topic in a very accessible language: so that a 6-year-old can understand it, and a 9-year-old does not get bored. After the lecture, we do a creative project or experiment to reinforce the new material.

Every week we will prepare a mini-concert “Minute of Glory”. From the experience of past years, we know how children want to show everyone their talent, their ability to do something: dance, sing, play an instrument, weave baubles, show tricks. You won’t find a more grateful audience than camp friends!

Once a week we have a play math class with interesting problems and puzzles.

Also once a week – sword fencing with a trainer from the Sword Fencing Federation.

Every day:

  • special games for team building and communication improvement so that children learn to hear and listen, feel free to make new friends
  • board games to have fun and chat without embarrassment
  • reading with a discussion of children’s classics in order to thoughtfully find the idea that the author put into the text
  • two long walks with outdoor team games, running around and noise-din

And a great company!
