Previously, expensive outfits, social conversations, balls, etiquette were the attributes of a princess’s life. .. But time goes on, and this cannot but be reflected in royal persons. What traditions do they continue to observe, and what has sunk into oblivion? In this material, we talk about modern princesses and their lifestyle.

royal traditions
Everyone and everything is known about the British royal family. But, besides Elizabeth II, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, there are 30 more monarchies in the world, in each of which young royals look and live in completely different ways.

Elisabeth and Eleanor are daughters of King Philip of Belgium and his wife Queen Mathilde.
Eldest Elizabeth is preparing to succeed her father on the throne and become the first Queen of Belgium in history to receive this title by birthright. The girl graduated from college in Wales, and is now studying at the Royal Military Academy in Brussels. The heiress already has great authority among the citizens of her country due to exemplary behavior, closeness to the people and an impeccable sense of style. Elizabeth is even compared to Kate Middleton.

Her younger sister Eleanor goes to school in Brussels, enjoys playing the violin and drawing. In addition, Eleonora, along with Elizabeth and two brothers, is engaged in volunteer activities: during the pandemic, the children of the Belgian king helped the elderly and delivered food to them.
IT’S INTERESTING
Kate Middleton and other stars who live in luxury homes
Today, Prince William and Kate Middleton live in Kensington Palace’s luxurious apartment A1. The magnificent 20-room apartment overlooking Hyde Park is decorated in gold tones (what else?), but, for example, the children’s bedrooms are furnished with standard IKEA furniture.

Royal education from Kate Middleton: what to learn from the Duchess
Leonor and Sophia of Spain they were born a year and a half apart. The sisters attend the school of Santa Maria de los Rosales near Madrid, where their father, King Philip VI, also studied. The girls do almost everything together: they play music and dance, learn languages (Chinese, French, Arabic) and even share one room for two. As befits royals, girls often attend official events, immersing themselves in state affairs. But since Leonor is older, it is she who will inherit the throne after her father.
Alexandra of Luxembourg
Alexandra is the only daughter of Henri, Grand Duke of Luxembourg. She is one of the most educated and purposeful princesses. By the age of 30, the girl managed to take a course in psychology at the University of Luxembourg, study social sciences in America, receive a degree in philosophy, ethics and anthropology in Paris and a master’s degree in conflict resolution in Dublin. In addition, she speaks six languages: English, French, Luxembourgish, Spanish, German and Italian. In her free time, the princess likes to travel, play tennis, dance and do gymnastics. Nothing is known about her personal life, but she can’t wait to see who will be able to win the heart of such an enviable bride.
And who will get one? The richest and most unmarried heirs of the world
Katharina-Amalia, Alexia and Ariana Netherlands
There are three princesses in the family of King Willem Alexander of the Netherlands and Queen Maxima: Katharina-Amalia, Alexia and Ariana. The girls study at the Christian Gymnasium Sorghvliet in The Hague. Each speaks Dutch, English and Spanish. Together they do ballet, hockey, judo and horseback riding. The sisters also have a love for music: Katarina-Amalia plays the violin, and Alexia and Ariana play the piano.
Katarina-Amalia is the future Queen of the Netherlands, as she is the first in line to the throne. But unlike many other states, this is not surprising – Holland has long been called the country of queens.
Eloise, Princess of the Netherlands
Eloise is the niece of the reigning king of the Netherlands. The girl does not look like her cousins at all: at least, because she leads the most ordinary way of life. The princess rarely appears at official events, but at the same time she actively maintains Instagram (the social network is recognized as extremist and banned on the territory of the Russian Federation), in which she has almost 270,000 subscribers. In 2020, Eloise graduated from the Maerlant Lyceum in The Hague. Now she is running her own clothing store, and, like a true blogger, she shares a chronicle of her everyday life on her personal page.
Ingrid Alexandra, Princess of Norway
17-year-old Princess Ingrid Alexandra is second in line to the Norwegian throne after her father, Crown Prince Haakon of Norway. When a girl ascends the throne, she will become the second queen in the entire history of Norway, so Ingrid is increasingly taking part in official events, speaks on her own and even communicates with heirs to the thrones of other countries. For example, in 2018, the Princess gave a tour of the children’s sculpture park, opened in her honor, for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Free from royal duties, Ingrid devotes time to sports: she skis, kickboxes and surfs. As for education, the future queen receives it at an international private school in Oslo, where she studies foreign languages in depth.

44-year-old Crown Princess Victoria is the king’s daughter Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden. She received the most suitable education for a future ruler: she graduated from the Western Catholic University in Angers (France), after which she entered Yale, where she studied public administration, political science, diplomacy, peacekeeping and the humanities, and received a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Uppsala. She trained at the Swedish Parliament, at the Swedish Embassy in Washington, at the UN. In addition, Victoria served three weeks in the Swedish army. According to surveys of Swedish citizens, most are not opposed to the crown princess now succeeding her father on the throne.
Victoria’s personal life also turned out well. In 2010, she married her trainer Daniel Westling. The couple have a daughter, Estelle, and a son, Oscar.
The future queen’s younger sister is Princess Madeleine. She did not need to study public administration and world politics, so the girl connected her life with child psychology and volunteer activities. She has worked for the international charity Childhood, interned at UNICEF, and co-founded the ThankYou by Childhood campaign, which addresses the issue of child sexual abuse.
In 2019, the princess released a children’s book, Stella and the Secret. Despite the relative freedom in the choice of activities, Madeleine is still subject to the royal protocol. So, the princess could not marry the lawyer Jonas Bergström, with whom she had a relationship for a long time until her older sister got married. Fortunately, the lovers passed the test of time successfully. Now the couple has three children.
Kate Middleton’s bad habits – from non-compliance with etiquette to smoking
Iman and Salma, Princesses of Jordan
Iman and Salma’s mother is Queen Rania, the second most famous and influential style icon among royals after Kate Middleton, and daughters take an example from her. The eldest Iman is especially similar to her mother. In addition to external resemblance, the girl has the same interests – diplomacy and fashion. Since childhood, she has accompanied Rania on trips around the world, attending charity events and receptions with foreign rulers. Princesses always impeccably chooses an outfit for going out. Iman is now pursuing her higher education: after graduating from The International Academy – Amman in Jordan, she entered Georgetown University.
Her younger sister Salma doesn’t see the world that often. The girl is interested in sports and military art, therefore, after graduating from the same school, she continued her studies at the Royal Military Academy in Sandhurst, where not only her grandfather, father, brother, but also the British princes William and Harry studied.

Bajrakitiyabha and Sirivannavari are the daughters of the ruling King of Thailand, Rama X, from different marriages. Bajrakitiyabha is 42 years old, she studied law and international relations, received a doctorate in law. Now the princess is engaged in protecting the rights of Thai women in places of detention and after their return to freedom. Bajrakitiyabha is also a Goodwill Ambassador to the UN.
35-year-old Sirivannavari, unlike her sister, is interested in fashion, which made her more recognizable in the world. The girl graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Bangkok with a degree in Fashion and Textiles, after which she left for Europe, where she trained at fashion houses in France (Balmain, Christian Dior) and Italy (Salvatore Ferragamo, Giorgio Armani, Bulgari). Now the princess has her own brand. She also helps Thai newcomers to the fashion world and organizes fashion shows in Thailand.
Why Russians hate Meghan Markle and love Kate Middleton so much
Aiko, Princess of Japan
Despite the fact that Princess Aiko is the only child of Emperor Naruhito of Japan, she will not ascend the throne after her father. The succession law was discussed several times, the result is the same – only a man can be a monarch. However, it is assumed that for Aiko this outcome is even better. She does not like to be the center of attention and has acquired the title of “princess who never smiles.” According to rumors, the girl suffers from many disorders: from neurosis to anorexia. Aiko resists illnesses as best she can, and judging by the photos published on her 19anniversary, successful. Many noted that she began to look much better.
The princess is very talented: she studies Japanese language and literature at Gakushuin University, speaks English and Spanish, writes scripts for plays, plays the piano and violin.
Sihaniso Dlamini, Princess of Eswatini
Eldest daughter of Mswati III, King of Eswatini (a small kingdom in South Africa), Sihaniso Dlamini received a Western education. The princess studied in the UK and California, then received a master’s degree in digital communications from the University of Sydney. Life abroad greatly influenced the princess’s outlook. She refused to follow the ancient traditions of her native country, so she wears jeans and miniskirts, goes to parties, drinks alcohol, and does not observe the vow of chastity.
Speaking of parties. Sihaniso raps under the pseudonym Pashu. This lifestyle does not prevent the girl from engaging in public activities: she is the Minister of Information Technology and Communications of Eswatini. The princess is not married, she has a son.
Troubled children of Russian celebrities — from drugs to court with parents

Online47 introduces readers to what miracles these people are capable of
An amazing musical and master ensemble – the Svoyasi family club welcomes guests in Slantsy. A close-knit, multi-age family rich in talents. They even dance amulets. Online47 introduces readers to what miracles these people are capable of.
Dolls and songs
What they don’t do: they knit, and make amazing dolls, and sing songs that are so attractive to those who cross the threshold that you can’t drive away guests with a broom.
In their warm house there are also old samovars – herbal teas, and a gramophone, and a record with “Rio Rita”, and homespun carpets. And also – baskets, old suitcases, looms, and a lot of other interesting stuff.
87-year-old Tamara Ivanovna Ponizova, a talented weaver and singer, did a lot for the team.
“If you love a Russian song and are interested in Russian traditions, if you want to learn how to make souvenirs from birch bark (and not only), if you are ready to travel around festivals and holidays, if your close-knit family lacks an emotional outburst, if you have nowhere to realize your creativity, if you just want to communicate with us, then you are welcome to us! Singles welcome too! All you need is your desire! Write, come. We live in the PKiO of the city of Slantsy, Leningrad Region, ”they report on their VK page.

Home and family
“Friends”, as the owners of this warm house say, can be translated as “home, family”. That is, it is directly about them. And the main direction of their creative life is the skillful use of elements of folklore and crafts to preserve the traditions of the past – Russian folk games, songs, customs and rituals.
Local residents bring exhibits here – they give the Svoyasi team a variety of things with history. And they also accept gifts: just now, for example, relatives sent a collection of dolls from the Far East, which the craftswoman of all trades and an excellent singer Lyudmila Dmitrievna Bezyazykova told about with pleasure.
There is a whole geography in her destiny. She comes from the Voronezh region. Together with her family, she moved to Saratov, then to the Far East, and then across the country to the village of Yasnoye, Kaliningrad Region. At 19In 92, the leaders and the Bezyazykov clan – 16 people moved to the village of Novoselye, Slantsy district, and at the same time the team became the winner of the regional competition of family creativity.
And since February 2011, the family club of Russian traditional culture “Svoyasi” has been living in the Park of Culture and Leisure in the city of Slantsy.
“Folklore is the main thing in life,” says Lyudmila Dmitrievna. And we try to pass this affection on to our children. Let them learn something new, and give us inspiration. We continue to collect bit by bit songs, folklore, and revive crafts.”
Not far from the premises where their wonderful museum is located, where they welcome guests and rehearse, preparing for performances, there is a clearing with a gazebo and a well.
This time the leaders and representatives of the regional mass media came to them – participants of the seminar organized by the Parliament of the Leningrad Region. They drank tea from a samovar, listened to the singing – didn’t want to leave…
And the songs of “Svoyasi” are lingering, kind. You listen, and your heart stops – you want to listen again and again – there is so much real in them, coming from somewhere from the depths of centuries.
