Kindergarten, waiting for overhaul for decades, collapses by itself…

This once majestic building, immersed in green plantings, upon closer examination, causes nothing but a feeling of alarm. Peeling, peeling, in some places stripped to brick walls. Tall, rotten, wooden frames, brittle even in appearance. And this is kindergarten number 26, which dozens of children involuntarily attend. No, the kindergarten is good, the staff is caring, only the condition of the house itself causes serious concern. Parents complained, including to the current deputy of the Legislative Assembly, who walked with us and inspected the premises, helping to open the doors like a battering ram.

Anastasia BAKUSHEVA parent whose child attends kindergarten No. 26

this building will not be where my children go.

Because the ceiling started to collapse there too. The neglected, if not to say, abandoned state of the building is explained by the fact that when in 2016 it was hastily accepted from the Ministry of Defense, no one stuttered about the preliminary overhaul. They just accepted everything. Over the years, the Education Committee has carried out a major overhaul of sewerage, water supply and sanitation, as well as heating of the kindergarten. But with repairs here, in principle, additional difficulties arise.

Marina SEKERZHITSKAYA First Deputy Chairman of the Education Committee of Chita

There was a collapse of the ceiling plaster. Considering that this is a building of cultural heritage, we do this taking into account the requirements for such objects. For this period, eight hundred thousand were allocated from the budget of the urban district of the city of Chita. To conduct an examination. And from how much it will cost according to the results of the examination, repair work will be carried out.

In general, the place is good, in the city center, quiet and easy to breathe due to the abundance of trees. It is not for nothing that the residence of our governor is nearby, who could, and take an interest, who is so happily making noise behind his fence. And the new head of the city administration, who has been in charge of the social sphere for a long time, cannot but be aware of the problems of this institution.

Anastasia Bakusheva shows the rooms where her children rest and play. And also about the contribution of parents to the comfort of play groups, and re-emerging problems.

It turns out linoleum, we laid it ourselves, our parents bought it. They bought paint, painted the walls, painted over. The only manager said that they bought curtains. We hired a team of builders, it turns out, they painted everything for us.

It rained for several days in a row, here everything flowed from the ceiling, dripping, lime crumbled here. You can see where it drips, where what places.

    Yuri ZHITLUKHIN Correspondent

The head of the kindergarten and the teachers did not talk to us, they are afraid. Because in any situation they will be extreme. But pedagogical workers cannot be hostages of the situation. Because they can’t really do anything.

It is already clear that it is useless to tint and whiten something here. Floor beams, walls, floors – everything is rotten, everything needs to be changed. As well as electrical, plumbing, windows. Bring it into line with all the requirements, SNiPs, but let us recall that this is a Cultural Heritage building and make everything here an order of magnitude more complicated and expensive.
